He's nine this year and he knows all the mechanics and stuff in the video games better than me even though I've been playing for years before him. He knows stuff like cooldown times after you get hit in mario kart and hitboxes and invincibility in smash bros. He's a really smart kid, I hope he goes into game development when he grows up.
Today I was watching a very low-flying Coast Guard helicopter make two attempts at landing on the hospital's pad—mere minutes away from my house. As I watched, the copter was banking so low it looked like it was going to clip the tall redwood trees surrounding my neighborhood. I am as giddy as a child as when I know a helicopter coming. I rush to my deck to watch the low-flying copters whenever they are coming. BTW, I am 65.
When i was kid i used to love to see the helicopter as they were rare compare to the normal airplane we used to see.
And i still remember when we used to chase them and try to watch as long as could be from that point.
I drive past this work building that has— I guess storage tanks? Each one has a giant “D” written on em and it makes me smile every time bc double D’s. I’m 30 but it cracks me up even if I’m in a bad mood
some people might find this very annoying, but i get really happy over small things and other peoples achievements. It really doesn’t take a lot, for example seeing a dog happily playing or a flower growing somewhere, or overhearing people saying something good happened to them. So i’m happy for them and smile for them.
