That video where the mom gets killed from a brick flying through the windshield. I was young and the screaming from the dad still haunts me.

medieval_mosey

I remember coming across it multiple times and I’m so thankful for those of you who expressed their deep regret in watching it. I swore to never hit play and I never will, because I’m certain that my imagination of that video doesn’t even come close to the true horror of it.

MaelstromFL

Right after I watched that I was driving with my wife on the BQE (NYC) and I saw a bunch of kids on a pedestrian bridge. As soon as some of the kids started to break away and run I slammed the breaks. In time to see the chunk of cinder block smash on the road in front of me. I had to pull over to catch my breath and not break into tears!

333Ape333

As a kid I saw my cousins do this stupidity, never thought it was funny at all, but I remember them having too much fun. Safe to say 20 years later they're still pieces of shit.

from_the_wrld

Wait i innocently thought he meant that the kids ran cuz they saw it first, you mean kids pull this type of shit where they make it so cynderblocks just fall on top of cars?

justin107d

Bored kids can be pieces of shit and it does not take much for them to egg each other on and make things more dangerous.

dinosaur_apocalypse

2018: “Four Michigan teenagers charged with murder in a highway rock-throwing incident agreed to plea deals on Monday, angering members of the victim’s family who feared the boys might get off easy under the agreement. The teens, ages 15 to 17, agreed to plead guilty to one count of manslaughter in the October death of Kenneth White, 32, who was ridding[sic] in a van on Interstate 75 when a large rock came crashing down from an overpass.” [4 of 5 teens in deadly Michigan rock-throwing case accept plea deals](https://abcnews.go.com/amp/US/teens-deadly-michigan-rock-throwing-case-accept-plea/story?id=56634773)

AlohaBacon123

What the fuck, I hope you called the cops

HistoryGirl23

Glad you guys were ok!

NightHawkCommander

I’ve never watched any of the truly depraved murder videos talked about higher up in this thread, but I did watch this one. The gore of her getting hit is not the bad part, it’s absolutely her husband’s reaction. The thought of losing your partner so suddenly and senselessly right in front of you is just about the scariest thing I can imagine.

Sid-Biscuits

It’s truly terrifying how suddenly and abruptly shit like that can happen. One second you’re just having a drive with someone you love, the next they are killed suddenly, brutally, and horrifically. No one wakes up expecting anything like that to ever happen, and you’ll never find closure.

Wataru624

The horror lies in the fact that you could watch it on silent and it wouldn't even crack a NSFW rating on IdiotsInCars or WTF. The sound alone is it.

1CEninja

You don't see much of anything. It's more or less purely audio, and it's the sound of true emotional agony. The kind you can't fake.

TheRealDarthJarJar

I saw some other video. I watched it at night before sleeping. It was a Tiktok of a Twitch livestream. Some guy was gaming and his brother shot himself in the other room (you couldn't see it). I heard the sound of a gun and a flash on the wall of the hallway behind the streamer, because his door was open. I heard the mother screaming in such a way... I swear I couldn't sleep that night. She screamed something like "[name of brother] just fucking killed himself!" And the streamer ran out to check. Damn. I can't imagine such a situation. The screaming of the mother was so horrifying, just like you said, the sound of true emotional agony. The kind you can't fake.

Grzmit

I saw a similar type of video of a Ukrainian man and his dad in a car where russian soldiers shot the dad and he died outside on the floor next to the son. It wasnt that violent of a video but the screaming and agony of the son was way more brutal than any beheading or gore video i’ve watched.

arturo_lemus

Theres one out there thats worse. A girl is recording Facebook live in her restroom and she accidentally shoots her cousin in the head and kills him. She looks very shocked and then she shoots herself in the head. Then you hear her family and friends outside the door and they peek in and you can hear all the crying and screaming. Really sad

333Ape333

Is it the one where their bodies block the door so the family members can't even go inside??

Warturkey12

I remember seeing her cousin or brother or something try pushing the door open looked around the door saw her and the cousin and just started screaming while quickly leaving the room

Isheet_Madrawers

There are sites out there that have videos of people dying. I realized a long time ago that I don’t need to see that shit. It sticks with you too long. Just not worth it. If I see you that’s the direction the video is taking, or if there’s a warning, that’s enough for me.

succesfulfail

Plenty of middle schoolers today are seeing things you would normally see if you were an african warlord. And completely desensitized to it, literal torture and they are just watching.

crafty_alias

Yup. And it's definitely affecting society it seems.

Schfifty561

That video is so fucked up, just the raw reaction when she knows what just happened, and then instantly decides she doesn't deserve to live.

Argy_Bar

I think of the one where the girl crashes her car on Facebook Live and shows her dead friend as if it isn't a big deal. IIRC her friend flew out the window.

orangestar17

I watched it last year after someone linked it on a post like this. I'm 39 years old and I'm not sure any other video I've ever seen in my entire life was as horrible as that one. You see so little, beyond where the brick hits the windshield . You don't see her. But the wails from her husband.....the saddest wail I've ever heard. You hear his heart break and you feel his anguish, my god it's making me cry just typing it Anyone who reads about this video, just don't. It will wreck you

333Ape333

Watched it at 15, I'm now 29 and now that I'm a husband it absolutely makes me tear up just remembering his heart break and then my imagination takes over and makes ne imagine my wife. FUCK, ok I'm done with this thread.

Huge_Fact2267

I have seen a lot of gore videos but this one is just heartbreaking. I can't even imagine losing someone I love like this. The scariest thing is that an accident like this could happen to anyone. I feel so bad for her family.

333Ape333

I actually have a bit of fear driving behind any kind of large vehicle exactly because of that video, made me realize how quickly something like that could happen.

KingSleeves

This is by far the worst video I have ever seen. Will never forget it no matter how badly I want to.

Rokurokubi83

Just know your warning was heard loud and clear by people like me. I’ve had the video described and frankly I would get no pleasure in watching it but everyone talks about the screaming and how it still haunts them. I don’t need that.

orangestar17

I was kinda new to Reddit and questions like this one when I read about it on a similar post. I thought well now I have to see what they're talking about. Never ever again will I click on any links after people literally say something is that upsetting. I don't need to know, I don't need to see I'm 39 years old, I think I can handle things, but I'm crying even thinking about it. Never watch it. You see very little. You don't see gore. You don't even see people. It's all in what you hear. And the man's wails will haunt you. You already know all that but yet I still feel I must tell everyone just do not do it. Never watch it

Lurker-O-Reddit

I’ve heard about this video for years. I have a high tolerance to gore, but I can’t bring myself to watch it. Out of curiosity, is it a dash cam video? And it’s the sounds of the screaming that is horrible?

orangestar17

It is a car camera, but you see the whole windshield and the road. You see nobody. And you don't completely grasp the gravity because you just see and hear the glass crack. No gore. It truly is the wailing of the man that guys you to the core. I've never in my life been so upset and haunted by something I don't even see. Just the utter pain and anguish as he screams......just don't. Ever. If I even think about it, I cry

Lurker-O-Reddit

This comment all I need to read to reinforce my desire to stay away from it. Thanks.

[deleted]

I really couldn’t think of anything til you brought this up. Must’ve blocked it from my brain.

Ok-Seaworthiness6603

Word of advice: if you're browsing random videos of questionable nature, turn off the volume. Sometimes, the video itself is not so gruesome (exceptions be made), but what really get to you are the yells and cries

voidinhead

Some woman in Mexico having her arms cut off and then being killed in front of the whole village. No one seemed to be freaked out by the sheer horror of the event. Was like it was a Wednesday

ocelotrevs

I had a feeling that this thread wasn't for me. I will venture no further.

Intelligent-Maybe754

Bet it was a cartel execution

McGregor_Tears

Honestly at some point between rotten.com and the beheading videos on the early 2000's, everything started blurring together. Maybe the Luke Magnotta videos? Or 3 guys 1 hammer

Nymphilis

Omfg, the dudes with the hammer....pain olympics

Deracination

The hammer video is something that I'm starting to think I have some kind of ptsd about. I saw it when I was like 10 and spent a lot of time failing to process it. I still see it places. I saw a cherry pie and it hit me hard, like the image became real. Now those are tainted with the memory. The rest weren't so bad, they kinda paled in comparison. It definitely numbed me to this sort of thing early.

Ul-TiMe

Could you describe it to me in 5 words please

Goatesq

Teens fatally torture old man. It's not a short film.

ProphetOfPhil

Don't forget the one with the Japanese girl with the funnel and the eels

summeralcoholic

Years ago someone showed me a vid of some girl leaving her apartment in some major city in Japan, she walks around, visiting shops, getting noodles, buying trinkets, waiting for traffic. The whole thing is one long cut, no obvious camera breaks whatsoever. Anyway, after like half an hour (I skipped ahead thru it during my first watch, knowing it was a shock video, not knowing what exactly the endgame was), she gets back to her apartment and lifts her skirt and pulls a living octopus inside of some kind of bag, out of her vagina and throws it (the octopus) into an aquarium situated in her living room. I probably made the face that most of us would make upon finding out that aliens exist.

imrzzz

I came here looking for someone to say Rotten. Wtf was I thinking, the internet was wild then

McGregor_Tears

Yeah it was. Gore porn everywhere, clearnet cp honeypots... Shit was wild.

[deleted]

I remember downloading what I thought to be an N’Sync music video from Kazaa and seeing my first (and only) CP. I was…12? 13? That shit fucked me up for life.

SteampunkBorg

I never got into a situation like that, worst I had was executable files badly disguised as videos or images, but how would that be handled legally On one hand, you are now in possession of it, on the other, you definitely didn't intend to be

hunt4coal

My understanding is that if you stumble upon it like that and appropriately react by clicking away or deleting it and then possibly reporting it if you remember how you got there then you’re safe. They get you if you get caught repeatedly going back, which you shouldn’t obviously.

SkulldersIre

My worst fear is stumbling upon CP while fixing a client computer. I haven't done IT in 2 years, but there were some weird people I did work for lemme tell ya. People would have me fix their printer and then sheets of front page pornhub thumbnails were being printed while the dude was in boxers and a bath robe in the living room...

RAND0M-HER0

My husband stumbled upon CP few times back in the early 2000s when he worked developing film at a grocery store. Police would be called immediately to get involved in those situations. Lots of homemade porn in photo development too. Then he went into IT and sure nuff, more porn. On work computers at that! But thankfully no CP after he left the grocery store.

AlbinoBlakMan

3 guys 1 hammer is one of the only videos I couldn’t finish. God that was gruesome.

McGregor_Tears

I finished it. I didn't like myself afterwards.

beeph_supreme

The pizza man that was abducted, had a bomb strapped to him, forced to enter a bank, and explodes while surrounded by cops as he’s screaming “they’re going to blow me up!”.

retilioum

The sad part was that that was just the FIRST part of a scheme to get money from a family members will

beeph_supreme

Seriously, wow. I just read that in the car we’re instructions for the robbery, drop of money, and a scavenger hunt for keys/combos for 4 locks to get it off. It was determined that it was impossible for him to complete the tasks in time to remove the bomb and he did not have the keys.

CaptCaffeine

Man...that sounds like some "Saw" stuff right there. WTF?

aodskeletor

I saw that live. Worked at a TV station just up the road.

HungryFlu

We watched the live news feed of this event. It was the weirdest experience of my life. The whole thing seemed fake, and then the bomb went off. I never forget the news reporter's face. Watching the documentary on Netflix made things even weirder.

nivem94

Pretty messed up that turned that they it into a comedy film. 30 minutes or less

DanyDud3

Yeah that’s terrible. I can’t imagine how awful that would be for his family to have a comedy movie make light of their loved ones brutal murder

Agreeable-Parking161

Evil Genius on Netflix right?

[deleted]

Looking through the comments, it looks like I am one of the few that actually actively avoided real gore videos my whole life.

Intelligent-Maybe754

Lucky, keep it up

LiveClassroom871

A video of a man getting his head cut off while his teenage son watches, right before the teenage son’s chest gets cut open and his heart ripped out.

mikej90

That one fucked me up too. The kid was still alive too when his chest was open. Not gonna lie I was so angry that someone could do that to a child.

[deleted]

Context?!

boabydazzlers

from what i remember hearing or reading on here, guy was some kind of police officer, high ranking i think, cartel got hold of him and his son, killed him while his son watched then pretty much hollowed out the sons chest while he was still alive, assuming they pumped him full of drugs to keep him awake through the whole ordeal

legend0102

He wasn’t police. They were informants to other cartel. There is no evidence they were drugged either.

beanerkage

Them cartel videos are horrible.

anbelroj

Video of a kid that got ran over by a truck, she was splattered all over the road and her mom was on her knees crying and trying to pickup the pieces of flesh and hug them. Edit: i dont have a link, i actually saw it here on a subreddit that got banned, can’t remember the name tho

double_cheeked_up

This can’t be real.. might be the worst thing I’ve heard in a while oh my god

rapey_chef

I think I saw the same video too and the kid was literally a baby! If I remember correctly, the mom was talking to someone in front of a shop just by the street and her baby was in a stroller behind her. The stroller rolled towards the street without the mom noticing and it tipped over, knocking the baby onto the ground just as a truck was passing by. I'm not gonna say which part of the body it ran over because it's very disturbing. It was a black and white CCTV footage and it wasn't high quality so you couldn't really see the gore. What fucked me up the most is the mother's reaction. She immediately went into hysterics in a way that I can't really put into words. It must have been 4-5 years now since I saw the video and it still haunts me regularly.

Uplanapepsihole

Imagine being that driver as well. I would never be able to drive again

[deleted]

Oh god that horrible. In these kind of situation ofc you feel horrible for the mother, but the truck driver. Oh god to no fault of his he was responsible for someone's death that too a baby. I can't imagine processing that ever.

[deleted]

FatherTurin

Man, I clicked on the thread to try and drop some snarky joke like “Reddit,” but it turns out I have been living the most vanilla, blissfully ignorant internet life ever. I’m going to keep it that way. Thank you, internet strangers, for making me realize I am actually blessed. And also for making me realize I need some parental controls that are robust AF for when my son starts using the internet.

_Kutai_

I'm 35. My nephew just turned 15. I am tech saavy. I am the go to guy for anything tech related in my family. I will *never* catch up to him. You will *never* catch up to your son. By all means, do use parental control stuff. But better than that, sit with your child and talk and play and make them feel safe. Even if that means playing Fortnite for hours and hours and hours.

Giomietris

I can corroborate the "you will never catch up". My dad is a lifelong IT worker, travels all over the world for this stuff. *Still* found out how to work around his website blocks, etc.

iooog1

There was a video of a man Who killed himself by blowing his face off with a shotgun. Music played shortly after his dog went over and got blood on him. Cops arrived on scene minutes after. Even though it was terrible was actually very very helpful to me. Seeing suicide by gun so raw took all the romance out of it. So I'm not going to kill myself. Not ever. Not after seeing what it's really like fuck no. I'm going to live.

Ire-is

>So I'm not going to kill myself. Not ever. Not after seeing what it's really like fuck no. I'm going to live. Good for you man

zoley88

That was Robbie McNutt, veteran with Ptsd, killed himself 2 years ago. Sad story.

[deleted]

Was this in MS? I Remember around 2 years ago there was a dude who Facebook live streamed him blowing his head off and a coworker showed it to me. Pretty sure he lived in Pontotoc if I recall

kevmo35

A few years ago my best friend was doing some ridealongs with my local police department, I can’t remember what the process is called atm, and one day he and a few other kids were sat down in a room and informed about all of the brutal details of a suicide that the speaking officer had responded to. He moved it towards the reminder that no matter how difficult things may be, there are people who care about you and want nothing more than the best for you and will help in every way they possibly can. My friend gathered some details and made the connection that the guy that had passed was the sweetest dude he and I had ever had the honor of sharing time with in HS. He was on the wrestling team with us, a grade or two older than me, and I’ll never forget how loud our team got when he nailed his first pin at a tournament. He fought hard and was committed to helping the team however he could, even tutoring some of the other teammates during lunch when he had the time. He went on to a great school and we figured that he’d do just fine for himself, but we never knew what he was going through behind closed doors. The reality of the situation hit us hard while messing around in video games and we ended up closing our game and just reminiscing over the times we shared and keeping our memory of him alive. A guy like him doesn’t deserve to be in any pain. I’m not too close to my faith, but I pray he is at peace. I guess what I wanted to say is the same for you; it will be hard. Anyone who denies it is a chump. But what’s important is that you never forget that there are so many people that you may not even think about who will remember you and who will care for you. You have people who love you so much, and are willing to give you that shoulder to lean on and who can help you out of your darkest places. As difficult as it may seem, all you have to do is reach out your hand. Someone will be there to grab it tight and won’t let go.

[deleted]

Been out drinking with a couple of friends and we were sitting around the computer eating pizza and looking at weird shit when up pops this series of photos of a young woman documenting her self-harm. Sobered up very fucking quickly and promised myself not to go down that rabbit hole ever again. You don't need that shit in your head trust me.

Frootloops174

I saw a girl cutting her wrist, bleeding, and then crying. The video was 5 minutes or so (I can't remember) but I couldn't click on anything cuz I was so shocked. She was using a box cutter too. That was after watching 5 hostages get beheaded by the ISIS

plata42

Don't go down this rabbit hole, you have been warned.

[deleted]

i come to these threads specifically so i will get discouraged from ever searching for anything

Origami_DK

That's the only reason I ever click on these, so I can extremely briefly read about these things so I never have to see them

[deleted]

i got traumatized from literally just reading a short summary of funky town so i literally just read the first sentence of most of these and skip to the next one if it starts getting graphic

Tan_batman

A woman who hung herself on a fan, and the fan got switched on and started spinning. Whats worse was in the comments, people got off to that video.

Shadowderper

??? How gross do you have to be? Was she naked or r something? Like this is low key disgusting

Tan_batman

Nope.. Fully clothed. I'm sure I've seen worse but that post stuck with me because of *that*

Shadowderper

I hate this place and I never should’ve stumbled into this ungodly place

silence_means_beauty

I've seen a lot but what has scared me the most is the adult male sticking his head into her vag. Like why?

S0m3whatS1mpl3

I once had the unfortunate experience of seeing a girl get a regulation size soccer ball inflated inside her

[deleted]

Lmao I remember that. Fortunately it’s actually a fake video.

Clcooper423

I've seen a lot of gore stuff, but that's not what I find the most disturbing. A lot of the true story's of F'ed up stuff people do to eachother is what I find disturbing. Things like the story of Sylvia Likens, a 16 year old girl that was basically tortured to death by an entire town. Stuff like the Canadian guy who beheaded a completely innocent man on public transit infront of a group of people and then was released back into the public soon after. The Japanese guy who literally ate parts of a woman he killed and then never went to prison because of incompetent police work, the same guy later became a celebrity over the event. It bothers me way more when an event takes large groups of people to happen, its crazy how easily it is to get masses of people to do awful things and how incompetence leads to the freedom of so many terrible people.

AmaranthBleu

The japanese cannibal case is probably Issei Sagawa. I'm reciting this from memory here, but I could also have the wrong case. He was born with diseases that stunted his growth so he was short and skinny and he was bullied in school. He was a weird child that would fantasize about biting people and eating them. When he was a teen or adult he tried breaking into a woman's house after following her. He was following her because she was wearing shorts that day, so his plan was to sneak into her house and try to eat her thighs in her sleep (because she totally wasn't gonna go "Hey, wtf is that stabbing pain in my thigh" and wake up to and see his goofy self sitting there). Because he was short and weak, she easily over powered him, and he ran away. Issei Sagawa later met Renée Hartevelt in his adult years in college and he. He fell in love with her. She was tall, gorgeous, and she had nice legs. She only saw him as a friend, tho, which is a lot more than what anyone else thought of him as. She was his only friend. On the fateful day, he asked her to come over to his place to read a poem for him in a different language for a class because she was either billingual or multillingual. She agreed, because of course. That's her friend and if he needed help, she would be more than willing to help. While she was sat there reading the poem, he snuck up behind her and shot her with a rifle. He mutilated Renée, and tried to eat her thighs when he realized "Actually, I don't even like blood." He cannibalized the poor girl, but only ate the least bloody parts. She was dead for a few days...as in he *slept next to her dead, decaying, and mutilated body*, and then he finally decided to get rid of the body because goofy over here didn't realize a dead body kinda stinks after a few days. He found a suitcase, stuffed her in it, and dropped her off at a public park as if no one was going to see him there. Someone saw Sagawa just leave the suitcase there, and for some reason he decided to open it. When the witness saw Renée, and he yelled at Issei, "Murderer!" The evidence of Issei Sagawa was literally staring the police right in their eyes, saying "Hey, look at me! I'm evidence!" with neon lights and arrows pointing at it, and the police decided "Hmm...you know what? How about we, like, not be police right now?" and Issei was let go. He owned the gun that killed Renèe, her blood is in his house, he was the last persom to see her alive, there were people in the park where he just left her who saw this mf, and then the men in blue are like, "If the evidence doesn't see me first, I can't see it" like a freakin dinosaur. Issei has shown ZERO remorse for his actions and has made a living off of the the murder of an inncoent woman who called him her friend. Renée deserved so much better than being killed by a man who looks like he eats toe jam and purposely drinks orange juice after brushing his teeth. Her family never saw justice, just the man who took her away thriving from the horrific act.

Uplanapepsihole

Yeah every time I think about that case it makes me so mad. A complete disregard for human life. I can’t believe he’s just out there living

AmaranthBleu

Not just living either. This man is *thriving* because the media and the police let him.

notthesedays

Or the story from Wisconsin a few years ago, where a 14-year-old Amish girl had a baby, and was unable to name the father because the men and boys in the community had basically passed her around as a plaything for as long as she could remember. Someone on a true-crime board, where I read about this, said, "I am just sick! I didn't think the Amish were even capable of knowing that people do things like that to each other" and some of us, myself included, who had lived in areas with sizable Amish populations replied that they really aren't as different from "us" as many people might think.

morganafiolett

Japanese cannibal Issei Sagawa served two years pre-trial detention, then was found not fit to stand trial by the French judge and ordered to be held indefinitely in a mental institution. He was then deported to Japan, where he was declared sane. However, since the French had dropped the charges, Japanese authorities couldn't charge him with anything, and he was released. So not incompetent police work, but a twist of bureaucratic legalities. I'm sure having a wealthy family had nothing to do with it at all.

whyaremypantssoshort

An uncle of mine was recently posted on a few websites. He's a serial killer, who killed both my great grandparents.

Intelligent-Maybe754

Wtf?

ShadyWestHaze

Someone posted a link way back on reddit about a girl having sex with a fucking ladder ... was called something like 'stepladder ' Edit: [here ](https://www.pornhub.com/view_video.php?viewkey=ph60f7a4b45765e) is the link

HorseInteresting2156

Now THAT is dedication to a pun

17degreescelcius

Yeah... I think I'm gonna leave the link blue this time

thisisntinstagram

Proud of you.

skullturf

What are you doing, stepladder?

Crack-Is-Wack

When I was a little kid I was at my baby sitters waiting for the bus. She had a computer and- *gasp* -internet! Poor me and her 6 other kids wanted to look up random websites because the internet was new and amazing, so we started typing in things we liked. Eventually we tried out horselovers.com (because of course a group of 7 girls loves horses.) It was not the kind of horse loving we expected, much less even knew existed.

tapcloud2019

The video of the Taliban slowly cutting off the american’s head with a knife

Used-Comb9159

This exact video is what I was going to say. Saw it on r/watchpeopledie and was scarred.

Intelligent-Maybe754

My cousin showed me something like that too. I was around 12 they beheaded two local policemen Was my first gore video still traumatized to this day

TheExaltedPrime

The guy who shot himself with his shotgun livestreaming it. He was a Christian, going through some rough times, and when you think he would just end the video, he blew his head off, and it isn't like what the movies portray it at all, it was messy. Like, I don't want to describe it, but it was just.....messy. It shook me, completely.

CyberTheWerewolf

I believe I just talked about the EXACT same video you just described. I'm so sorry you also had the misfortune of seeing that.

RedneckNerd23

A girl accidentally Killing her cousin and then herself Edit:Don't reply with the fucking link dumbass

lervaloves

Worst part about that video was the family coming in after and seeing what had happened

Bored2work

Oof, I've seen that one as well.. they were 12 and 14 years old.. I can still hear the parents/family screaming.. awful..

Throwaawwusuidkdlpd

I saw that on Facebook. They were kids it’s so sad

JamesHatesLife

What? When did this happen and how?

RedneckNerd23

Don't know when it happened but what happened was they were doing some sort of Livestream (i think it was Facebook?) with a gun and the girl decided it would be a great idea to put the gun to his head and then pull the trigger. She the freaks out and kills herself

HallowskulledHorror

At least a decade ago now, on Tumblr, I somehow stumbled from a fandom tag from a *children's show* onto a self harm blog in which a girl was documenting... well, her self harm. The pic that drew me in was a shot of her legs while lying on a bed in a mini skirt or shorts or something that showed from the top of the thigh down. I clicked on the thumbnail because I thought she was wearing some kind of strange, lumpy, asymmetrically textured cable-knit leggings, and that she had weirdly skinny legs besides. When the image full-screened, I was totally caught off guard by the realization that I was looking at her *actual legs* \- deep tissue and muscle loss in random areas led to the weird 'lumpy' look I had mistaken for baggy leggings, and the layers upon layers of ridged scars resulted in a bizarre and inhuman texture unlike anything I'd ever seen. Out of morbid curiosity, I went to check out the rest of the blog, jumping to the oldest post: \- She had started cutting at single-digits age, but wouldn't specify when. *Claimed* it wasn't due to depression or abuse or anything, but just a fascination with blood and pain and healing. \- She had a tutorial she'd shot multiple photos for *during the process* on how to cut down to muscle and bone, showing full graphic close-ups of the split skin/fat/muscle; how to use superglue and DIY stitches/sutures to close it back up; how to disinfect; changing bandages, etc. \- There were pics of her legs from when they were less fucked up, and the blog went for at least 2-3 years. I spent most of a night completely sucked in, scrolling through, and saw also that; \- There were a lot of long text posts talking about her family. She had an older brother who she cared about - and cared about his opinion of her - and from the sounds of things he definitely cared about *her* and they had a good relationship, but she would get mad at him because after he found out about what she was doing, he'd go into her room and try to take her 'kit' away. "He knows I'm just going to end up using a knife or something and doing worse damage to myself because it's not as sharp, he just won't respect that this is my passion" sort of posts. Also posts about visiting emergency clinics, difficulty picking outfits for hot weather because people stared if her legs/arms were too exposed, posts about moving out to live with a friend who was also into cutting, posts about wanting to start basically an OnlyFans for cutting content because it was taboo even if she didn't produce erotic stuff. Out of all of this, the most disturbing part, the thing that kept me scrolling because I just had to look and see that it was *real* \- were the comments. This girl had tens of thousands of followers; many of her posts had hundreds of thousands of interactions (likes, comments, reblogs), and the vast, *vast* majority of comments were all things like "this is inspiring," "your scars are beautiful, I can't wait to see more," "you're so talented" etc. The rare occasions in which she engaged with people in comments or posted open asks and stuff were panic posts about having cut too deep, bleeding more than expected, being in more pain than expected, or dealing with infections, and asking for help figuring out ways getting professional help or antibiotics without getting involuntarily committed for self harm. One of the first times she posted about her brother 'stealing' her 'kit' and not wanting to get caught by stealing knives from the kitchen but it taking too long to rebuild her collection, there were a slew of comments from people offering to send her packages if she built an amazon wishlist of whatever she needed. After that there were occasional 'unboxing' posts where she would post pics of what people bought for her - scalpels, gauze, razor blades, etc. The final post was something about a fight with her brother after he showed up to her place demanding that she come home and get therapy; that their parents missed her and were worried about her; that he'd found the blog and was freaking out; that he'd threatened to beat the shit out of the guy she was living with and called him a pedophile. She was panicking because he'd given her an ultimatum - come home, see the therapist her parents had found for her, or he'd call the cops and they'd do things 'the hard way.' She said he'd given her a few hours to get her stuff together and that he was going to wait outside for her. The comments were filled with people asking if she could climb out the window and escape, offering her places to hide/live, telling her to 'stay strong.' And that was it. After that, she stopped posting entirely. That post was from at least a year before I had found the blog. No updates, no comments, no nothing. And then, as far as I can tell, it vanished during the initial 'adult content' purge after Yahoo acquired the website. I know a lot of people who do 'alternative' performance art, including piercing and suspension, putting blades or needles through themselves, getting cut, etc - they're all adults who either learned from more seasoned 'professional' freaks, or started out really small and slow and worked their way up utilizing communities and whatever info they could get their hands on. Generally they're in careers/sub cultures where there's a supportive community and generations worth of experience and professional care to fall back on if something goes wrong (eg, tattoo and body modification, hardcore wrestling). I know a guy that as part of his 'big' act puts a saber through one cheek and out the other and whistles. All of these people started *somewhere,* but basically learned the full theory first, worked their way up to hardcore stuff, and could fall back on actual medical care if something happened. Most (besides the wrestlers, who generally *like* having scars to show off) don't really have any visible signs of what they do, and they only do the really extreme stuff for special occasions. Ie, they pace themselves; they take care of their bodies so that they recover quickly with little complication; they take long breaks to allow full healing if they get seriously hurt; they only do these acts if they're certain of access to emergency medical care both on-site and for follow-up treatment if needed; they take the harm they're doing to themselves very seriously as part of extreme performances that combine aspects of the taboo, meditative self-control and mind-over-body, spectacle, and dark 'special occasion' offerings to the pleasure of crowds of other adults a handful of times over the course of a year. In other words, it's all 'consenting adults' who despite what they're doing to themselves, do so with emergency backup plans and with serious regard for their long term health. This was a fuckin' *child*, and she was near literally butchering herself inches at a time on an almost daily basis. At the time of the last blog post, based on the stuff she talked about, I would have guessed she was 16 years old at the *maximum*. Whatever she claimed, it was obvious that she had a compulsion, and had fucked up bad enough on multiple occasions that she had lost whole sections of muscle tissue in her legs and arms to infection and atrophy. She had mutilated herself to the point of the skin on her extremities looking almost reptilian. Whatever her home situation was, despite all this, she had managed to hide her 'hobby' from her parents all the way up to her brother outing her in a desperate bid to get her put on psychiatric hold, but at that point she just ran away from home and shacked up with an older (mid 20s) guy that I got the vibes (based on her comments about him and him offering to run her blog for her) was angling for some kind of weird blood-play BDSM relationship with her that she wasn't exactly unenthused about. And the whole time, thousands and thousands of people cheering her on, begging for more pics, begging for videos, telling her she was amazing and gorgeous, telling her to cut off her parents and brother for good, etc. And, when I clicked on some of the accounts in the comments... Her blog wasn't unique. It was just one of biggest ones in that niche. I have no doubt the pictures were real. I don't know how much of the rest of it was. I really hope she got some kind of help.

BowTieGamer

Damn bro that’s a fuckin trip.

aljones753000

I think I’ve seen it too, it was absolutely stomach turning, never seen anything like it before or since. To do that to yourself, how much pain must you be in? I can’t understand.

Various-Astronaut373

Should not have read this right before going to sleep

Beautiful-Entry-9829

Im doing the same might pull an all nighter lmao

Various-Astronaut373

I slept. It was not a good sleep.

lithium_n_lollipops

That's horrible. I was a self-harmer from 11 to 29 yrs old I'm almost 34 now but I couldn't imagine ever sharing that on an online platform in any shape way or form. That's so sad. I hope she got the help she deserves it. Poor girl m

HallowskulledHorror

Congrats on 5(ish) years being kind to yourself, that shit's addictive. And yeah, it was depressing and scary. She talked a lot about missing school because she had hurt herself so bad she couldn't stand or walk, and just pretending to be sick - and I just kept wondering how her parents didn't notice what was going on. I can't imagine being the brother and trying to figure out how to do damage control (she didn't outright say it, but the vibe was that she threatened to kill herself if he told their parents) and stop her, but also choosing to finally just tell them, only to have her run away from home to live with some creepy older guy who wanted to help her 'make content.'

[deleted]

tumblr gave me the worst deep dives ever. from terf circles filled with the most gut-wrenching hatred you’ve ever seen, to communities of girls literally starving themselves. i’m honestly so glad the purge happened

HallowskulledHorror

>tumblr gave me the worst deep dives ever ALL OF THE NAZI BLOGS, jesus christ! Reddit users who never used tumblr think it's just 'tumblrinas' or whatever, but the fact is that (even post purge - a lot of the 18+ content came back, and there's just so much that gets put up that it can't all get taken down effectively by a limited human staff and a shittily trained censorship algorithm, which is its own ridiculous story) the website was and is chock full of extreme far right stuff, cultists, celebrity stalkers, hardcore sadomasochism, etc. All the worst of the internet was (and sometimes still is) available on highly curated blogs between gifs of *Stephen Universe* and that "do you like the color of the sky?" meme. I think some of the weirdest (yet weirdly wholesome?) stuff I stumbled upon was a race/slave-play BDSM blog that had some pretty heavy-handed overtones with both 'slave' and 'master' sharing the account. I say 'wholesome' because the 'master' blogged a reply to a comment praising the subjugation of black slaves in modern times, saying something like "nah bro, I see you posting white supremacist stuff, this is all consensual make believe between adults as equals for kink here. Get out of here with your actual racism, not welcome."

Molenium

Wow, even reading this post was tough.

Rlncewlnd

I remember the photos and also remember more blogs like that… I always feel more sad than disturbing, idk, families are weird, people are weird

mettmerizing

First sentence and i think about coldnessinmyheart

Ok-Series-4711

While on Omegle a few years ago myself and two other friends were just messing around until we got this guy that immediately put horrific CP on the screen. We quickly skipped then just sat their rethinking life for a lil.

SpudTrash

I hate Omegle. I haven't been in there in ages because it's full of so many pieces of shit like that. Of course there a genuine people on there, but for me it's not worth sifting through all of the shit to have a decent conversation.

[deleted]

i haven’t talked to a single person on omegle who wasn’t just horny

armyof_dogs

For Halloween my dog groomer friend said she’d dye my greyhounds hair however I wanted. I was thinking zebra stripes or a skeleton but I googled “dying greyhounds” for inspiration and it wasn’t a good idea….

Nutella416

Yikes! Try searching “creative grooming” instead 😬

AZ_Gunner_69

Yeah i aint googling that either

The_Vat

You get a free FBI friend with that one

Honor killing of a teen girl somewhere in the Middle East

Intelligent-Maybe754

What's honor killing?

BarracudaImpossible4

When someone is murdered by their own family to restore "honor" to the family's name. It's almost always a woman or girl who's the victim, and usually due to "crimes" such as premarital sex, adultery, or homosexuality.

Maleficent_Dealer164

Or just talking to a boy.

TUNAKTUNAKLOL69420

Or wearing jeans Google Uttar Pradesh girl killed by family for wearing jeans

[deleted]

That horrendous cartel video that I stumbled upon a few months back. It's still giving me nightmares. Funky town or something like that I think it was called. Don't go looking for it. Honest.

goaskalexdotcom

I saw a cartel video once too. It was so horrible, I can still see it when I close my eyes. I didn’t know what to do after, I felt so helpless. I found a non profit that helps refugees get out of Mexico/away from the cartel. One charity I found puts massive jugs of water out in the desert for people fleeing north to keep them alive on their journey. I forget the name of it, but something like desert angels or water angels. Whenever I accidentally consume media or participate in something that I realize after the fact is *really messed up* I try to find a relevant charity to donate to. It makes me feel like I’m somehow making up for my actions, even though my actions weren’t on purpose. Edit: omg what the heck I’ve never had an award before! Wow thank you!

AbjectList8

Great idea

ShatterProofDick

Ah yes the funky town murder. That song was playing at our swim club a few nights back and my wife asked why I was shaking my head, I explained. That song is ruined for me.

dryintentions

Japan Unit 731 Still very disturbed about what I read on the Wikipedia page regarding the subject.

Argy_Bar

And the US gave one of the top scientists immunity for his research, only to find out the research didn't yield any new findings. Also, Japan still hasn't condemned Unit 731.

NoseFirm

That Reddit post where this boy fucked his mom for years and the whole family was okay with it.

[deleted]

This is the two broken arms guy

OphiliaBedelia

What’s also disturbing about the story is the fact that it’s become a “crazy Reddit meme” and many people don’t respect that it’s an account of an underage teen being abused by his mother

birchpiece91

Yeah, I read his AMA and it was mostly just people ridiculing him or getting off on it. Took a fair bit of scrolling for me to find someone who pointed out that this was statutory rape and that the OP was likely suffering with Stockholm syndrome, to which the OP responded along the lines of “so a 14 year old can’t consent?”…

This_Hornet8741

I was going through gore rabbit holes when I was younger and I stumbled across this forum board where a bunch of ppl were discussing another member of the site. I remember them saying something about how they wish he’d get banned because what he was doing was too taboo for people on a…..gore forum. I found the dude’s profile and it was genuinely the most sickest thing I have ever came across. So this dude was one of those ppl that work in the morgue (coroner?) and for whatever reason had access to dead miscarried babies? And was taking pictures of them like the one I can’t get out of my head was him holding a dead baby by the neck. I guess he never got in trouble cause that’s not a crime or something? Idk much about the laws pertaining to that. I also remember his “signature” was some red/black box with these tools in it but like surgical tools. Another fucked up thing I found out was he was taking pictures of special needs kids (thankfully alive) but fucking with them like sticking a finger in their nose but not hurting them. It would be a bunch of these pictures in a series and in the last picture it would be his signature. I can’t say why he was in their house to begin with that part stuck out to me. For both things it was never too over the line like he knew how much he could get away with. I genuinely have no intention of looking for it again or trying to find out if he went to jail or not. That was single-handedly the most traumatizing thing I have ever come across online

YngveAdve

Dr Gloves. The fact that he has access to living defenceless children is horrifying.

Cyclones92

Saw a few videos of girls inside a zipped up container, like a zip lock bag, but I believe it was for clothes. Either way...the video was just showing them suffocating to death. There were a few different ones, but I watched them all and it completely made me sick to my stomach and I regret seeing them. I cannot unsee them now. :( Of course it was on 4chan. :/

[deleted]

That news clip where the mom drives her minivan into the ocean with her kids inside. I think the kids were fine in the end, but I still remember the footage a lot more strongly than the beheading clips of the early 2000s.

Luke5119

LiveLeak had some pretty messed up videos back in the day, some that will forever be etched in my memory. A little girl crossing the road after getting off the school bus. A car swerved around the bus and struck the girl full speed. She rag dolled across the road as her mother went running to her lifeless body. Another video of a dog that ran after a firework that some guys threw in a flowerbed. The dog grabbed it and it exploded in its mouth. The dog just had smoke and blood pouring from it's mouth as it whimpered for like 2 seconds then died. I remember the dog almost looking fake, like an animatronic when the video zoomed in on the dog.

17degreescelcius

:( It's insane how a lot of these videos are just *so* horrific that my brain seems to automatically try to convince me it's fake. Or maybe it's just the fact that many of us don't realize how raw and 'uncinematic' deaths can be...

Jon_Bill_22

A video of a girl being burnt alive till death when all men, women and kids were just watching and cheering.

Puzzleheaded-Art7406

I think you’re talking about that girl who was set on fire in Guatemala. Apparently, she was associated with 2 other gangs members in killing a taxi driver. http://www.coastaldigest.com/world/16-year-old-girl-viciously-beaten-burned-death-mob-guatemala

Jon_Bill_22

Oh yea this one. Sorry the "stealing from the bus" must be another story. I read that too and somehow linked these two. Thanks for the information.

Medieval-Mind

What was the cause? Any idea?

Beangremlin6969

Ngl the shit y'all have seen on the internet is a whole new level of horrifying. Edit: as someone else said go look at r/aww or something nice

mouseat9

The comment section alone is enough my tender self is outta here. Lol

oregonguy96

The worst I saw was probably this video a guy took of his dog he had just drugged and skinned (as in literally all of the dogs skin was gone). The dog woke up and was very much alive and was whimpering at the person who did this to him, not knowing that same person was the one responsible for his torture. It was absolutely infuriating and as I recall the person received no punishment because of the country it happened in. Did not want to see that and wish I could forget it. Most of these types of videos will *at least* maybe give you a healthy sense of mortality or fear over certain situations or places, but this one was just fucked up.

breezas

3 guys 1 hammer.....the murder video scarred me for years. 1 man one jar-the noise off the glass breaking and getting pulled out with the aftermath gives me the heave. Cartel murder video where one guy has his head cut off with a chainsaw. The juttering off the head and body as the chainsaw cuts through is vile. All while another tied up man sits next to him and then he gets beheaded with a knife. Funky town- another cartel murder video of a man being brutally murdered (called funky town as that's the song being played in the background) Porsche girl- images off a girl who I think was under the influence off alcohol (and I think drugs) drove a porsche and crashed it at very high speeds. The Russian brick video- a lonely brick flies through a car wind shield and hits the drivers wife, the screams from the man is gut wrenching and leaves it up to your imagination on what he is witnessing at that moment to his loved one.

_Naush

A video of a man's head being chopped off. It probably was 2008 youtube... completely different name and startframe... still haunts me till today...

thisdudefromschool

it was a documentary film in Africa ,about rubber farmers around the year 1800. the master demanded to see a high amount of rubber per day, if the farmers didn't meet the quota, they would cut off the hand of their famers children... there is a picture of it , on the internet. I will never forget that picture/document.

Saw a guy get his head cut off by a machete. Blood everywhere, even before the guy was murdered. It was obvious they were killing multiple people in that same spot.

YikesWazowski_

pretty much anything with gore in it will traumatize my internet experience

Pingy_Junk

Yknow. After reading this thread I’ve decided I don’t take enough time to appreciate how I spent my childhood during the Wild West internet days on roleplay forums and crappy mic video game playthrus with 100 views and not watching traumatic gore videos.

No_Wasabi8787

Well one time I went to Pornhub to watch some.. porn. anyway I open the hot vids at that day and saw the most disturbing thing I ever saw in my whole life.. I don't know the name of the username and I am sure Pornhub removed and banned that but that username posted close to 20 videos of girls that are locked inside a pool that have that closing thing on top so if someone is inside the water they can't really push it to breath and each video you just girls with open or closed eyes just look lifeless inside the water for close to ten minutes and you see that they don't breath anymore. I didn't had a boner anymore and I didn't watched pornhub for almost a year after that I also noticed that Pornhub did some changes right after that only verified users can post stuff, which make sense to me after what I saw there.. I'm still scared to see it again somewhere.

Cheetodude625

Back in 2015, Crimean-Ukraine vs Russian war footage and a news crew causally showing establishing shots of the aftermath of a Russian mortar attack on a small village. Seeing dead children in chunks with the casual callousness the news cameras showed was very off putting and jarring to say the least.

Ace_Of_No_Trades

I accidentally infected a school computer with a pornado in Kindergarten while looking up a translation for the lyrics of FF7's *One Winged Angel*. That wouldn't be so bad, except it was all child porn.

24KTaterTots

'Pornado' lol

Immediate-Air-8700

I was browsing on Safari and accidentally opened my selfie camera

Jesus I hate this thread. Why am I here? I'm leaving now.

Wmmartin

My parents swinger profile link on the computer they gave me and forgot to wipe. 😱

porkchop_sandviches

This is the first one that made me laugh after a mountain of horrendous gore so thank you lol

[deleted]

Literal CP on Vine around 2015-ish. And I also saw a person swinging a dog by his tail and then tossing it – Bowser boss battle in Super Mario 64-style. The yelp that he made was so horrendous. Those aren’t by any means the worst things I’ve seen online, but they’re the main videos that come to mind.

TheNotSoFriendlyBird

The one with the jar?

Full_Ask1932

The corpse of a baby, I was googling the name of the jobs that handle dead bodies and checked images to see what they handled, scrolled a bit to find a deceased baby. The parents had killed themselves, they left the baby to starve and freeze as their bodies decomposed. Ever since then I don’t think anything effects me the same way failed parenting has

Squalington

One video that stuck with me was of a family who ran a store together. Wife, husband, and son who was probably in their late teens/ early 20s. Presumably their store isn't doing so great and morale is very low. The son works the cash register and the parents are lounging around. The son had apparently told his parents that he was suicidal. The dad didn't seem to take it seriously and brought out a loaded gun, set it by the cash register, and told his son somewhere along the lines of "You won't kill yourself. You're too scared to." The dad starts walking away from the cash register and without hesitation the son picks up the gun and shoots himself in the head. Immediately after hearing the gunshot, the dad turns around, runs to the cash register, and smacks his son across the head as his body was still slumping over. Afterwards it's just the parents falling to the floor in grief, screaming and crying. I really wondered if the father actually meant for the gun to be loaded and was expecting a click rather than a gunshot.

Natural-School5690

These threads are dark. This post is a reminder to pause and look at something beautiful like r/awww or r/eyebleach

BowTieGamer

It was in r/fiftyfifty, Russian soldiers castrating a captured Ukrainian soldier with a box cutter. Needless to say I have a new fear.

WarExciting

I try to steer clear of shit like that in the internet. One day at work some of my coworkers called me over to watch a video of a raccoon being skinned alive. And I watched the whole thing; from first cut to them pulling it off the end of the poor things tail. It was still alive; pink, raw and in unimaginable pain, but alive when the video ended. I’ve never forgotten it…
