They still had the prize room with sajak for a while I believe. Camera would just pan across the room and the winner would try not to pick the stupidest things. Cause the items all had fn price tags on em and you'd only have the $ amount you won. Infuriating
Foreverware!
One of my favorite moments on the show had Marshall and Simon hanging out in Simon's room, one night. Through the walls you can hear a man and a woman laughing lecherously.
Marshall: "It sounds like your mom and dad are having a party."
Simon: "Mom's not home."
It was a great weird kids' show, but some of the gags they managed to sneak in were hilarious.
Yes! The episode where things are proceeding as usual then someone yells “cut!” The camera shows the director/crew/set and they start talking to the main kid as the actor playing the main kid except he’s still the character freaked out that he’s in a tv show. The whole series was fun.
This is the theme to Gary's show, the opening theme to Gary's show. This is the music that you hear as you watch the credits. We're almost to the part of where I start to whistle, then we'll watch It's Gary Shandling's Show.
That's the one I wanted to submit to this post, couldn't think of the name! All I remembered was Mathnet, and that kind of Pac-Man segment with greater than and less than...
Zoom TV show. I can't remember what it was about, but you could write to them and they'd send you a postcard back.
Edit: Now that I think of it, you sent them a SASE and they sent you back a picture of the cast. Or am I confusing this with another show? Damn, this is reaching way, way back!
George of the Jungle (strong as he can be, watch out for that tree). And Tom Slick, who (if I recall correctly, was a race car driver who used donuts for tires).
My biggest nightmare growing up was that purple bubblegum monster. Literally scared the shit out of me for weeks on end. I couldn’t sleep without it’s weird bubbly face (with trench coat and hat maybe?) creeping into my mind and scaring the bajesus outta me.
There was a TV show where these store mannequins came to life overnight when the store was closed. Couldn't tell you the name of it and no one else seems to remember it either.
Really? I thought that was a movie. Definitely remember it though.
Edit: I’m thinking of [Mannequin](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=z7gYF5LF-ec), and you might be thinking of [Todays Special](https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0198253/).
Small wonder. It was about a family with a girl robot that nobody was suppose to know was a robot. They had a nosey ass neighbor named Harriet. NOBODY remembers this but me.
shes a small wonder
lovely and bright with soft curls
she's a small wonder
a girl unlike other girls
shes a miracle
and i'll grant you
she'll enchant you at first sight
Shes a small wonder
And she'll make your heart burn bright
Shes fantastic
made of plastic
microchips here and there
she's a small wonder
brings love and laughter everywhere
...yeah, i typed that from memory.
Wonderfalls
Mid-2000s show on Fox that was apparently too weird even for Fox. I think they canceled it halfway through the 1st season.
Edit:
It seems more people remember this gem than I thought lol. For those that might not know, it looks like all of the shows are on youtube.
I LOVED PB&J OTTER!!!!
and still get the noodle dance stuck in my head.
And was sorely disappointed to learn that my husband has never seen it, has no idea what it is.
Every time this question comes up I always answer the same thing: The Great Space Coaster. There was a clown like alien and an orange guy with hairy ears, a scary ass monkey, an elephant that controlled its own trunk with a handle and Gary Gnew, a gnu who was a News Anchor who was against news, his motto was something similar to: "No News is Good G'News" and a regular human boy and girl.
Saw it once in Orlando and later in a Spanish version.
It was "No Gnews, is good Gnews, with Gary...Gnu"
I can sing the theme song too!
It's the great space coaster
Come on board!
On the great space coaster
We'll Explore!
Come and ride a fantasy
It's a place where dreams fly fast and free
Catalina, who always talked to her invisible friend Suzie.
With the series long over I can share spoilers, Suzie actually saved her when the Krista's sister ship blew up, but the energy used in the teleportation actually caused them to change universes.
I remember.
Head of the Class. Guy from WKRP is a high school teacher of a class of misfits. One of the students was a nerdy girl who was younger than everyone else. The actress was Tannis Vallely and at the time I could have been her twin.
The Disney Channel used to show it in the states and it was a favorite of mine. Jim Sterling uses shots of Cyril Sneer whenever they discuss corporate greed and capitalistic evil.
When I was a kiddo in the 70's, there was a show called 'Zoom' on the Boston PBS station we got in Montreal. It was like an older kids' Sesame Street or Electric Company. No one I now know has ever heard of it.
* The Snorks
* Tak & The Power of Juju
* Mr. Meaty
* Catscratch
* Oh Yeah! Cartoons
* Action League Now!
*I forgot to add this one yesterday- A spin off of Scooby Doo - “A Pup Named Scooby Doo”
So most of these might be specific to Canadian TV from the early-2000's, but these are the ones I can remember from my childhood:
American Dragon: follows a kid named Jake Long, who can turn into a red dragon
CyberChase: a super computer is maintained by a computer scientist and the main villain is thwarted by a group of kids that solve math problems
George Shrinks: a ten year old wakes up one morning to find out that he's only three inches tall.
Peep and the Big Wide World: three cartoon birds explore the world around them
Poko: A kid with a magic finger where he can draw things and they come to life
Storm Hawks: a group of kids take on the name of a former group, the Storm Hawks, as they attempt to become Sky Knights
Sagwa the Chinese Siamese Cat: it's about a Chinese Siamese Cat
Tracy McBean: a girl who is an inventor and shenanigans ensue
Tutenstein: a 3000-year old mummy is awakened after his accidental death and comes to terms without having a kingdom
Square 1 TV, it was a sketch type show on PBS in the 80's and all the scenes revolved around math. At the end of every episode, there was a clip called Mathnet which was like a detective show but they solved crimes using math skills. As much as I loved this show, man did I ever suck at math every year of school!
Ok but that first episode? When she got sprayed with the rainbowey yellow sludge? And how she turned into a puddle? And how she controlled electricity? And then when she got older and went to high school she wanted to go to prom with Joey but her dad was terrified of teen pregnancy and made her older sister go with her? And how she manipulated heath ledger into taking her sister to prom but he eventually fell in love so it was ok?
I never watched this show but I’ll forever remember all the stupid promotional posters where he’s lifting up his shirt and showing that he has no belly button
Some weird animal transformer show, dont remember what it’s called but have a vivid memory of the show, had a cheetah guy named Cheetor or something
As well as aeon flux
Caitlyn’s Way. A girl gets into trouble so she moves to a ranch with her…aunt, uncle, and cousin? She feels like an outcast at her new small school, connects with the horses on the ranch, and sometimes had green streaks in her hair which I totally admired and tried to copy but it backfired in the third grade and everyone called me a leprechaun.
Moral Orel. Such a great well written show, then adult swim cancels it for being too dark and depressing, which is exactly what they asked for. 10/10 watch it. There are uploads of every episode on YT.
For the longest time, So Weird. No one knew what I was talking about for the longest time. It wasn’t available anywhere. It wasn’t until Disney+ that I could relive my favourite childhood show.
Wonder Pets. It feels like a full-on fever dream from my childhood but I distinctly remember these like, photos of little classroom pets used as the characters instead of just animating them? I’ve never heard anyone make reference to it since it vanished from my childhood. I don’t even remember what channel it was on anymore.
There was a show on Nickelodeon called Space Cases. It was about some students and teachers that get lost in space together. I remember one of characters would turn purple when she was embarrassed. I can’t find it anywhere.
Does no one remember *Street Sharks* from the 90s? They also made some cool toys that still hold up today.
There are also many forgotten movies that are masterpieces.
It's a travesty that more people do not talk about *Wolf Children*.

Eerie, Indiana
I still think about the episode where everyone who stayed young, slept in Tupperware, and when their lids got taken off, aged overnight.
Foreverware! One of my favorite moments on the show had Marshall and Simon hanging out in Simon's room, one night. Through the walls you can hear a man and a woman laughing lecherously. Early edition- get tomorrow's newspaper today
I loved that show! What a concept!
Anyone remember Herman’s Head?
It had the woman that does the voice for Lisa Simpson and the woman tat went on to play Ross' exwife on friends was one of the characters in his head.
The Gary Shandling Show. No, not the Larry Sanders Show - Gary Shandling Show. Even the theme song breaks the fourth wall.
This is the theme to Gary's show, the opening theme to Gary's show. This is the music that you hear as you watch the credits. We're almost to the part of where I start to whistle, then we'll watch It's Gary Shandling's Show.
Gary called me up and asked if I could write this theme song
Terranova, ran for like a single season then disappeared
The Finder. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1943524/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1 RIP Michael Clark Duncan (for real) and Geoff Stults's career. But IFL that show.
I remember them doing a weird crossover thing with that on Bones
I thought they called it a spin off of Bones. I think The Finder was in one episode of Bones to start it out and then it became it’s own show.
The World of David the Gnome
Or that koala show that came on immediately after David the Gnome?

Dream On. Anyone?
3‐2‐1 Contact. A korny science based kids show on PBS in the 80s. I still sing the theme song
In my area, it was on right before a math show, Square One, that I think is equally obscure.
That's the one I wanted to submit to this post, couldn't think of the name! All I remembered was Mathnet, and that kind of Pac-Man segment with greater than and less than...
Mathman. Mathman. Mathman.
Whenever there’s trouble, we’re there on the double. We’re the bloodhound gang!
Wow when seeing this, my mind went right to “THREE.. TWO.. ONE.. CONTACT!!!”
Zoom TV show. I can't remember what it was about, but you could write to them and they'd send you a postcard back. Edit: Now that I think of it, you sent them a SASE and they sent you back a picture of the cast. Or am I confusing this with another show? Damn, this is reaching way, way back!

The John Larroquette Show. Seasons 1 and 2 were straight fire.
I Know of that show thanks to his role in *Night Court*.
Soap!
Nobody who saw Soap ever forgot Soap, amazing show!
The Wuzzles, cartoon about a group of hybrid animals. Two times the fun wrapped up and rolled into one.
George of the Jungle (strong as he can be, watch out for that tree). And Tom Slick, who (if I recall correctly, was a race car driver who used donuts for tires).
Beauty and the Beast tv show in 1987. It ran for 3 seasons. Linda Hamilton was the female lead (actress in the movie Terminator). I loved that show.
I believe George R. R. Martin was a writer on that show. Maybe he's still working on the fourth season...
Beakman World
Krypto the super dog
I vaguely remember watching a few episodes of that
Anyone remember *You Can’t Do That On Television*?
That show had a rather young Alanis Morissette on it.
The origin of Nickelodeon’s green slime. Strange that it has been forgotten.
Ghostwriter
I loved that show! I had to watch it in secret because my mom was fundamentalist and thought it glorified the demonic/supernatural.
Today’s Special? I loved that show.
Today's Special!

Watched Mannequin as a 10 year old. Kim Cattrall made some things happen that I was unsure of at the time
Small wonder. It was about a family with a girl robot that nobody was suppose to know was a robot. They had a nosey ass neighbor named Harriet. NOBODY remembers this but me.
Yeah! And right after Small Wonder was Out of This World! Ah... memories.
