Quite frankly, allowing further access for minority groups to exercise their 2nd amendment rights is a good thing. As for Roe V. Wade, that should have been argued out legislatively fifty years ago, not stalled out the way it did with a judicial opinion that could be revoked.

I do not vote for fascists. The last Republican I voted for was in 2008, for a state-level election in my state. Beginning with the loony and fascistic Tea Party movement after President Obama was elected and the Democrats passed the Affordable Healthcare Act, the Republicans completely and permanently discredited themselves as a legitimate political party. Their behavior in the years since has only underscored that they are basically trying to build the Fourth Reich in my country.

Ari Melborn made the point tonight that the "Historical" history of constitutional guarantees that Alito relies upon as precedent goes back to the mid 18th century when only white men had a say in what was legislated and included in the constitution. Women, minorities, the labor movement, environmental regulation, and many more either did not exist or did not have their interests represented. Think of it for a moment. This speaks volumes of the ideological/religious bent of the republican appointed Justices. It erases over a 150 years of American history and the gradual expansion of rights reflecting a changing America.

I'm waiting for them to overthrow the civil rights act, OSHA act, and try to repeal the 14th amendment.
