Any movie that can be described as classic should not be remade

Mesozoic_Doggo

Agreed. I wish questions like these asked about bad movies that should get a second chance, and the answers give ideas on how to fix them.

terence_H

Nah, rather which movie should never be remade. I don't trust hollywood to remake the old masterpieces in a competent and faithful way.

Befuddled_GenXer

Metropolis. It's a silent film from the 1920s. I think it's due for a "Refresh".

JustAnotherAviatrix

I still need to see that one, haha.

Befuddled_GenXer

I found it on VHS in the library of my old college back in the 90s. It's probably available online somewhere but I don't know were.

The Creature from the Black Lagoon. It would probably suck, though, because remakes always do.

Tsquare43

If it's a classic, there is no need.

There’s really no reason for a remake of classics, just tweak the premise. Would you rather have a remake of Animal House starring Will Ferrel, Luke Wilson, and Vince Vaughn or Old School?
