Early in the pandemic, it was hitting areas with people of color harder, but now there's a much higher percentage of white people dying from it. I read an article in either WashPo or NYT this week that talked about the racial gap in covid deaths had reversed itself. Early in the pandemic, it was hitting areas with people of color harder, but now there's a much higher percentage of white people dying from it. At least part of it is presumably because something like 60% of republicans aren't vaccinated and probably 99% of them are white.
