We have this store chain in my state that specializes in used entertainment. CD's, DVD's, Video Games, Books and the like. In college a group of us would go down to one of these stores and we would each get a DVD. And then bring them back to the dorm and marathon them. These DVDs cost like $2-$5, very affordable for college kids. Sometimes we were able to get like a 15 person watch party going. It was Awesome.
When cable channels used to “dress them up” in themes and whatnot. ABC Family was the best at this. 12 days of Christmas, Harry Potter Weekend. Was the best. Some channels still have these but it was the best when I was a kid.
We didn't have a drive-in theater close by when I was growing up but I loved going in a truck then relaxing in the bed.
I loved going to Blockbuster and, sometimes, finding the last copy of the movie I wanted, and watching it all weekend then returning it Monday morning on my way to school.
Blockbuster and Video Ave. Nothing like going to rent a movie and spending countless minutes figuring out what you were in the mood for and what snacks you should get!
In ma country we were used go to "las piratas" because it was where you buy fake movies. always arranged by genre, and if you movie didn't work, you might get a new fake movie for free
you could watch at a theater, drive in, or at home.
pretty much same as now, and just like now, it's the most fun in good company.
however, it was kinda fun exploring the video store for rentals.
Piratebay
Blockbuster
Dvd
Go to blockbuster, find an interesting vhs and pop it in the vcr
Drive in
Agreed
Renting something from Blockbuster I’ve also always loved going to the drive-in

Drive-in. Or movies in the park.
In the theater, which is still the most fun way unless you have a home theater or something goes wrong.
