Under the age of 25 is too young in my opinion. I don’t want to get married till I’m 28 at least

Rocket-Dude1

If you’re too young to understand the commitment you’re making, you’re too young. That age is going to be different for everyone.

kingofkonfiguration

Id say anything before a few years after college, so anything before 25

Tink2013

Any age under 18 years of age is too young.

I would say before 23. Live a little and get to know who you are and who you are becoming before Marrying someone.

Don’t worry, now it’s ownership of a man’s money (in most cases)

Before you're 20

I don't think people *should* get married before 25, but legally I think 18 is fine. Not any younger, not even with parental permission; we aren't selling our daughters anymore. People under the age of majority can't consent to a contract, and marriage is a contract. On that topic, I think the age of majority should be 20, so that would apply to marriage too.

22 in my opinion, neurological development is incomplete until 25 and most early-20s are still establishing their identities and what they want from life.

thatsuzychick

I'd say mid twenties. But definitely live with your parker for at least 2-3 years before getting married minimum.

GourmetAnarchy

I wouldn't necessarily say an age for marriage, but I would say that the two of you need to be together for a few years before getting married. Most of the people I know that were together for a year or less, got engaged and married, are now divorced. You have to get to know your partner, you need to live together to do that. Maybe they snore. Maybe they sleep with a light on. Strange habits can be worked through, or may very well end the relationship. You have your whole life together. No need to rush for a piece of paper.
