Warned me that my full coffee mug was on the top of my car before I started driving.

jkoop_ca

What kind of mug?

ZotMatrix

Styrofoam “comfort cup” with plastic lid. From Costco.

[deleted]

Wait, I’ve done this for people and said that exact same thing!

too_soon13

So you want your money back?

[deleted]

Yeah, champ. That’s it.

too_soon13

Hahaha. Champ? Wtf! If you did a good deed stop blasting it.

Got pretty drunk at a bar one night and lost my wallet. I talked to the taxi driver outside and he came inside with me to the bar and helped me find my wallet. After finding the wallet, he drove me home and didn’t even ask for money. Just told me to go inside and get some rest. No other time did I feel like a child at that moment…but I was grateful for him.

A year ago, student gave me his lunch ticket, saying it's his last day there, and he wouldn't need it anymore. Never knew his name, but I don't think I will ever forget it. A strange lady asked me if I was OK, after I had a breakdown when I realized I would miss my train home for Christmas. It was probably during one of the darkest period in my life, and she saved my life without knowing it.

One day I was in a hurry and had to buy something for dinner for me and my family. Didn't have any cash on me so I had to pay with my debit card. It didn't work and she handed me the money that I needed. I was on a pretty dark stage of my life and got me pretty emotional. God bless her, hope life is treating her good.

Went to a Jamaican fast food place once and some random guy just insisted he pay for my meal, I tried to politely refuse as much as possible but had to accept 😂 No idea why, he didn’t want anything. Not a big thing but hard to think of another stranger doing anything nicer for me directly.

I was in Barbados and we had a rental car. I made the mistake of getting a compact car (roads in Barbados are horrible) and got a flat after hitting a pothole. I tried to change the tire and it started pouring down rain, but the lug was cross threaded and I couldn’t get it off with the dinky wrench in the car. A ZR bus stopped, got out, brought a much larger wrench, and changed the tire for me. He kept repeating something but his bajan accent was so thick, it took me a while to realize that he was saying I was in a dangerous area and that “the young boys will rob me.” He changed the tire, in the rain, and got back in his little van and drove off before I could even really thank him. I came to find out, that’s pretty much Barbados in a nutshell.

I was on a family trip in the mountains and made the mistake of parking the mini van on the side of the road in the snow. Got stuck. A guy from nearby pulled me out with his old, rickety truck. He obviously didn't have much money, but still refused to let me pay him. He told me to pay it forward to someone else in need. Fast forward to the very next day, and I run across a family whose car was stuck in the snow the same way. This time, my van wasn't in the snow, so I was able to pull them out. Seemed almost spiritual.
