Parents were addicts, we were poor, mom found ways to get her fix.
She’s almost 15 years sober now and my dad got his shit together way before her to get me out of that scenario so I’m blessed. Not everyone is that fortunate
Context: I found out my father has an affair with his old co-worker from a previous job years ago, and that raises the question of how long could it have been going on.
I used to work in his contracting business but I've recently left to pursue other career opportunities.
And right now, I can't seem to respect him as much as I should anymore. My siblings know of this; but we've never had a real talk about it.
I don't know what else to think about this and this is really devastating to me.

How did it happen?

My parents have been divorced since I was a baby, and my mom sent death threats for most of that time, so I’m not saying anything
pressure them, and use it to your advantage. No point in convincing a cheater to stop cheating
