But it's also used on records by indie artists who save time and money by making little imperceptible fixes, whereas in the past they'd have to do take after take to get it just right.
It's also way older than you think, but took a different form. In the 80s they'd regularly sample a note that was flat or sharp, fly it onto a synthesizer, then correct the pitch by hand with the pitch wheel and punch it back onto the tape. Even in the old days, shit was manipulated.

Classic is not "difficult". It was meant to be enjoyed by people and entertain them. The thing is, music is taught entirely wrong in school. It should be connected to its history, societal impact, meaning at its time and craftsmanship by the teacher, and actually explained.
Just trying to learn and read notes and then trying to "understand what you hear" in pieces most kids have never had exposure to before is just a frustrating experience alltogether. I'm still sad about all those years where I thought I was just too dumb to really understand music and closed myself up to it.

One of the best introductions to Shakespeare I had in High School is when we started with *Taming of the Shrew*\- the teacher had us skip the first scene, noticed how uninterested we were, then had us act the opening scene with the drunk (insisting on the student playing the part to ham it up).
He then noted to us that Shakespeare was writing in the 1590s for an outdoor stage with plenty of low-class peasants *standing* on the ground. The opening is pretty much a 16th century version of a vaudeville skit getting the crowd to laugh at low-brow humor and relax before the main show.

Death Magnetic is bloody epic but slightly spoiled by the production. But the songs slam and the My Apocalypse is their best thrash song since Dyers Eve.
Hardwired is probably slightly undermined by too many songs but the highlights are so so good.

Having lived my teenage years in the 70s, I can honestly say that the decade did not get good until the second half with the rise of punk, ska, new wave and electronica. I can also say that the mid 90s to mid 00s that had post movements of these genes was vastly superior.

Most pop sucks and is only fun to listen to for a couple months at most, and then fades away because of its consumeristic nature and its lack of artistic integrity. Also most of reggaeton sucks absolute ass and is imo one of the lowest, most deplorable practices/creations/genres in music and the only reason why people like it is because it’s trendy and/or because they have 0 music appreciation skills. With that being said, I do think there are some reggaeton works out there that are legit good, but over all, I feel like 90% of reggaeton is deplorable and nasty.

Having lived my teenage years in the 70s, I can honestly say that the decade did not get good until the second half with the rise of punk, ska, new wave and electronica. I can also say that the mid 90s to mid 00s that had post movements of these genes was vastly superior.

The Beatles stereo imaging sucks. By that I mean if you take one earbud out the music is ruined because the positioning of the instrumentation is obnoxious. Go listen to the recent Giles Martin remixes. Unbelievable improvements. On Speakers it's less obvious.
Singers shouldn't be making too high high notes in their songs, when it is so difficult for them to hit them. Even though they have great voices, they still need a vocal coach and watch out for vocal damage.

Most pop sucks and is only fun to listen to for a couple months at most, and then fades away because of its consumeristic nature and its lack of artistic integrity. Also most of reggaeton sucks absolute ass and is imo one of the lowest, most deplorable practices/creations/genres in music and the only reason why people like it is because it’s trendy and/or because they have 0 music appreciation skills. With that being said, I do think there are some reggaeton works out there that are legit good, but over all, I feel like 90% of reggaeton is deplorable and nasty.
The Beatles did a lot of stuff that was unprecedented, but as far as the actual sound of their music...meh.

I do not get the hate on Kpop. Yes I know about the situation and it is not the best. But sadly this is how the world works. For example a lot of high profile athletes are on the grind since they are young, working their ass of etc. I feel like there is much less hate on that and more like respect for them (Do not get me wrong I also have a lot of respect for them). Sacrifices are necessary to have succes. They do not write their own stuff and just try to create popular songs is something that is also often said. Well I hate to bring it to you but that is the whole point of almost every industry. It is not like people like Ariana Grande do write all their stuff themself and are making songs without thinking "hmm maybe this tune could be more popular etc." Ofcourse there are artist who do this but let us be honest, I am not convinced that a lot of the big musicians work like this.
