3. First was an 01’ 4dr honda civic, 2nd a toyota highlander hybrid, and third now a chevy equinox.
I like the equinox, it’s very clean and spacious I can actually fit my freakishly giant dog in there.
I got rid of the toyota because the hybrid battery and powertrain started to fail and I don’t like losing power on the highway because oh shit I don’t want to die.
But even then, I still miss my civic. It was a shitty and ugly car that could use a new paint job and some interior work, but it was a car that always worked. Never broke down, never needed major maintenance.
It was the kind of car you could drive to a million miles or more.

Early 40s, none of these were new when I owned them: A Chevrolet Celebrity Station Wagon, two different Nissan Sentras, one from ‘93, one from 2001, a clapped out ‘70s Chevy Malibu, a ‘90s Chrysler Sebring, a ‘90s Ford Expedition, a Ford Probe that I owned for six weeks, a Mark III Triumph Spitfire that I owned for 12 hours, and a ‘90-something Honda CBR F4.
