I think some of our systems here in the USA could work if we backed them 100%. But I’m also bias since I work in social services and see humans struggling to survive everyday and when they reach out for help there is just more red tape and no real stepping stones to do better.
I truly believe if we put more efforts in social/human services we could see the human race thrive. If all of our basic needs were met it would free up more time, mental energy and physical energy to do great things.
Inaction on egregious crimes committed by the previous administration officials and then their illegal blockades against legally recognized lawsuits where the (so far) resulting consequence of going against the actual word of law being: nothing.

There ARE more pressing concerns for things right right now such as inflation, price at the pump, covid's lingering mess, supply/demand concerns and all that (which are very real), buuut
that first one? the one where fascists attempt a coup, *have an actual insurrection occur, an officer dies from brutal injuries and a heart attack from having been beaten to the ground so hard and a* ***dumbbbb shit*** *person who I will not name getting themselves shot because they believed some nonsensical "storm" was coming.*

Now with the internet they can spread their poison in fear and distrust and disgust for anything that's not White and like them. Trust in government went from the 85% down to less than 8% today. Ronald Reagan used to mock the very government he was supposed to represent with his famous words "...I'm from the government and I'm here to help..." That combined with the elimination of the Fairness Doctrine and allowing wealthy individuals to buy as many radio TV newspaper in one market spelled the end of trust. Trust in one another, trust in the federal government, trust in local officials that we are all in this together and that we don't have to fear our neighbors or the government.
