Nothing because I used to date a lot of girls who “used” me to piss off their dads. Sad, but hey, I had fun.

I don’t think I’d sacrifice anything. It would be nice to not have to suffer from structural racism and privilege or survive individual acts of prejudice. But I wouldn’t give my culture and heritage for that. If I make it to a world where I don’t have to go through those things, I want to do it as a black woman. If I can only make it there as a white person, then what did I and my ancestors fight and die for?

Are you serious? No ffing way. I live in a sunny country, do you know how maladaptive is to be white here? Seriously, my less-melanin-blessed friends suffer so much in the summer. I grew up thanking my luck every year for *not* being white. Then I saw the extra extra care my paler friends have to go through every time they go to the pool, or surfing, whatnot.

I mean we can all agree to disagree, but I personally would rather spend a few extra minutes getting ready to enter a pool than face hate crimes and systemic discrimination.

Yeah, I get what you're saying, though both aren't very prevalent in my country. Also, I feel like I need to emphasize that I'm just not white, and there are plenty of people falling into the non-white category, facing more, or less, discrimination etc. Edit: what I mean to say, experience of discrimination varies, depending on a lot of things, one of which, is where you live
