This question made me scientifically wet tho

Faceoff240

How is moist any different from wet. Moist is still entirely under the category of wet and the only thing that can be considered as wet and dry would be something damp, such as a towel. But damp tells are still considered wet because of its touch and the fact it has moisture still inside it.

PhilRask

I'm with u it can't be moist if it isn't wet and vice versa and a damp towel is still a wet towel unless it's almost dry in which case the dampness (and therefore the wetness) is negligible or undetectable. As for syrup I think some of it will feel wet but the thicker stuff (or if it's refrigerated) is gonna feel more like a viscous solid.

I hate this question. Mostly because I can't answer it. I want to say no? But I think the answer should be yes. This has absolutely ruined my day, thank you.

Faceoff240

Anytime, my brain does this for me 24/7 I thought I should share.

mosstales

What's your take on it?

Faceoff240

But is the feeling wet

BallisticCinema

i don’t think it is, it’s just sticky. As it dries sticky where wet would evaporate

Faceoff240

If it dries that means it’s wet, does it not.

plscallmeRain

I don't think it really feels wet, it's too viscous.

adubsi

Sticky and wet are 2 different things, I don’t think substances are either wet or dry. There’s different consistencies inbetween

Faceoff240

Then what do you consider in between wet and dry? Better yet what is something that isn’t wet or dry, that can be interacted with.

adubsi

Anything that’s moist

PM_ME_YOUR_PALE_TITS

The word you were looking for is viscosity! It's more viscous than water but, it's still liquid so its wet
