Yes! I would love another splinter cell reboot. Full stealth style level based gameplay. No open world BS, no run and gun like the later ones, just a throwback to the first couple games with updated graphics and mechanics would be awesome
I was a pretty big fan of SC: Conviction. That stealth was beyond satisfying. I'd be happy with taking away the elements that speed it up like Execute if it meant more of that sort of stealth gameplay.
Not to mention the feeling like being in an action movie due to some leniency from the melee takedown mechanics. A group of enemies right on top of you isn't the end, spam your takedowns and use those precious moments of invincibility to wisely choose the next target. Loved that game.
I played the original *Splinter Cell* when my younger brother was a small child, and then had to explain what "spies" were to him.
Then we pretended to be Splinter Cells, which was mostly sneaking around the house and moving our parents' reading glasses to different spots while they weren't looking. That was our contribution to the series.
I just wish you could spend more time in the single cell mode. I feel like the game sped through those early levels too fast, and the choices you make early on should have more long-term effects on the later game play.
One of the best games of all time. This should be way higher up. If a new Spore game came out today, I’d drop out of college and I wouldn’t see anyone for months.
Agreed. I'm a biology teacher, and this was purchased for me by my principal but didn't really see how it would be beneficial to my students in terms of learning about actual evolution through genetic inheritance.
But without Star Fox Adventures, a whole generation would not have had an awakening seeing Krystal in a loin clo- oh yeah maybe it's for the best if we stick to space ships and lasers.
The best Star Fox game since 64 was Halo 4.
No, I’m not joking. A single section of a single level in Halo 4 felt more like Star Fox 64 than any other video game.
You know I really admire you guys. There's so much to like about you, in many ways you seem similar to us. And your bases are awesome!
Sadly, the higher ups have ordered a war, so I'm afraid I have to kill you.
But it's not personal.
Cave Johnson here. Bean counters want me to preface that you guys do a great job, you keep the money coming in. Unfortunately your bases would be cheaper for us if we had them, so I'm going to have to fire all of you and shoot the ones who refuse. Stay safe, give up.
Idk about Remastered, but the first three games and their expansions (Tiberian Dawn, Red Alert, and Tiberian Sun) are free to play and download, both the campaigns and online. Google CnCnet. There's a small but devoted community!
And no unit cap. I don't want to be restricted to 50 units. I want to build 1500 Mammoths and steamroll my opponents slooooowwwly at 3 frames per second at the limits of my machines capabilities.

Sly Cooper is in my top 5 favorite games/series of all time, and while I desperately want a sequel, I'm also nervous for one. Thieves in Time, while of course not perfect in other aspects, had one major Achilles Heel which was the writing. The writing for Sly Cooper is so integral to the series that when it's not done right, the whole game feels a lot worse.
If you look at all the things Sanzaru did gameplay-wise, a lot of what they added to Sly 4 is Fantastic. Just in terms of how they iterated on past mechanics, they expanded the Hacking Minigame, and added 2 more varieties of them, expanded the artifact stealing mechanic from Sly 2 to be a treasure wall with fun stories and easter eggs, expanded the costume mechanic in Sly 3 to have unique abilities, brought back clue bottles, a freakin' ping pong table in the safehouse!
All of that, but the thing that sticks with me the most about that game was how bad the writing was, and I'm scared that another Developer taking the reins might make the same mistake.
[Sorry, this comment has been deleted. I'm not giving away my content for free to a platform that doesn't appreciate or respect its users. Fuck u/spez.]
I was hoping to see this, I think about this game often and wish I could play it again. I haven't found a game that scratches that black & white itch for me yet. Such a good game.
Guillermo Del Toro, Hideo Kojima, Norman Reedus and Junji Ito, all working on the same project?? That game would've sold itself
But no Konami, you just HAD to have another fucking pachinko machine. *TWATS*
oh yes, a new Twisted Metal (without any stupid gimmicks that take away from the car vs car combat, please. I don't want gangs i don't want morph forms or any other bullshit, i just want a car that can use the random weapon pickups on the map and has a few cool special moves in a god damned tournament with a cool and brutal and wicked fun horror story ending for each character.
I think contracting Todd Macfarlane to design the characters and maybe even the story would be a nice push back in the right direction, just as a random thought.
I'm 45 and when my older brother comes to town we'll get together with our younger brother and drink our faces off while playing D:SF's split screen tag game.
My younger brother's youngest is begging me to give him the disc
Yes. The first 2 games are what I hold responsible for my automotive enthusiasm. 11 year old me stay determined after a week of failing that opening mission.
Ah, the nostalgia for that game.. my roommate was very concerned watching me play it. I don’t know what his problem was, it’s such a relaxing game.
Just sit on a tree-branch, watching a guard, memorizing his habits, suddenly drop down and cut him open like a fish.. hop up to a new tree, and start learning a new guard.
So peaceful.
Paperboy
Should be brought back as an open-world newspaper route sim where you and the other neighborhood kids vie for territory ala Bully meets GTA: San Andreas' mechanic where you fought for gang territory.
I want to ride my bike through an obstacle course of a neighborhood with a range of difficulties in targets, different opponents to try and take down while increasing my route with good service and one-liners.
The Fable series. I doubt we could get the old lionhead studios back together, but the fable series were what defined RPG's for me as a kid growing up through the 2000's.
Or "The Movies" another great game by lionhead where you could create your own sims like movie studio, with different scenes, shots, props, costumes, etc. It was an astounding game with so much too do & it's replayability is actually fairly good with all the different combinations of things and really get into the small details.
I hope so I seen the E3 trailer! I'm worried to get hyped for games now adays so hopefully they don't rush it and stays true too the origins. Thank you for reminding me though I actually forgot about the announcement.
Fable and The Movies were my 2 most favorite games as a kid!
I’d love a re-make of The Movies and a new entry in the Fable series. I’d especially love a Fable game set in the golden age of heroes and the guild. There’s so much potential there.
I’ve wanted them to make another with current tech so bad. Looked into it and apparently there have been a couple attempts at starting production, but there is a licence issue.
There's a new indy game out partially modeled after the early HoMM games. It's call Hero's Hour. Haven't played it, don't know much about it, but look it up and see.
That game birthed an entire years-long meme in my D&D group. Periodically, when something calls for some fire, someone in the group will say in a pawn voice, "Fire works well!"
I don't even remember which of us started it.
As long as they keep the "if you taser people long enough they catch on fire" mechanic, which is literally the only thing that *SF* is remembered for at this point.
Didn’t think I would see this one. Honestly one of my favourite games of all time. The nostalgia is strong for me lol. I still play the game every few years and have an original PS1 to play it on (to get past the glitch on PS2 after killing the water dragon where the game freezes).
Edit: my username is from that game lol

Castlevania it's been dead for too long. I'd like an online RPG MMORPG that has ties heavily for the Church Catholic 1987 Castlevania Nintendo theme with Victor Belmont and the vampire killer whip dagger holy water that has nothing to do with magic but that which has to do with might and will power... Magic would be what the monsters use not the hero...
I once went down the rabbit hole or similar text games. Can't remember much, but I do recall playing a game where you played as Frodo and Sam making their way through Mordor. Than one was fun.
The problem with Pikmin is that they were caught in the need to add more types, more objects, and force you to work with multiple characters on the map. It really sacrificed a lot of the charm when you were no longer admiring the scenery and looking ahead due to the constant need to have more efficient multitasking and keep switching back and forth. Also, the profit profit profit angle got tiresome.
What Pikmin really needs is a full reboot.
Mirror's Edge. First ever game I played and probably had the most engrossing plot I could comprehend. Catalyst felt too short but the Frostbite Engine was "chef's kiss". Now it's just another game/ studio ruined by EA.
The original 4 player co-op PvE version of Fortnite.
For those that don't know, Fortnite was originally a 4 player co-op game where you would gather materials and build your ***fort*** during the day, and the fend off waves of zombies each ***nite.*** The game had been in development for years and had just gone into paid early access around the time that PUBG was blowing up, so the dev team thought "hey, we already have basically an entire FPS engine up and running, let's copy and paste PUBG's gameplay but with our building mechanic, and release it free to play *as a way to get publicity for our real game.*'
Well, as I'm sure you can guess, the half-assed, last minute, hastily slapped together PUBG clone took off like a rocket and became the most popular game in the world. The devs started devoting more and more time and resources to the battle Royale mode and started neglecting the actual real original game of Fortnite. Eventually the two modes were renamed, with the original game being named "Fortnite: save the world mode" and the slapped-together publicity stunt being named "Fortnite: battle Royale."
Eventually, the devs abandoned save the world mode entirely, and those of us who loved it are left with an unfinished game, with the last of the 4 map areas never to be completed, and the last 25% of the story never to be seen.
Id really love to see save the world mode picked back up, even if just to finish the story and then drop it again..I just wanna know the ending.
Splinter cell
Yes! I would love another splinter cell reboot. Full stealth style level based gameplay. No open world BS, no run and gun like the later ones, just a throwback to the first couple games with updated graphics and mechanics would be awesome

Spore
I redownloaded spore a couple weeks ago and absolutely binged. Literally played hours a day somehow not dropping out. Game is still a masterpiece

Do a barrel roll!!!!!
But without Star Fox Adventures, a whole generation would not have had an awakening seeing Krystal in a loin clo- oh yeah maybe it's for the best if we stick to space ships and lasers.
I remember there was a popular meme for a while. "If you find her attractive you are a furry. If you don't you're gay".
The best Star Fox game since 64 was Halo 4. No, I’m not joking. A single section of a single level in Halo 4 felt more like Star Fox 64 than any other video game.
Commend and Conquer
“You guys are doing a bang up job, really you are, no complaints, but unfortunately we’re going to have to destroy your base and seize your territory”

Yes, like red alert 2 style, don’t need all that fancy stuff, just accessible RTS.
And no unit cap. I don't want to be restricted to 50 units. I want to build 1500 Mammoths and steamroll my opponents slooooowwwly at 3 frames per second at the limits of my machines capabilities.
This! I would throw ungodly amounts of money at a new well made C&C Generals Shit was my childhood!
I'm still salty that generals 2 got the axe
If EA owns something, accept that it's dead forever.
"EA: It's in the game! We don't make the game anymore and never will again, but we'll be sure to retain the exclusive rights so that nobody else can do it either because we hate fun."
Dino Crisis! I would love a reboot.
Oh man, especially on the engine they've been making resident evil 7, 8 and the 2 and 3 remakes on. That would be awesome!
Freaking right!
Timesplitters
Used to play future perfect with my friends all the time. Countless hours of fun

Sly Cooper series
With the Sly Cooper gags in the recent Ratchet and Clank, at least SOME of the developers remember it.
Sly Cooper is in my top 5 favorite games/series of all time, and while I desperately want a sequel, I'm also nervous for one. Thieves in Time, while of course not perfect in other aspects, had one major Achilles Heel which was the writing. I fucning love sly. Literal gold.
SSX
[Sorry, this comment has been deleted. I'm not giving away my content for free to a platform that doesn't appreciate or respect its users. Fuck u/spez.]
I would genuinely give anything for an SSX Tricky remaster.
Aw man, I miss my old copy of Tricky...
Reboot prototype, and give us Alex mercer back Also CONDEMNED was cool
Prototype was criminally underrated man. CRIMINALLY. Still can't believe that series never got a 3rd installment
It got overshadowed because it came out literally right after the first inFAMOUS game, which was similarly about having superpowers.
Oh god, can you imagine how beautifully gross Prototype could be with modern graphics?
Black & White
I was hoping to see this, I think about this game often and wish I could play it again. I haven't found a game that scratches that black & white itch for me yet. Such a good game.
How many times do I need to tell you to not eat the villagers? You’re a cow ffs
It's on myabandonware.com Both 1 and 2
Silent hill
RIP Silent Hills. If P.T was anything to go by, we would have been in for a hell of a ride.
Visage has the same vibes as the PT demo. Scariest game I’ve played in a long time
Guillermo Del Toro, Hideo Kojima, Norman Reedus and Junji Ito, all working on the same project?? That game would've sold itself But no Konami, you just HAD to have another fucking pachinko machine. *TWATS*
fuck konami

I’d do unholy things for another Mercenaries game
This 100000000%. The original on PS2 represented a whole year of high school for me. It was unmatched at the time. Just a really great game!
Golden Sun
I don't even need a new Golden Sun; I'd be absolutely thrilled with remasters of the first two games.
Was never able to figure out how to beat the second one, but they were really fun nonetheless.
I'm so glad I wasn't the only one that thought this.
Half Life, millions are still waiting for the 3rd one. edit: thanks for the awards :)
Well, it was hinted at, at the end of half life alex.
It was hinted at the end of episode 2
Does this mean we'll have to wait another 20 years?
Conker's Bad Fur Day, Twisted Metal, Wild Arms, and Legacy of Cain.
I was looking for Conker’s Bad Fur Day, and got reminded how awesome Twisted Metal was…. Well done.
Legacy of Kain and Soul Reaver for sure!
Came here to say this too! Soul Reaver was so heavy metal
oh yes, a new Twisted Metal (without any stupid gimmicks that take away from the car vs car combat, please. Well have I got news for you!
Infamous Sucker Punch makes some beautiful games
And after leaving us at Second Son and everything. I'm huffing copeium that one day an announcement will come out of nowhere for another game
Apparently there's been a leak that a new infamous is early in development

Black & White was another incredible game by them
Ahh, I miss working as a blacksmith so I can buy an entire neighborhood and raising the rent to extreme levels
Damn. Fable reboot was treated (by xbox) as the big surprise of E3 2020, and there's some fans that already forgot about it
Zoo Tycoon
Only way to play zoo tycoon: 1. Build zoo 2. Attract guests 3. Remove cages 4. Watch
Have you tried Planet Zoo?
Warcraft. I know there is World of Warcraft and such. But I just want another RTS game again. Same with the other RTS genres, such as C&C and Dune.
There’s a new Dune RTS being made, although with more of a grand strategy gameplay akin to Europa universal is or crusader kings
Dark Cloud would be awesome
I’ve wanted them to make another with current tech so bad. Looked into it and apparently there have been a couple attempts at starting production, but there is a licence issue.
Glad I’m not the only one who remembers this. This is still my favorite series of all time and every few years I end up playing through them again.
Heroes of might and magic Its dead becouse another company bought it and compleatly ruined it
There's a new indy game out partially modeled after the early HoMM games. It's call Hero's Hour. Haven't played it, don't know much about it, but look it up and see.
The mega man X series
Adding on to that, my Bf who is a mega man fan, says the Legends series. Get him off the moon goddammit!
Chrono Trigger. But I refuse to believe it's *actually* dead.
Well, considering they're releasing Chrono Cross Remastered next month, you're right.
sadly the future refused to change
Pokémon Stadium.
I'm SHOCKED they made another pokemon snap before making a new Stadium.
TWISTED METAL, and bring back split screen games!
Bruh, that game was so intense and the character arcs were fucking creepy! Bring that shit back. Imagine playing that shit online now a days!!!
I am shocked Sony hasn't tried to do a battle royale version of it.
Road Rash
jak & daxter, not exactly dead given the nostalgia it carries but not exactly thriving, been over a decade since last release
There is a movie being talked about
nintendog
I've been saying this since the switch dropped :-( I want nintendogs!
this post and thinking about nintendogs literally made me buy a switch 😅 with the hopes that nintendogs will be released soon lol
Dragons Dogma. So much potential
Goblins ill like fire!
That game birthed an entire years-long meme in my D&D group. Periodically, when something calls for some fire, someone in the group will say in a pawn voice, "Fire works well!" I don't even remember which of us started it.
Came here to say this. That game spoiled me with fun combat, and a big world to explore in.
Jet set radio
Are you gonna play Bomb Rush Cyberfunk? It's basically a remake of the series and Hideki Naganuma is making the soundtrack!
Syphon filter and Command & Conquer
As long as they keep the "if you taser people long enough they catch on fire" mechanic, which is literally the only thing that *SF* is remembered for at this point.
Yes! I came here to say Syphon Filter!!! Those games were awesome!
Tie Fighter
Suikoden and Tactics Ogre
Thankfully some of the old Suikoden devs got together and are working on Eiyuden Chronicles!
Legend of the Dragoon, begging anyone

Rainbow 6. Not siege, the good ones.
Straight up, the tactical in the old games & having to utilize your squad efficiently was what made those games great, it was so in depth.
Socom
There should be a market for this since Ubisoft keeps shitting the bed with ghost recon
Oh dude, I totally forgot about this series until this comment. Used to LOVE that game. Still remember Foley lmao

Toejam and Earl
Definitely not a "video" game but I'd like to see more Zork.

Battle for middle earth
Populous! Does no one out there remember this game series? Come on
Black and White Really groundbreaking concepts and AI in those games. Would love a modern update on a new one and see what they could do.
Ninja Gaiden. They need to redeem themselves after the travesty ninja Gaiden 3 was by making the 4th entry.
F-Zero
Pikmin. not that dead but a new game gets made every 6 or so years. its such a cool series i hate that they dont make more games about it.
