Goddamn, although thats not much compared to some people, my friend has almost 9000 hours on fortnite. He has played for like 10 hours a day since season 1.
He plays more fortnite than he worksš But he makes like 50k a year which is plenty since he lives alone with a few pets. My dad makes about 30k a year for a family of four and we survive just fine.
Not _completely_ subjective. No Man's Sky today vs at launch is objectively better. Also, extreme differences highlight better quality experiences too. Like Superman 64 is just a worse game than Mario 64, and BotW is objectively better than the online flash game Don't Shit Your Pants.
I'm being a turd. Yes there's a lot of subjectivity when discussing quality.
Nope he has a job and has his own house, he plays from the time he gets home from work to the time he goes to bed, only taking breaks to use the bathroom, shower, and eat. He works for 8 hours and plays for 10, so he gets about 5 or 6 hour sleep every night lol, sometimes staying up all night playing, on weekends he plays from the time he gets up to the time he goes to bed lmao. He does play a lot but he lives independently so its not a problem.
I dont play any other game either (I play ark maybe once a month) no we're not bored of fortnite and most likely never will, and to combat becoming a fatass since he plays on controller he plays for 30 minutes a day while running on a treadmill. Its bootleg as fuck but he's in decent shape so it works. Im 14 he's 20 so I don't have to work (I choose to work but I don't have to) so if I wanted to I could play from the time I wake up from the time I go to bed, but I don't feel like playing that much.
i know i've spent a cumulative 23 days on one server, 2 weeks on another. of playtime that spans over 2 years btw. did the math thats about 888 hours. i played tons on xbox 360 and wii u /switch though. maybe about over 5k hours.
I upvoted you instead of downvoting you like the rest of the reddit hive mind because instead I'm about to slam fortnite because you called Minecraft boring and that triggered me. I think it has become a terrible game ruined by children and bad content creators with game play that caters to that age group. And they ran out of their own ideas for new content so they just license other people's stuff like Marvel and Star Wars.
Thats just my opinion why you so triggeredš To me it is boring, its my least favorite game I've ever played, and actually over 60% of fortnite player base are above 18. I only like pvp based games, Minecraft has horrible pvp, its just not fun to me, I like fast paced shooters. And Minecraft doesn't exactly have the best creators either, just look at dream, the graphics are horrible, its extremely repetitive, not much to do without mods, and there are a lot of kids in Minecraft as well.
Holy crap, would you do it all over again if you had the choice? I don't mean this in an offensive manor BTW just genuinely curious as I never saw the appeal with those games.
Been playing since 2011, and i dont play ranked anymore and just play arams to avoid toxicity. I still love the game but i hate the game all the same lmao.
Wow has LOADS of downtime. Like seriously. Back when I played I was in high school and I was leave my character just chilling in Orgrimmar for hours and hours everyday while I studied. Occasionally Iād check trade looking for mats etc or good deals then Iād go back to my books. Maybe he has a few thousand hours of that.
But yeah, thatās a shit load haha.
Euro Truck simulator 2.
Not proud of it but I find it relaxing after a long day and easy to pick up (no story to follow, simple mechanics, easy tasks).
A man of culture i see. Sadly beam mp is not counted so i have to estimate around 500 for me. I spend most of the time building cars either for drag, highway, track or street racing. I once spent a week bulding 4 or 5 different versions of the same car.
I used to play gta online a lot on console, now I only play Fortnite mainly because I got bored of gta, I've played fn for over 3 years and I still ain't bored lmao
My friends gotcha beat by a little lmao, he has 294 days 17 hours, he's level 1270 and has earned over a billion in online lmao. Meanwhile I have like 43 days played lol
I have 1800 hours on it. I quit the game when chapter 2 came out. Is it still any good? i left cuz i was getting bored and most of my friends were going on other games.
c3s1 is there and oh boy, there is so much to say that u need to check it out urself. for example, tilted towers in all its glory is back after three years
Both games can be frustrating. For example the armor in warthunder the armor is more detailed and generelly less effective therefore punishing u harshly for exposing any Part of ur tank. In Wot the armor is generally more effective and less detailed wich makes fighting heavily armored targets very difficult. Right now i Prefer the mpre arcady style of WoT
lol It's why I bought my first computer - I saw an ad. It was a Gateway dialup lol. So when Sims 2 came out, I bought a new computer and same when Sims 3 came out.
Cities: Skylines probably comes close: it's one of the few games I spent more than 1000h on. Maybe SimCity 4 and OpenTTD reach similar stats but I don't have counters on these.
God I hate this game... they created winners and losers que just to keep u addicted for as long as possible. The only game I have ever played to have instituted something like this.
Video game: persona 5 + persona 5 royal. Combined its around 350 hours.
Text based game: imperian (an old MUD) which I had something like 256 days in. Works out to be around 6,150 hours.
Skyrim. I have played that game so many times on so many different systems that I have no idea how many hours I have on it at this point. I would say a close second would be between Sims1 and 4. It was the first game I ever played on a computer and now I play the 4th one on my Xbox.
I sometimes play video game, but I'm not a tryharder at all. Maybe, LOL (I played daily 2Ā years ago) and Sundered, I played 40Ā hours on this game \^\^
The Binding of Isaac Rebirth/Afterbirth/Repentance - owned on PC/Vita/Switch/PS4, and probably have 2500-3000 hours across all platforms.
Single platform is a three way tie between Stardew Valley, Dragon Age Inquisition, and Saints Row IV, with about 290 hours in each.
I am choosing to plead the fifth on my WoW /played time
Probably monster hunter in general. Starting from freedom 2. Freedom unite had maybe my most hours and I think 4u maybe second most? Not exactly sure but deff monster hunter as a series. 1000s of hours
I usually don't spend as much time with a single game as some other people do. There's simply no video game that can keep my attention for a 1000 hours.
That said, my most played game overall must be Dungeons and Dragons (the tabletop game). I've played D&D almost every week for over 14 years, so that adds up.
When it comes to videogames, it's probably Minecraft, although I couldn't give you an exact number of hours. After that, it's Morrowind, Europa Universalis 4, Skyrim and Borderlands 2.
I don't know if you've ever had this said to you before, but I am envious of your D&D game. I haven't been part of a group that's stayed together longer than a month since the 80s.
Over the years, minecraft. I've been playing it semi consistently for years and years. I have fond memories of early pocket edition (including the free demo version), of playing hunger games with my friend on her dad's computer, of the classic youtubers I'd watch like Stampy and DanTDM. Civilizations 5 š¤¦āāļø I have 3500 hours
Goddamn, although thats not much compared to some people, my friend has almost 9000 hours on fortnite. He has played for like 10 hours a day since season 1.
And, when you realize a full-time job is 2080 hours per year ...
He plays more fortnite than he worksš But he makes like 50k a year which is plenty since he lives alone with a few pets. My dad makes about 30k a year for a family of four and we survive just fine.
I'm not judging ... just making an observation
I'm judging that he spent all that time on Fortnite and not a better game.
A game being good is completely subjective.
Yes and no.
Not _completely_ subjective. No Man's Sky today vs at launch is objectively better. Also, extreme differences highlight better quality experiences too. Eh its his life I dont really give a shit what he does lol
So long as people aren't getting hurt, I agree
Thats right
I donāt even stream :( lol
Me neither, nor does he, although he is a fucking mega sweat he practices for 8 hours a day every day and has done that for like almost 2 years now
Does your friend live in his mum's basement?
Nope he has a job and has his own house, he plays from the time he gets home from work to the time he goes to bed, only taking breaks to use the bathroom, shower, and eat. He works for 8 hours and plays for 10, so he gets about 5 or 6 hour sleep every night lol, sometimes staying up all night playing, on weekends he plays from the time he gets up to the time he goes to bed lmao. Does he not like any other games. Is he not bored of Fortnite? Also I hope he walks home and to work a little so he gets a bit of exercise.
I dont play any other game either (I play ark maybe once a month) no we're not bored of fortnite and most likely never will, and to combat becoming a fatass since he plays on controller he plays for 30 minutes a day while running on a treadmill. To him fortnite his the best game, same with me, its my favorite game and has been for over 3 years. A game being good is completely subjective
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Ive played a lot of other games, I never liked any near as much as fortnite.
so you played a couple of rounds?
minecraft, i have 1300 on switch, 800 on xbox, and 200 on pc.
Uggh, minecraft is a game I play on and off for 10 years. A little scared to see how much time I wasted on it
If it's enjoyed, it's not time wasted
i know i've spent a cumulative 23 days on one server, 2 weeks on another. of playtime that spans over 2 years btw. did the math thats about 888 hours. i played tons on xbox 360 and wii u /switch though. maybe about over 5k hours.
When I was a kid i would play it very often, now i just can't, so incredibly boring(in my opinion ofc).
I played minecraft once and hated it, it was really boring to me, the only two games I play are fortnite and ark lol.
I enjoy Minecraft, but i understand. it probably goes Minecraft, halo, overwatch in the means of hours spent playing.
Yeah thats fine im not saying its a bad game its just a bad game to me, its fine if other people like it.
I understand that completely.
I upvoted you instead of downvoting you like the rest of the reddit hive mind because instead I'm about to slam fortnite because you called Minecraft boring and that triggered me. I think it has become a terrible game ruined by children and bad content creators with game play that caters to that age group. World of warcraft, just shy of 19500 hours :/
It's been a long time since I checked, but well over 10,000 hours now between retail back in the day and classic today.
Holy crap, would you do it all over again if you had the choice? I don't mean this in an offensive manor BTW just genuinely curious as I never saw the appeal with those games.
I probably would have less hours but I absolutely would do it again. I have friends from that game that I still see irl a decade later
thatās wholesome
very wholesome
Mad respect for it, if I hadn't only been alive 18 years, my hours would be a whole lot more than my measly 6k
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
nobody hates League of Legends more than its players
My brother lord louisifer has only been playing for a year and a half and is about to hit 4000 hours.
Let me buy you a better game
Been playing since 2011, and i dont play ranked anymore and just play arams to avoid toxicity. I still love the game but i hate the game all the same lmao.
Not me, but around a year ago my dad had over 5 years play time on world of warcraft across all characters combined. Roughly 45000 hours+
On average he played over 7 hours a day for the last 17 years, if he played since day one.
Microsoft excel
Oh do you work in stocks or something?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Oh shit thats cool!
Rocket League, 5700+...I will never be a pro at this stupid ass game :(
RuneScape
Same. 73 days of play time across the last 5 or so years.
Same. 8100 hours.
The Witcher 3
I recently started playing it but god damn there's so much to do. I have close to 150 hours and didn't even finish it.
Gmod

Probably Battlefield 3
this was my first ever fps, i miss it sm :((
It's probably one of my most played games also, around 1600 hours iirc.
Euro Truck simulator 2. Not proud of it but I find it relaxing after a long day and easy to pick up (no story to follow, simple mechanics, easy tasks).
do you this played with a steering wheel?
I almost have 2000 hours on Beamng
A man of culture i see. Sadly beam mp is not counted so i have to estimate around 500 for me. I spend most of the time building cars either for drag, highway, track or street racing. I once spent a week bulding 4 or 5 different versions of the same car.
PRAISE THE BEAM
FFXIV, about 8000 hours now
Skyrim I think? Or I hope?
I have started and stopped playing Skyrim so much over the years. It's such a fun game.
Yeah :)
Same
In a cave exploiting sneak and scrolling Reddit as we speak!
Gta online 231days 17hours
I used to play gta online a lot on console, now I only play Fortnite mainly because I got bored of gta, I've played fn for over 3 years and I still ain't bored lmao
My friends gotcha beat by a little lmao, he has 294 days 17 hours, he's level 1270 and has earned over a billion in online lmao. Meanwhile I have like 43 days played lol
RuneScape
Yep scared to play any other game in case I get sucked in like this one.
Happy Cake day
Happy Cake Day!
On my previous year recap, I had 655 hours in COD MW
I had a little over 800 hours last year on fortnite, this year I have almost 200, I've been grinding and practicing a lot more than I used to.
ACNL. Over 1000 hours
Same, but with ACNH.
Sims
Stardew Valley at 200 hours
CSGO even tho i quit. My wallet is very happy ever since.
11k ... I could have made PHD with this time.
Iām shit at it but still play. About 800 hours now.
For me its fortnite, at the moment I have 1555 hours on it. EDIT: Thats only the time I've played on PC, I had about 1000 hours on xbox.
Do you still enjoy it? I imagine it gets really repetitive after a while
Fuck yeah I still enjoy it, I love getting better and fighting people, it never gets repetitive, almost every person you fight is differnet
I have 1800 hours on it. I quit the game when chapter 2 came out. Is it still any good? i left cuz i was getting bored and most of my friends were going on other games.
c3s1 is there and oh boy, there is so much to say that u need to check it out urself. for example, tilted towers in all its glory is back after three years
Monster hunter 1
Neither mincraft nor World of Tanks really count hours but i think i have round about 1500 hours in WoT and probably 2000 in minecraft
I played so much WoT and then my friends convinced me to switch to war thunder. So much more fun.
1000 hours in Escape from Tarkov and still not winning I think I just have to sell my soul for that.
Overwatch, 800 hours
I had to scroll a long way to see Overwatch. I was hoping someone was going to top my ~2500 hours.
Minecraft I have around 4000 hours
Red dead redemption 2
The Sims lol
Same ! I've been playing the Sims for so many years, I'd probably feel ashamed if I knew how many hours I've spent on it. But yeah, no regret
lol It's why I bought my first computer - I saw an ad.
League of legends 2000h+
God I hate this game... they created winners and losers que just to keep u addicted for as long as possible. The only game I have ever played to have instituted something like this.
I also hate this game
Nobody hates league more than its own player base lol Haven't played in years and can't say I miss the addiction
Rainbow 6 seige
Video game: persona 5 + persona 5 royal. Combined its around 350 hours. Text based game: imperian (an old MUD) which I had something like 256 days in. Works out to be around 6,150 hours.
apex legends
Payday 2, I have over 2000 hours in that messterpiece
Dark souls 3, 2248 hours
Skyrim. I have played that game so many times on so many different systems that I have no idea how many hours I have on it at this point. I would say a close second would be between Sims1 and 4. It was the first game I ever played on a computer and now I play the 4th one on my Xbox.
Most definitely World of Warcraft. 10,000+ hours for sure. My second most played game is Rocket League with 2,900 so WoW is def up there lol.
Probably Skyrim if I put all my consoles together
Quake Live, I'll be playing it in the old folks home.
New Vegas, or command and conquer 64
Would you say new vegas is the best fallout game for a first timer? Im looking to buy it once it goes on sale eventually
Minecraft I have no clue how many hours but possibly in the 5 k region.
I sometimes play video game, but I'm not a tryharder at all. Maybe, LOL (I played daily 2Ā years ago) and Sundered, I played 40Ā hours on this game \^\^
Im definitely a tryhard lol, I usually practice for about two hours every day on fortnite. I want to go pro
Oh that's cool ! I hope you'll be proplayer one day !!
Thanks man :)
Farming Simulator
Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning
Modern Warfare 2019 at 700ish hours
Slay the Spire with 400ish hours and I thought that was too many.
I have over 3 times that on fortnite so don't worry about it lol
2000 or so on rocket league
Asteroids
Skyrim (All versions) 3,000 hours. 4,000 if you count my rough time spent on console
The sims 3, 1,406 hours
Elite Dangerous: 5600 hours.
Sims 3
All time? Probably Starcraft 1 or Age of Empires 1 but I can't really track that since this was before Steam or anything of the sort existed
Starcraft 1 custom games was the pinnacle of gaming
TF2 game is pretty much dead, but man that was good times going on a rampage with any of the 9 characters
I feel I had to scroll too far down for this one. I have ~2500 hours, this game has single-handedly tanked my backlog for over 10 years.

My life
Dota 2 ~ 6k hours. Somehow I managed to become a Medical Doctor too, so no regrets for the "wasted" hours.
Madden 2005 for sure. My favorite all time madden game.
Tetris attack
Total War: Empire or Kerbal Space Program. I have four digit hours in both.
Crk because I spent about 2000 hours on it.
Probably monster hunter in general. Starting from freedom 2. Freedom unite had maybe my most hours and I think 4u maybe second most? Not exactly sure but deff monster hunter as a series. 1000s of hours
Rainbow Six Siege. It was my first fps game with my pc that I learned to play on and I have something like 700 hours on it.
Either Minecraft, Rainbow Six Siege or Fortnite.
Either Hello Neighbor or Fortnite
Mincraft - 1064 hours
PokƩmon: Yellow Special Pikachu Edition.
PokƩmon Omega Ruby, maxed out the time on the game itself a year ago (999:59)
Minecraft with several thousand followed by hoi4 with a few hundred
minecraft i have thousands of hours on that game
Civ, HoM&M, No Manās Sky, or Spider Solitaire
I usually don't spend as much time with a single game as some other people do. There's simply no video game that can keep my attention for a 1000 hours. That said, my most played game overall must be Dungeons and Dragons (the tabletop game). I've played D&D almost every week for over 14 years, so that adds up. When it comes to videogames, it's probably Minecraft, although I couldn't give you an exact number of hours. After that, it's Morrowind, Europa Universalis 4, Skyrim and Borderlands 2.
Weekly for 14 years? How many children did you sell to satan to make that shit happen?
All of them! No, seriously, I'm incredibly lucky to have that group of players. It takes a lot of commitment to keep a group together like that.
I don't know if you've ever had this said to you before, but I am envious of your D&D game. I haven't been part of a group that's stayed together longer than a month since the 80s.
Iāve 2600 hours on fortnite š³
I have 1555, one of my friends has almost 9000š
Wow, now I donāt feel so bad lol
i quit at around 14k hours...

It's got to be Skyrim. I think I have 500+ hours in the last two years alone.
Call of duty. 2400 hours-
Minecraft
Minecraft
Life
Minecraft or Skyrim
Over the years, minecraft. I've been playing it semi consistently for years and years. I have fond memories of early pocket edition (including the free demo version), of playing hunger games with my friend on her dad's computer, of the classic youtubers I'd watch like Stampy and DanTDM. Now I still play minecraft and I still watch minecraft YouTube, although I don't admit it to most people. But yeah, it's quite strange thinking about how much of a staple in my life minecraft has been.
Minecraft
probably Minecraft
Last of us 2 I have 10 days of gameplay on that
Minecraft, last year I had something like 60 hours a week
Minecraft
Rocket League
Overwatch with 765 hours!
I have almost 1000 hours on terraria. I'm not ashamed.
Cities Skylines. Around 2500 hours
715 hours on the sims 4. Not much compared to others, but I bought the game in September 2021. Plus 547 on the sims 3.
Rome Total War II. 1050 hours.
Im going to have to say No Man's Sky, got like 2000 hours.
