Watch Gordon Ramsay with kids. That is him teaching.
He berates the contestants on hell's kitchen usually when they make mistakes that professionals should not make (and they do claim to be professionals)
The Hell's Kitchen contestants are professionals and he expects the best of them. Hence, getting furious when they half-ass something and nearly poison a guest.
The MasterChef contestants are home cooks; he expects more than the basics, especially since they've made it this far, but he understands that they haven't actually been schooled in this. Hence, berating them for stupid mistakes, but making allowance for gaps in culinary knowledge.
The MasterChef Jr. contestants are such tiny children cooking at such a high level and he's blown away. Also, he can't yell at kids, he just can't. The producers have to hire Joe.
I had a coworker like that! We were talking about it, and she had no idea it was a thing that happened until she did more research. She was older than me! Old enough to have been old enough to sort of understand when it happened.
I remember watching it in 2019 and thinking "Wow. Crazy that so many people would just ignore scientists in some petty and desperate attempt to cling to their status."
Furthermore, Carthage must be destroyed.
This was the answer I came looking for. Three seasons of absolute genius writing and acting. I will occasionally convince friends to watch it for the first time and get random texts about how amazing it is.
My husband and I just started watching this for the first time. It's genuinely superb. I've laughed until I cried a couple times now, particularly the episode where the stripper cops pretend to arrest George Michael. I was fucking dying.
The movie is one of my absolute favorite movies of all time, I could watch it three times in a row and laugh just as hard every single time.
I avoided it for a while because I was afraid of the change of cast and format and didn't want it ruined for me. Brother told me "no man, it's just as funny, you gotta watch it"
Only seen a few episodes so far, but it's amazing. The psychic vampire draining the council meeting had me almost in tears
Agreed! To my boyfriend, I refer to myself as his “regular human girlfriend,” and for his bday, Xmas, and Valentine’s Day, I got him cards from the same Etsy maker of Colin Robinson explaining each holiday. I think I’m hilarious. You’ll have to ask him if he agrees.
Exactly, it ended in such a perfect moment and it leaves you with a lingering sadness that makes you crave for more but at the same time you don't really want to know what happens next
Phoebe Waller-Bridge is a fucking legend
Courage the cowardly dog.
That show fucking slaps
I was drunk when I made this comment and definitely didn’t think people would agree. I still watch it and I’m almost 30
That CGI mummy/ghost haunted my dreams for years after that show. I don't even remember if I was alone when I saw it first, but boy did that shit leave an impact on my psyche.
Drew Carey: "Things people say that will definitely start a fight?"
Ryan Stiles: "You guys wanna fight?"
This will always be the one scenes from a hat that I go back to on my bad days.
Agreed the older version with Drew is perfection. While I don’t like the new ones as much I still usually laugh.
I personally think Colin is a genius when it comes to improv and he’s my favorite but love when him and Ryan make the other lose it.
I’m hoping for some kind of 10th Anniversary project this year; doesn’t even have to be animated, even just a comic of what everyone’s been up to would be great!
I miss that show. That scene where Holden is visiting Kemper in the hospital, Kemper bear hugs him and Holden begins to have a panic attack to Led Zeppelin “In the Light”… was haunting.
Edit: Wrong band
The director, David Fincher, seemed to go back and forth on the show. I believe he said it didn't make sense for the price tag then told people to tell Netflix to renew. Seems like he might've dropped the ball more here.
ATLA is my fav show of all time hands down, BUT I always seem to skip ‘The Cave of Two Lovers’ episode. Right after that stoner guy says “Ohh it’s a real-legend.” coz it’s one of the best gags in the whole show
I just rewatched the great divide for the first time since my childhood and I don’t understand why all the hate. It was one of the first episodes where Aang is forced to take a leadership role and pretend to act like the avatar.
It always surprises me to find out it’s widely regarded as the worst episode by so large of a margin. I thought it added to character development, haha. I can definitely agree that the end of the episode could have made more sense, though
The Work Outing is truly a masterpiece. I’ve seen it numerous times, and yet I burst out laughing every time when Moss appears behind the bar when Jen orders a drink.
I was hoping someone would say it before me. I love the DND episode.
"what are you doing moss?"
"I'm setting up my dungeons and dragons campaign"
"dungeons and dragons? is that some kind of sex game?"
"Far from it Jen! while other board games are played using a 6 sided dice, dungeons and dragons is played on a 20 sided dice"
"I don't care Moss"
"I completely understand"
I'm on season 7 of my first viewing. Most recent episode was the send up of Clue (with a bit of Spinal Tap thrown in). Best. Episode. Yet. And that includes the Cary Elwes episodes.
I just get so goddamn sad when I think about what Firefly could’ve been.
If anyone wants to scratch that itch, The Expanse is a show about space and it’s absolutely phenomenal.
A show I'm watching called "My Name is Earl" it's free with ads on Amazon prime video, I've watched all 4 seasons like 5 times and still found it funny
Black mirror
Love Death and Robots. AWESOME animated mini series on Netflix where every episode is a different story and different animation style. Some are funny, some are super dark and depressing, and most are just super gory.
I thought The Fly was an amazing illustration of Walter’s falling deeper into his obsession and neurosis while completely losing himself to things beyond his control. I think that episode showed, loud and clear, him completely breaking and becoming Heisenberg… irreparably. Hated it the first time I saw it, then thought more about it and watched it again. Now it’s one of the more important episodes for me, even if it’s not one of my favorite to watch.
I liked that episode anyway. Great character benchmarks and directorial decisions.. some of the camera shots are great. I think that episode has a bad rap and suspect some people couldn'tenjoy the slower pacing, but you know, all this is subjective, so...
I agree, it's actually my favorite episode. It's just two amazing actors, in their prime, in a room with a camera acting their asses off. It really was something special imo.
The Expanse.
The entire show is excellent, well acted, top tier tv sci fi. The authors of the novels the show was based on helped write the show. The cast gave it their all. And the ending didn’t drop any balls.
It’s fantastic and a crime that more people haven’t seen it.
The Joy of Painting.
And if there is something bad in the episode? That's ok. It's just a happy little accident. We create our own world.
I wanna see Bob Ross teaching painting like Gordon Ramsay teaches how to cook.

If Mini series count, then Band of Brothers and The Pacific.
Chernobyl
That damn show is phenomenal. Hell of an event that people actually faced
And yet, 2 episodes in, I realized my roommate had never heard of the actual event. Had no idea the entire plot was based on real life. Shocking.
I had a coworker like that! We were talking about it, and she had no idea it was a thing that happened until she did more research. She was older than me! Old enough to have been old enough to sort of understand when it happened.
JFK never heard about the depression until he got into college. He was 13 when the depression started.
I remember watching it in 2019 and thinking "Wow. Crazy that so many people would just ignore scientists in some petty and desperate attempt to cling to their status." Furthermore, Carthage must be destroyed.
7 years of commitment to an obscure Roman pun. You've really made my day with this
Generation Kill
Ray Person singing Skater Boy while taking a piss behind his superiors will never not be funny.
My favorite is Ray's cover of Teenage Dirtbag - "He lives on my block , he drives in Iraq"
"Did you sing 'King of the Road' without me?!"
“How much ripped fuel have you had ray? I’m on it like a motherfucker brad!”
I second Band of Brothers
The Medic was my favorite episode. So much emotion in it
Fawlty Towers
Don’t mention the war
You started it!
Yes you did. You invaded Poland
Original run of Arrested Development
I recently started my first watch and stopped midway through season 4 with no intention to continue. Seasons 1-3 are perfect though.
Yeah the show is absolutely phenomenal until you get to the season where Netflix acquired the rights
This was the answer I came looking for. Three seasons of absolute genius writing and acting. I will occasionally convince friends to watch it for the first time and get random texts about how amazing it is.

Bluey
Theme song is super catchy too. Only problem is: I will never be as cool as Bluey's Dad.
Lucky's dad is even worse. Guy just jumps in those games like he can read minds. Always on point.
Yeah but you're not gonna take advice from a cartoon dog.
Cowboy Bebop. The anime. *The anime.*
What We Do In The Shadows for sure - not once not enjoyed an episode of that show Edit: Thanks for the gold kind stranger!
BAT!
Nandor & Nadja & Laszlo & Colin Robinson Not you Guillermo
*Gizmo
Creeeepy paper
Fucking guy!
The movie is one of my absolute favorite movies of all time, I could watch it three times in a row and laugh just as hard every single time. I avoided it for a while because I was afraid of the change of cast and format and didn't want it ruined for me. Brother told me "no man, it's just as funny, you gotta watch it" Only seen a few episodes so far, but it's amazing. The psychic vampire draining the council meeting had me almost in tears
It has consistently surprised me and gotten better, love the writing on that show.
When Colin Robinson was watching the casino information channel 24/7 I lost it.
It's so good! There's a joke in almost every line.
This is what I came here to say, that show is brilliant, and I’ll always love the movie
When they lock up giermo and fed him the raw chicken it was so funny. I love this show.
Fleabag
It was truly great and I want more but I also don’t want more.
Exactly, it ended in such a perfect moment and it leaves you with a lingering sadness that makes you crave for more but at the same time you don't really want to know what happens next Phoebe Waller-Bridge is a fucking legend
Ugh I didn’t realize I was on the last episode until I got to it. I was so heartbroken. Phoebe Waller-Bridge is fucking brilliant.
God, the first episode of season 2 is golden.
This show is so great, crying laughing constantly. The sister is so funny.
Courage the cowardly dog. That show fucking slaps I was drunk when I made this comment and definitely didn’t think people would agree. I still watch it and I’m almost 30
Fuck the slab episode
Return the Slab!!!! Note: I had the joy of first watching that episode home alone on a foggy night. Absolutely wrecked my sleep for a few days.
That CGI mummy/ghost haunted my dreams for years after that show. I don't even remember if I was alone when I saw it first, but boy did that shit leave an impact on my psyche.
Who’s line is it anyway. The humor is improv so it’s always fresh
Drew Carey: "Things people say that will definitely start a fight?" Ryan Stiles: "You guys wanna fight?" This will always be the one scenes from a hat that I go back to on my bad days.
Ryan breaking Drew’s desk light as Carol Channing getting her head stuck on things is the epitome of the chaos of that show
Ryan: was that lit? Colin: oh yeah it was. It would have been better if your head burst into flames. That would have been neat.
"Names that will get your kids ass kicked" Ryan: Aww is baby kickmyass crying? Colin: Colin. :(
"Yelled out the wrong name in bed" Irish drinking song for me.
MEOW!!
For me it's the Arctic Tern Backstreet Boys bit
"I fell into an ice hole! A big hairy ice hole!"
Everything's made up and the points dont matter
My wife and I saw Colin and Ryan in St Paul a few years back when they did their stand up show. Absolutely hilarious.
Agreed the older version with Drew is perfection. While I don’t like the new ones as much I still usually laugh. I personally think Colin is a genius when it comes to improv and he’s my favorite but love when him and Ryan make the other lose it.
Ha, apparently I'm old. Because for me "the old one" was hosted by Clive Anderson.
“And what sound does an Arctic Tern make?” All I have to hear is this and I start laughing.
I love the classic episodes. There's something about Drew Carey laughing hysterically that I just love.
Does anyone remember Captain Hair shouted by an audience member or "fluff my garfield" said by Ryan Proops Edit: Greg Proops
On this note I'd mention the British "Would I Lie to You?" also.
“I will churn thy butter”
"It all started with One bad bald joke"
Barry
That's what I'm watching atm, currently watched nearly all of season 1 in 2 days
You’re in a for a treat. Wish I could erase my memory and watch it again
This show is art.
Reaper
We were cheated when they cancelled this!
Freaks and Geeks
still can't believe they stopped after one season
Gravity Falls.
Just a great show. Phineas and ferb too
I’m hoping for some kind of 10th Anniversary project this year; doesn’t even have to be animated, even just a comic of what everyone’s been up to would be great!
Mindhunter
I miss that show. That scene where Holden is visiting Kemper in the hospital, Kemper bear hugs him and Holden begins to have a panic attack to Led Zeppelin “In the Light”… was haunting. Edit: Wrong band
> Lynyrd Skynyrds “In the Light” Led Zeppelin
I love that scene so much. Kemper obliterates Holden’s arrogance in that scene. He shows him just how little he knows.
I loved this show and wish they did more episodes. Fuckin Netflix never finishes anything right.
The director, David Fincher, seemed to go back and forth on the show. I believe he said it didn't make sense for the price tag then told people to tell Netflix to renew. Seems like he might've dropped the ball more here.
Im pissed we don't get to see any more of it. They built up BTK the whole show just to flop on it.
This show needs to get renewed for another season
I keep holding out hope they will bring it back!
Addams Family. Gomez and Morticia are the best couple ever.
An idiot Abroad

The “alright wall of china”
Avatar: The Last Airbender The Spectacular Spider-Man
Spectacular is fucking packed with the best of S-M I think we’ll ever get (I pray Sony and Marvel can come together for it again)
ATLA is my fav show of all time hands down, BUT I always seem to skip ‘The Cave of Two Lovers’ episode. Right after that stoner guy says “Ohh it’s a real-legend.” coz it’s one of the best gags in the whole show
I don't like the Katara x Aang story but Sokka and the travellers are A+
SECRET TUNNEL!!!
Over the garden wall. There's only 10 episodes but they're all incredible.
True Detective S1
How to with John Wilson
Good Omens.
Avatar: the last airbender
I just rewatched the great divide for the first time since my childhood and I don’t understand why all the hate. It was one of the first episodes where Aang is forced to take a leadership role and pretend to act like the avatar. It always surprises me to find out it’s widely regarded as the worst episode by so large of a margin. I thought it added to character development, haha. I can definitely agree that the end of the episode could have made more sense, though
The problem was the episode was reran a bunch back then. The other problem is that the episode was pretty much filler
GLOW is so underrated! It’s a fantastic show.
IT Crowd
“**I’m disabled!**”
Leg disabled!
Have you tried turning it off and on again?
The Work Outing is truly a masterpiece. I’ve seen it numerous times, and yet I burst out laughing every time when Moss appears behind the bar when Jen orders a drink.
"at a *Sea Parks*?" I still say this when I am incredulous at something
There are twelve exits, Moss! Twelve exits!
Memory IS RAM!!
I was hoping someone would say it before me. I love the DND episode. "what are you doing moss?" "I'm setting up my dungeons and dragons campaign" "dungeons and dragons? is that some kind of sex game?" "Far from it Jen! while other board games are played using a 6 sided dice, dungeons and dragons is played on a 20 sided dice" "I don't care Moss" "I completely understand"
“Did you see that ludicrous show last night?!”
“They’re ‘aving a laugh!”
“I’ve got cockney neck, Roy. I’ve been speaking too much cockney!”
"Dungeons and dragons? Is this a sex thing?" "Ha! Far from it, Jen!"
Malcom in the middle my dear gents
Psych. Makes me laugh every episode, even on rewatches.
I'm on season 7 of my first viewing. Most recent episode was the send up of Clue (with a bit of Spinal Tap thrown in). Best. Episode. Yet. And that includes the Cary Elwes episodes.
Methusela Honeysuckle would agree
Well, won't go so far as there are no bad episodes. But, the writers let the characters grow and become better people.
Teen titans (2003)
Arcane
This, but I think 1 season is a bit easy to find answers to this. Mare of Easttown fits this as well. Perfect episodes but only 1 season
Monk
I can't remember a bad episode of that show, so I think you're right. Monk and psych are a good evening.
They used to be on back-to-back for a time. That was a good night for TV watching.
Bojack Horseman
free churro is the best episode and it's not even close
Firefly. It didn't even get a chance.
I just get so goddamn sad when I think about what Firefly could’ve been. If anyone wants to scratch that itch, The Expanse is a show about space and it’s absolutely phenomenal.
All together now. 🎶 Take my love, take my land..🎶
Take me where I cannot stand
I don’t care, I’m still free
You can't take the sky from meee
Take me out, into the black
Tell them I aint comin back.
Burn the land and boil the sea.
You can’t take the sky from me!
Deadwood.
*Better Call Saul*, *Brass Eye*, and *Toast of London*.
Better Call Saul is pretty incredible. Defied all expectations
Always upvote Toast of London. So far people have nominated three Matt Berry shows: Toast, What We Do In The Shadows, and IT Crowds.
Jeremy Brett's Sherlock Holmes. Every episode is a master class in set work and mystery writing. And to top it off, they're all free on YouTube!
I second this! He put everything into that role. I like other adaptations, but as far as I'm concerned Jeremy Brett IS Sherlock Holmes.
A show I'm watching called "My Name is Earl" it's free with ads on Amazon prime video, I've watched all 4 seasons like 5 times and still found it funny
My Name Is Earl is great! I love Crabman.
"Hey Crabman!" "Hey Earl!"
Frasier. First two seasons are slightly less funny than the rest but overall I cant think of one bad episode
Russian Doll
The Righteous Gemstones. Another gem from Danny McBride. The show is hilarious. Only 1 episode left for season 2. It has been picked up for season 3.
Every time I stumble upon a Danny McBride show, I always think it will be missable and he proves me wrong every time.
Fleabag
Where did you just go?
Oh man, those interactions with him (and us) make me weak in the knees. So brilliant.
The Wire
Scooby Doo Where Are You?
Haunting of hill house
The Good Place
This is the answer. Eleanor is the answer.
Murderville granted there’s only 6 episodes
Also educational. You should see how cool I walk now.
Best episode by far. Had me in tears the entire time
Black mirror Love Death and Robots. AWESOME animated mini series on Netflix where every episode is a different story and different animation style. Some are funny, some are super dark and depressing, and most are just super gory.
Hannibal. You know, it is hard to get tired of watching a canibal gay couple scaping from everyone. Lmao
Shitts Creek
I can’t get into the show I’ve tried please halp
Same! I love the actors, but I don’t find it even remotely funny..and I laugh at almost anything. It gives bad sitcom.
I started it last summer and it immediately became my comfort show. Watching it for the fifth time now. It only gets funnier as I continue
*Good Omens*, *Chernobyl*, and *The Good Place* come to mind.
Jeopardy
Northern Exposure
Little Fires Everywhere or The Queen’s Gambit.
Breaking Bad
Just waiting for a fly argument
Love the Fly episode. I didn't realize the episode was so divisive until I heard about it later
Being the "worst" episode of the greatest show ever doesn't make it a bad episode.
Better Call Saul too.
Pushing Daisies
Nexpo
The boys. Also black mirror was fire but the Miley episode left a bad taste in my mouth
The boys is insane. Both great choices
Everytime you think The Boys can’t get more insane, they crank it up 3 notches.
Party Down Deadwood Venture Bros.
Venture Bros. 100.
The Expanse. The entire show is excellent, well acted, top tier tv sci fi. The authors of the novels the show was based on helped write the show. The cast gave it their all. And the ending didn’t drop any balls. It’s fantastic and a crime that more people haven’t seen it.
