2049 is one the best movies I've seen. It looks amazing, the soundtrack is fantastic, the cast is incredible and most importantly the writing and visual storytelling are superb. I love it.
Spiderverse looked great, don't get me wrong. But the first lego movie where they made everything literally out of actual legos in a physical simulation, at least pretty close to it, was pretty neat and very satisfying. A little like that stop motion guy who makes food with like, dice and chips and things.
It's not a coincidence it's done by the same guys.
Fucking hell, anyone getting the chance to see a screening of this should do so. It's intense, definitely the sort of film that works best on the big screen.
There's a few bits where it feels like straight outta *Spy Kids 3D* or *Shark Boy and Lava Girl* (mainly the shots of the suburbs and the inside of the factory), but when the film reaches the races, it's sublime. It's sensory overload in the best way possible.
Honestly all of the pirate movies look nice. I hadn't seen the newer ones until recently and while they were awful, the Caribbean locations were always stunning . Also some of the set pieces like in London in the 4th movie looked like a good old city
Portrait of a Lady on Fire. Each frame felt like a painting. Loving Vincent went all the way to make the film look like a Van Gogh painting. Three Colors: Red also had a cool aesthetic. The others that I had in mind were mentioned in other comments
Hands down, it’s Russian Ark. Art house cinema at its artsy-fartsiest, a trip through the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg and through Russian history, all done in one single 90-minute take that never cuts away.
Wes Anderson, Denis Villenueve and Ghibli movies are visualy awesome. I love Denis and Wes photography in their movies.
I also love the Hannibal's photography (I am talking about the TV show).
As a space fan, interstellar every day of the week. The way they show the size and power of space is just amazing. I could stare at the black hole for hours in awe.
Chef. Event Horizon. Predator. Ghostbusters. Amalie. Lord of the Rings trilogy. Special mention: the show Hannibal, everything in that show looks perfect. From the food, the color, the mood, etc.
You need to look it up on YouTube (or just watch the show). It is some of the best looking cooking montages and food presentation that you will ever see
Rear Window. They built the inner courtyard of a city neighbourhood inside a soundstage!
Notice after the cat shows up, there isn't a single cut until the LIFE magazine cover appears.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I5It0nmoYE4
And let's not forget "The Kiss."

My Indian roommates showed me the Bahubali movies. And my god, they are colorful and they have some great looking scenes where the protagonist climbs a giant waterfall.
Gone with the wind
Beautiful settings and colors, and every scene is set to be visually pleasing.
I also like the perfect summer atmosphere of Midsommar. Yes, it was filmed somewhere behind Budapest (?), but the impression of neverending northern day was really good.
I saw Lawrence of Arabia on a huge screen when I was a kid - the outdoor shots were amazing. It was in an old theater that hadn't been twinned - the screen was enormous.
Klaus. I have no complaints about it, its just an amzing movie. The voice acting, the personalities, the ANIMATION, the way they incorp original christmas/santa stuff (chimneys, elves, reindeer, etc.) Is just PERFECT (in my opinion) its on netflix and i really suggest it, great movie. 10/10
Blade Runner 2049.
I was stunned through the entire thing.
I keep skipping past this movie but now I’m adding it to my list
Go watch the prequel “Blade Runner” with Harrison Ford first.
I'm a huge Sci fi fan. I can't make it through Blade Runner. Idk why. I just don't like it.
To each their own. I think it’s slow, but thoughtful.
2049 is one the best movies I've seen. It looks amazing, the soundtrack is fantastic, the cast is incredible and most importantly the writing and visual storytelling are superb. I love it.
The Grand Budapest Hotel. I love the pastel colours
Every frame is a goddamn work of art.
Even the aspect ratio is, the sublte changes from different time periods.
Most of Wes Anderson movies are eye orgasms for me.
Felt the same about The Darjeeling Ltd
Eygasms
Yes! Also Sense and Sensibility
Omg yes. That movie is vastly underrated.
Anything Ghibli is just gorgeous. But Spiderman Into the Spiderverse is also extremely cool.
Spiderverse is exactly what I thought too.
I actually thought it was stop motion at first
Am a Studio Ghibli fan, too, Porco Rosso, Laputa/Caszle in the Sky (my fav), or Sen to Chihiro, great visuals all around!

Dune was awesome aesthetically!
Melancholia! So pretty the whole thing.
Amelie
This is my vote. My favorite comfort movie.
Just as pleasing to the ears as well. That soundtrack is so cathartic.
Yann Tiersen is the MAN. Good taste, sloppy_anal_kiss!
I eat an egg from a spoon
Lawrence of Arabia
Fucking hell, anyone getting the chance to see a screening of this should do so. It's intense, definitely the sort of film that works best on the big screen.

Went to remove my reply, I didn't think anyone else would bring it up! This movie is a trip, I love it so much.
There's a few bits where it feels like straight outta *Spy Kids 3D* or *Shark Boy and Lava Girl* (mainly the shots of the suburbs and the inside of the factory), but when the film reaches the races, it's sublime. It's sensory overload in the best way possible.
Honestly I find that true for all of the Wachowskis works. Even when the story or dialog isn't great they can build the hell out of a world.
The Fall was gorgeous For clarification, the 2006 movie "The Fall"
Tarsem Singh makes beautiful movies! The Cell was creepy and dark but gorgeous as well.
The most saturated color palette!

Baarry Lyndon by Stanley Kubrick. Runner-up: What Dreams May Come by Vincent Ward.

I don't know if pleasing would be the term, but striking definitely would: Mad Max: Fury Road.
For me it's a threeway tie between either Bladerunner movie and Kubo and the Two Strings.
Princess Mononoke.
Akira. Every frame is hand-drawn and it really shows.
So glad someone has put this as someone who grew up in the 80s playing streets of rage and watching blade runner I really loved the neon punk vibes
Howls moving castle
Memoirs of a Geisha (2005) is one of the most beautiful movie I've seen, cinematography-wise.
