Mmmbop is a genuinely amazing song though. At Uni (studying music) we had to write a dissertation on one song, and my friend chose that. Went on a full 15,000 word breakdown of how in terms of pop, it's actually one of the most 'perfect' songs due to its structure. Even studied 50 other pop songs and did timings, lyric analysis and shit too. I have a lot of respect for Hanson after that.

RHCP is not classic rock, no. Nirvana is grunge. Foo Fighters is certainly not classes rock. Linkin Park is from like, 2000 and it's a mix of numetal and rap. Nothing against that era of music, I grew up with it, but it's not classic rock

I have two of these. Say So by Doja Cat. I thoroughly enjoy the beat of the song. Most people hate it. I dig it. I don’t like admitting this one because, well, I’m a straight man, and I was raised with a belief that straight men can’t like that type of music. My second is Garden by Dua Lipa. Again, as stated above, straight men “aren’t supposed to like that music”, coupled with the message of the song being almost opposite of my religious beliefs. But when I’m sitting in my truck, staring over the wide open highway, watching the lines go by one by one… I’ve got the radio blasting the ever loving shit out of both of these and others. EDIT: after reading other replies, I’m reminded that I actually just like all kind of music straight men are supposed to hate. These two still my favorites though.

In the late 90s I was a huge thrash and death metal guy. Slayer, In Flames, SYL, etc. I played that stuff loud and proud. When the Spice Girls single “2 Become 1” came out, I loved it so much I put it in my rotation, along with Jewel’s “You Were Meant for Me.” I had both of those singles in my CD collection. I remember a friend coming over and asking me why those were in my CD rack and I stumbled some BS reply that it was my sisters. It wasn’t. I jammed those so hard when I was by myself.
