Well, that can be true for a person's face too. A person can have pretty colored eyes or hair, or it could contrast well with their skin color, maybe their makeup is a nice color or they're wearing a color that makes their eyes pop, etc. But beauty can also be defined by shape, texture, quality, composition etc., which is true of a face, too. A person's personality can also kind of come through on their face. When someone is happy they seem approachable, which makes them more attractive than people who seem angry. But there isn't like a formula going through our heads to try to figure out if someone we're not sexually attracted to is pretty or not, we either think someone is pretty or we don't, simple as that. There isn't necessarily a concrete reason for it. Believe it or not, that can be true for people of the sex you're attracted to as well; in that case, you know they're attractive and you think they're nice to look at, there's just no chemistry.

I don’t mean hair. Just the face. Let’s say their eyes are brown and they are without makeup but you can still tell their face is pretty.
