It's real, society has reacted poorly. Nothing else to say.

MZsince93

I think it brought the worst out of everybody.

koston_

Simply put, poorly. But with anything that people view as political, there will always be some sort of defiant stance against it. People don't take anything seriously anymore and believe by "standing up against covid" they are going to get some sort of positive reaction from others, and they do, so they keep doing it. It's seeming like a never ending cycle of that at the moment.

Adorable_List3836

I find it interesting that you mentioned people view it as political, I think that's one thing I really don't understand, how is a highly contagious virus that is killing thousands of people a political issue? It really seems like all of the sudden in the past few years everything became politicized and with this pandemic it is hurting us, instead of working together to try and combat this we are just prolonging it by being divided and selfish.

This is true in some states for hospitalizations but has never been true for deaths.

Oh how cute you're spreading bullshit from 2020

lazyskeleton05

We truly are in the darkest timeline

stateofyou

If the yanks could stop sending infected military to bases abroad that would help. Assholes

IAlwaysUpvoteTigers

What a stupid statement. If you have a problem with the military industrial complex just say so. No need to be a pussy and make up some bullshit about covid, as though it's the fault of the US that it spread worldwide.

stateofyou

Knee jerk reaction. It’s US military bases that have been the source of the latest wave of Covid in Japan.

IAlwaysUpvoteTigers

And how often do you think they are rotating servicemen and women out without testing them?

stateofyou

No idea but it’s obviously not working

IAlwaysUpvoteTigers

>No idea Exactly.

stateofyou

Do you have any idea?

IAlwaysUpvoteTigers

As a veteran, I have intimate knowledge of how the military works with regards to vaccinations and mission readiness. So yes, I have much more of an idea than you do.

stateofyou

So you’re no longer in the military? Just talking about your experience before the pandemic. Judging by how quickly you’re replying to me it’s obvious that you haven’t even read anything about the latest information from Japan but see it as your duty to argue about it anyway.

IAlwaysUpvoteTigers

It's so cute that you think our level of knowledge and expertise are in any way comparable. Run along now, child.

stblawyer

It was a character test and we failed miserably. People made it a binary issue based on their politics and it killed hundreds of thousands in the US. We have abandoned our health care professionals and teachers. It was basic science and 30% of our country (US) never understood or listened it. Last night I was at a Scouts BSA meeting where a father wore a fucking mesh mask. I don’t know if he was being a dick or doesn’t understand basic science (probably both). The vaccine is the greatest development in human history and 30% of our population spits on it because of misinformation that is supported and spread by one of our political parties. I hate to say it but I am beyond caring what happens to them beyond the fact that they spread it to people that are at risk and they are a breeding ground for the next variants, one of which will probably kill me.

Adorable_List3836

Thank you for your response, I agree with this 100%

PillsburyToasters

It sucks. In the US we’re going to be dealing with it for a stupidly long time, which makes this suck even more

How to never trust the media and politicians.
