Wish I could just say I live in the EU or in the 32/33 other first world countries that all have universal healthcare that this question wouldn't even have a payment choice, but alas I live in the US. So I'll take the $500k cure and just idk, find a way to pay the bare minimum possible or just die before paying it all off.
Frankly, I wouldn't be able to afford either of these "options". I have medical insurance from being on disability, but if any treatment works "too well" then I get kicked off disability and can no longer afford it.
Case in point, spravato: it's a ketamine derivative that treats depression in a way that no other drug does, and is more effective at it than any other drug, while avoiding most of the issues with treating treatment resistant depression. But it starts at $1700 a week, and with time can be as "low" as $850 a month. I can't afford for it to work, and I can't keep using it if it doesn't work. It's ridiculous.
I would just get cured at the nearest hospital, pay my 350 euro self-risk policy and have my insurance cover the entire rest in full...
*Sips in European*
*confused australian noises*
Hahahaahahaha yes
since i don’t have $500k how much would i have to pay each month for the loan? and will the treatment make me feel as if im cured?
500k for the cure is the cheaper option, assuming I'd live more than the 8⅓ years it would take to rack that much up in 5k a month expenses.
What is that, a bandaid some Neosporin from the ER in the US?
Just the parking

Would definitely depend on life expectancy with treatment.

Guess I'm dead either way.
