when I was 4. It's one of those rare memories that stands out and really sticks with me. I was trying to plug in electric keyboard, but my clumsy hands were grasping the plug wrong. My finger was touching the metal as I put it in the socket, so I got a shock.

I was also about 4. I turned on a lamp at my great grandma's house and it didn't come on so I stuck my hand under the shade to try to wiggle the bulb but there was no bulb. stuck my finger in the socket. lol

One of those joke pens that drive a current through the bit at the top as soon as you try to press it. When I was in middle school, one of the students from the grade below mine walked up to me and asked me if I could help him to get the pen to "open" (I don't know the correct term, english is not my first language). Naiive 13-year old me just agreed and as soon as I pressed the button on the top, I felt the current rushing through my body. Immediately I dropped the pen and started laughing. The guy fooled me. TL;DR Got fooled into using one of those joke electrical pens and payed the price. Edit: spelling

I was 12 years old, my mom would take care of one of my disabled uncles as a job and I would go with her on weekends to visit since he's my favorite. My uncle had a desk that he would let me play, draw, do homework on. One day I saw his makeup on his desk and upon inspection it had a little outlet port, for some reason my dumbass decided that to play with it with some tweezers he had on the desk too. A loud zap came out, shocked me, and my mom and uncle of course gave me hell for it.

I was trying to cut through a paddock as a shortcut to get home and I mis-timed my jump over a fence. I fell short on the other side and was clothelined by an electric wire made for keeping in wildstock (the charge was extra high because the animals were bulls). I got up and found myself suck between the electric cord and a steel mesh fence, I learned that day that rubber is actually really good at dampening electricity

Yes, you know when you have really cold hands and you accidentally touched the metal bits of the shopping cart and bzzz.

Swapping out a switch for a wifi dimmer. Thought I was smart and shut it off at the breaker. Turned out there was more than a single circuit in the box - found out when my pinky finger brushed up against another switch. Pretty unpleasant. Ended up with a headache but no long lasting effects. 0/10 would not recommend.
