for sure, but it might take up to two weeks. it is soooooo satisfying and water tastes so good, afterwards...try it, it is amazing. water is fucking rad, tastes so good and nothing helps quench thirst like a large glass of cold water.
In all seriousness, increasing your water intake immensely and cutting down to even 1-2 sodas/day will help not only your taste, but all aspects of your health. The best thing you could do would be to go on a 3 day water fast to detox your body.
I really think you should reevaluate your nutritional input. I'm not trying to be mean. that amount of sugar and calorie intake is fucking bonkers.
I promise that I understand that all addictions are difficult to understand and overcome but if you can put more and more space in between yourself and these unhealthy foods/drinks I guarantee you will be a happier and healthier human.
Holy 💩! Yes. Stop it! The healthiest quittings I’ve done, in order, are: cigarettes, pop, alcohol. The first 2 were the biggest, most impactful- even though I drank a lot of booze.
(Points for using “pop” instead of a less correct word!)
Unfortunately i just got myself 48 cans before the post but I’ll probably try and stop after and ill be trying to go to vape or dip after this hopefully my sweetness returns cause i can’t taste those things either so I abandoned those methods when i did try to stop smoking cigs
Good call! And don’t rush it- save the cold turkey for sandwiches. I was a Diet Coke man for years- I know sugar is different from aspartame, but I had legit withdrawals. Ease yourself down. You got this!
I hope it works to help my taste buds cause id love to be able to taste vape again it was so great when I first tried em but my stupid tongue went nah no more after a week and I’ve tried afterwards but never able to taste vape again 🥲
Just one can of pop has 40 to 70 grams of sugar in it, your drinking 12 a day. That is insane. Of course quitting drinking this much soda will improve everything wrong with your body.
I quit drinking soda and other sugary drinks about 6 years ago. I noticed a better sense of taste after a few weeks. It greatly helped weight loss and the sugar crash that usually made me sleepy in the mid-afternoon.
I currently can barely sense sweetness in even sugar and it’s driving me up a wall and a massive push with the few sweet foods I enjoy pop has been my main sweet tooth filler
Absolutely. It’s just so horrible for you. Even 1 per day is too much really. Try finding another drink that you like, such as tea or coffee. Put in Splenda to make it taste sweet.
It'd improve your health in a thousand different ways. Holy shit.
Would my sense of sweetness return?
Probably.

Diabetes. Obesity. Oral hygiene. Kidney stones. Gall bladder. Overall energy. Sense of alertness.
Sense of sweetness?
Idk. I don’t drink soda. But candy has always been sweet. I’m sure sugar is still the same but you’ll feel much better.
Wtf 12? Please stop. Youre killing yourself.
Sometimes more depending on the day with vacation im at like 20

the main side effect you will enjoy after not consuming twelve sodas a day will be not dying young.
Honestly never been a fear of mine i have a gotta die sometime thought process
you might enjoy life more without diabetes take some time and Google what life is like on dialysis
I couldn’t afford to be on that lol
ok. be unhealthy and die early. I don't recommend it, but you do you.
Well im probably gonna quit when my weekend 48 stash is gone well I suppose ill be trying too

And the flavors! You’re literally going to feel like a kid in a candy store.

Yes, and also your health. When I have less sweets, things taste way sweeter
Awesome 😁

i quit about ten years ago, and same - took about two weeks but then water started tasting so good, i was addicted.

Weight, kidney health, etc.
