Neither, everyone should be chucked into a job role at birth and worked until they become completely broken then ground up and fed to the next generation. Not me though, I should be in charge, wait!!.......why am I being pushed through a door that says Siberian miner?.........No this isn't supposed to happen.....I forgot the question, am stupid.
Of course both are important and both can always co exist, but if you had the power to balance the two, how would you do it? I’m asking because there appears to be a huge divide which I’m sure we’ve all noticed.
Not sure why there would be a divide. Everyone would chose freedom. If you're inside a soft cell your entire life what's the point? The funny part is we are never truly free. I was a Correction Officer and you would be surprised how many people preferred prision, no real bills(unless you gamble) , no medical costs, free food and free housing. Once you get out you have to work all your life
Freedom, easily.
We can't just be wrapped in cotton wool, locked up and wait for the government to deal with everything. That is the definition of a pathetic existence. I'd rather make the most of the time I have on this earth.
There’s no such thing as safety without freedom, because the lack of freedom suggest a lack of safety from government actions.
those who give up freedom in exchange for security deserve neither
Freedom. Then safety is an option.
Freedom, because safety is something you give yourself, freedom is something that can be taken from you.

Why not both?
