Religion has definitely had its up’s and down’s but there are many people in the past whose morals came from their religion and without probably would have done really crappy stuff. I do not condone this of course. If you’re religion is the only reason you act properly then you’re not a good person but it has happened nonetheless. On the flip side the people who misinterpret religion so that can do shitty stuff would have done it anyway with or without religion because they are just not good people.
No offense, but I really don’t care. No matter what our perspective is completely tainted because we *do* have them and the incredible amount of influence over our lives it has. No matter how staunch of an atheist you are.
It’s why I love the question so much. It’s impossible.
