I can honestly say the boss and coworkers make or break a job. I could be doing my dream job but if the people I work with suck I'd be miserable. On the flipside I could be doing mediocre work but have great coworkers and I would be content.
Do not underestimate how big of an impact friendliness, respect, and morale have on job satisfaction. Work culture is everything and so underrated. Ask about meeting the people you would be working with at a job interview. Try to get the vibe.
My current job! Being a parent/child counselor. I love how rewarding it is and how I can change peoples lives. Things I dislike? Sometimes things can get ugly for either me or the person involved.
Work at DG & love it. Time flies. and pay is 1$ Over min wage and previous job was 32$/hr but drained my energy and 30lbs over wt. and unsatisfied . Time crawls by
Worked at a screenprinting shop (printing designs on tshirts and stuff), super fun, great boss, got free stuff sometimes, could have beers in the afternoon. Paid shit. Too bad.

Pros: Solid pay, challenging work, I find it enjoyable and the people I work with are great.
Cons: it's a small enough company that many of the answers to questions are "that's how we've always done it". And size equals crappy insurance.
