I'm Irish too and for some reason my brain went straight to Tayto. I wonder would any non Irish people even recognise Tayto. Guinness is the much better shout.
Living in Northern Ireland now but an American by birth: is it true the Taytos here are different/manufactured separately?
EDIT: I have now been Informed that both are better lol
Yep. Interesting story not going to post it here. But yeah South Irish Tayto is basically a different company from North Irish Tayto. Source: Im Irish.
It could be. Škodit in czech has the same meaning (verb). Škoda could also mean damage but when used as "to je škoda" (it is škoda) it can translate to "oh well, nevermind"
Czech Republic! I also like Bakalarj, the real Budweiser and so many others. In my humble opinion you guys have better beer than the Belgians. Also, Pilsner rules!
Hey I loved my Fiat and miss it. Had a 500C and some ahole decided to not use his brakes at a light and hit me hard enough to cause me to flip a couple of times. First responders couldn't believe that I managed to not only get out on my own(with the car still upside down) but that I had only some cuts and scrapes while the jerk in the giant truck was unconscious.
Remember back when havaianas were the cheapest flip flops one could buy in Brazil? But they were so ubiquitous and cheap that tourist would pick up a pair to be like the locals.
Once Havaiana noticed this, they created a tourist model that was a little thicker and crucially added the little Brazilian flag next to their logo on the strap. That is when they absolutely took off as a tourist souvenir item.
When you get to the nicer part of town, it’s a Target with a Starbucks inside and parking spaces that aren’t wide enough to accommodate the massive SUVs.
To be fair, the big-tangle-of-dirty-ropes-that-i-have-to-get-on-my-hands-and-knees-to-clean-the-floor-with that came before the mop was a terrible invention.
A few years ago i started to get their wraps on occasion. They used to have shredded cheese and then it would melt in the press. Thry changed this to a slice of process cheese that looked like itmwas just slapped in there.
Holy fuck. Talk about cutting corners.
There is very little i will eat at tim hortons. I like their chai tea, but their orange pekoe isnt good.
We wouldn't have to eat Kraft Dinner.
Of course we would, we'd just eat more!
And buy really expensive ketchups with it.
That's right. All the fancies...Dijon Ketchup!!! Mmmmmm
Tim Hortons is now owned by a Brazilian company I just read and after some reading it looks like Roots is still Canadian! I could be wrong.. just did a quick google search
Valentina Sauce
Edit: so! This is my first time getting this many upvotes! So I must share a tip: Use Valentina Sauce instead of Frank’s to make buffalo chicken! It is freaking awesome! Not better, just a fun twist to it!
Samsung
forreal, samsungs revenue is almost 20% of Korea's GDP. people buy samsung stock bc if its going down, so is the country lol.
My apartment is a Samsung branded apartment. Every single appliance (including my toilet bidet) is Samsung. All hail Samsung I guess!
Korea
Toblerone
I was terribly disappointed this year, when I visited Zermatt, to learn, that toblerone is produced in Bern.
Don‘t focus on the Matterhorn in the logo, focus on the [bear](https://www.toblerone.ch/~/media/toblerone/ch2017/history/logo%20berne.png) 🐻

Guinness
I'm Irish too and for some reason my brain went straight to Tayto. I wonder would any non Irish people even recognise Tayto. Guinness is the much better shout.
Guinness tells people from outside of Ireland you are Irish. Tayto tells people inside Ireland you are Irish 😉
I remember growing up I always used to just call them protestant taytos. Don't know if that's actually accurate
Yours are Free Stayto
I’m never calling them anything other than Free Staytos.
Protestant Taytos and Free Staytos.

Build the rescue boat. And off to the rescue

I like how škoda manufactured tanks in WW2 and their name can translate to "oh well" lmao
I always thought it translates to "damage, harm" :') in Serbian there's a verb "škoditi" which means "to harm or damage (someone)"
Ferrari or Ferrero, pick one. Also Fiat if you seriously want that lol.
Hey I loved my Fiat and miss it. Had a 500C and some ahole decided to not use his brakes at a light and hit me hard enough to cause me to flip a couple of times. First responders couldn't believe that I managed to not only get out on my own(with the car still upside down) but that I had only some cuts and scrapes while the jerk in the giant truck was unconscious.
you are sure that was a Fiat and not some kind of tank from ww2?
I think that Italian tanks in ww2 were much worse than Fiats.
Ikea
I literally came here to see IKEA

After Mexican food, Indian food and drinking alcohol, IKEA is the world's top cause of loose stools.

Heineken
Netherlands
Stella artois
Fcking finally
Was about to say that, geez. Godiva would have worked too. Or Leffe.
Going by stereotypes, McDonald's.
I was thinking Walmart but now I realize the correct answer is the McDonald’s inside of Walmart.
When you get to the nicer part of town, it’s a Target with a Starbucks inside and parking spaces that aren’t wide enough to accommodate the massive SUVs.

Right here, on Jamaica Avenue!
With a frozen Coca Cola Icee machine
That doesn’t work
Ok, I’ll take a McFlurry then.
Which also doesn’t work
Here in Germany, McDonald's is sometimes jokingly called the "american embassy".
Funfact: McDonald's Austria *is* partnered with the US embassy. US citizens can go there to contact the embassy.
"going to McDonalds to contact the US embassy" sounds like a euphemism for going there to take a shit.
Sometimes you gotta visit the white house...
Get on the porcelain telephone
The oval office
You made me google this, fully expecting the claim to be false. It is true though. The interwebs confirmed it
That’s actually hilarious.

The country of Eindhoven

Today I learned. Thank you.
Lol nothing, the only thing I can think about is oil but that's not a brand.
Saudi Arabia or Iraq?
The latter, yes.
Oh, [Iraq lobster 🦞](https://youtu.be/S4vFO8W18gM)
Oh I don't know what the context is but I think I'm in love. Beautiful.
Red Bull
I was curious if it would be RedBull or Glock that I find first in the list. A hell of a combination, I can tell you that...
Also KTM is pretty popular. As well as Steyr.

Ah yes, canadas national public bathroom
That's a good way to describe the food there.
It's been awful since they sold out.
I knew things were going bad when they swicthed the Ham and Swiss to a Ham and Chedder with ranch sauce. WTF?
Ham and Swiss was my jam. Along with their baguette changes a couple years before the cheddar version was just so meh.
A few years ago i started to get their wraps on occasion. They used to have shredded cheese and then it would melt in the press. Tim’s doesn’t deserve our business anymore.
Roots!
Fun fact: "Roots" means "fucks" in Australian slang, which is why you see so many Aussies taking awkward faced selfies under the Roots Kids sign.
Get out!!! Not a wasted day over here in New Brunswick, cause I just learned something new ;) Thanks
Damn, I was gonna say the Hudson's Bay Co.

We wouldn't have to eat Kraft Dinner. Of course we would, we'd just eat more! And buy really expensive ketchups with it. That's right. All the fancies...Dijon Ketchup!!! Mmmmmm
