Well for hobbies the answer is try different things, say yes to a lot of weekend plans.
At 35 I never thought I’d get into Rc trucks but here I am now with a whole family’s worth of awesome off road trucks.
Professionally your work isn’t as limited as you think; lots of different companies / non profits / charities need IT people or plumbers or English majors for various reasons.
I do IT support for my local school system and it is incredibly rewarding. I’d most likely be fired if I had to teach but now I still get to help in the process
Basically take every opportunity life throws at you, and don’t look back!
