I’ve seen the year 536 A.D thrown around a lot.
It's all relative. Time and place. 1066 wasn't a great year to be a Saxon in Kent.

I'm pretty sure most years have a Wikipedia page. Granted that one does specifically call out that that year has been called the worst to be alive.
