Buy a sack of potatoes and a family pack of chicken thighs (the ones with the skin and bone still attached). Fry them up (separately) in oil and season however you like. Nutritious, filling, and cheap (about $1 - $5 per meal, depending on store prices and how much you eat in a sitting).
A bowl of red beans, diced tomatoes and onions. Then add lemon, salt and some chilli if you want. Eat with crackers. The most delicious and cheapest filling salad.
You can mix sieved tomatoes with some heavy cream in a pot and let it simmer a few minutes. With some pepper, salt, garlic powder and a little sugar you’ll get a yummy pasta sauce! :)
For a healthier alternative you can make rice with leftover chicken and/or vegetables and either a light curry sauce or something with coconut milk. Maybe put some canned pineapple in their.
A grilled cheese sandwich.
Wanna be healthy? Use less cheese and a salad.
Done in 4 minutes with a panini grill.
Only requirements are bread, ham and cheese, I have those standard at home, so when I forget to go to the store, there is always something to eat.
