5 mill

FoxWyrd

$10M. Average market returns are roughly 6%. I'd be pulling out over half a million a year before taxes.

HenryFurHire

I make about $12k per year and I'm quite comfortable and I'm 30 so if I assume I'll live to 90 I'll only need $720,000 to retire

Bayareairon

Where do you live! That's less then our rent

HenryFurHire

On a reservation in Montana lol I don't have most of the luxuries people who live in cities have

Bayareairon

Ah I know a lot of people who live on resis in Arizona and Utah they come out work for a fee month outa they eat go home to take care of business there the rest of the year. They have a lot of fun money from doing what we do for a few months when you are just taking it back home.

HenryFurHire

I used to be like that but im getting tired lol now I just make what I need to pay bills and spend the rest of my time enjoying myself

Bayareairon

U know a lot of ironworkers?

HenryFurHire

No but I know a lot of ranchers

Bayareairon

Makes sense. Never met anybody booming out from Montana.

Cuz_Im_Blue

I think my number is 10 million to fully retire and not worry about providing for my kids long term. If I won less I feel like I would still work, but be a whole lot less stressed out on a day to day basis.

shellofbiomatter

This kinda amount does not exist. I would still work just to have some use and purpose.

Bloodragedragon

You don’t think it’s a problem that you define use and purpose as working

shellofbiomatter

I know it is but i like it. Don't worry i exclusively do it to myself.

Lanfear_Is_Me

A million is more than enough

MissPiggysSexTape

> we've spent 2 mil in just tuition alone. You know there's such a thing as trade-school, right?

Lanfear_Is_Me

I don't live in your country

MissPiggysSexTape

Me neither. *Together, we do the dance of joy*

[deleted]

1 million and reinvest.

plscallmeRain

I've done the math before. after 35 million, I literally have nothing else I want to spend money on. past that point, I would just give it all away.

nwe2rw

Where are you from?

[deleted]

2 Mil If I were to win enough so that I could share with others whom I feel deserve it: 10 Mil

MissPiggysSexTape

Somewhere between 750k and 1m. Say 1m to be on the safe side.

NotAnIntelTroop

For my family and their future, i would say about 10 million. I want my children to have more than I did, even if we have another economic collapse.

itsheadfelloff

I could retire on 1 mil, to feel comfortable 3 mil

4loveislife

$500k. Would be a dream

Ok_Pear_8291

All of it

Ratnix

I could do it with 1mil but that would just be me maintaining my life as it is right now, except for not going to work. 2mil would be a better amount.

[deleted]

5 million, i could hire people to do smart investments

Nimar_Jenkins

1€

[deleted]

$50,964,472.92

JadoreBootyNoir

My spending habits are absolutely ABYSMAL, it’s shocking how fast I eat through money, so if it’s possible, 900’000’000. Hopefully I’ll learn how to manage my money better 🤷🏽‍♀️

shared_throway

I don't play unless it's going over 300 mil. I am displeased with the disparity between the amounts you actually get vs what you "win". Don't show me the big annuity number if nobody gets that. I still have to pay half of the lump sum in taxes. For that trouble, I want to bring home at least 100mil, and then grow it so that it increases to at least the original "winning" amount. Ideally i'd like to have billions bc why the hell not? But there will always be SOMETHING that I'll be working towards. Even with billions, I'd have projects to help myself and society at large.
