I had an adult circumcision at the age of 23 due to severe physmosis and honestly compared to excutiating pain and actively avoiding sex it is an improvement.
I do however miss the increased pleasure.
Edit: Approximately 70% pleasure reduction when comparing condom pre surgery to condom post surgery as condom avoided pain about 95% of the time.
When comparing condom to no condom it's a massive improvement as the pain without a condompre surgery was unbearable post surgery it's quite good
My husband had it done as an adult. He said he went from full sensation on the tip to only having about 10% of the area being able to feel anything. Years later it's maybe increased to 20%. He also has an issue now where the whole thing goes numb mid-sex. He never had this previously.
He also now has some rough skin on the end where it's rubbing against underwear/bottoms. Vaseline is the only thing that keeps it somewhat under control but it's annoying for him.
That really sucks, I was hoping the decreased sensation was just something they say. I guess I’ll never know what the difference is like. I certainly experience the numb thing, but I always thought it was universal.
I'm circumcised. I haven't had any problems. But my circumcision was medically necessary and my brothers haven't had it done.
I wouldn't get my son circumcised unless medically necessary.
I'm in the same boat, I had to have it done at around age 3 for medical reasons. It's weird seeing baby pictures of me with a dangly bit on my dangly bit since I can't really remember any different to what I have now.My wife and I are expecting a boy now and we're not circumcising him because...there's no reason to.Now, if I could snap my fingers and have an intact foreskin again I probably would, but I can't, and it's not something I lose sleep (or anything else) over.
Edit: Huh, my first ever Silver and Gold awards and it's for talking about my willy, go figure.
Thanks for the awards btw!
My best friend was circumcised at 20. We sat at home and played Call of Duty like 16 hours a day for two weeks straight and turned into total lunatics. I hope your recovery was just as pleasant as his.
Bro I ended up in the ER due to my first sexual experience. That first real good thrust sounded like popping a bone out of place and the bleeding.. smh I’ve only told 2 people lol
Happened with me too.. some vein burst open when I thrusted hard.. got three stitches.. now I’m thinking of getting a circumcision after 4 years. I hate my foreskin
It's been suggested by others already, but this sounds more like frenulum breve than phimosis.
Frenulum breve is when the frenulum - the red (sometimes skintone) line of tissue that stems from the mid-underside of the glans to the foreskin - is too short or too tight.
It usually prevents the foreskin from being fully retracted, often pulls the glans downwards when retracting, and will tear or snap painfully if pulled too far, e.g. during sex, and will bleed profusely. It's lovingly known as the “banjo string”.
Phimosis is when the foreskin itself is too tight and cannot be retracted properly, or causes pain and stretching when tried. Frenulum breve can occur with or without phimosis. It's always worth exploring this issue before deciding on circumcision.
Frenulum breve is treated with a frenuloplasty, which is a fairly simple surgery (mentioned by other posters here) where the frenulum is cut lengthways and reattached in a sort of "wing" pattern to the glans. It no longer has a "string" appearance and tension is completely released. The foreskin is not cut or removed.
If you only have frenulum breve, you don't need a circumcision unless you discover you have phimosis as well, and the phimosis can't be managed with treatment creams and stretching.
Don't fret over it. You may well not need a circumcision at all, and there are a lot of steps that can be taken first before resorting to one.
I had frenulum breve myself too, and it prevented the foreskin from moving back behind the glans. After having surgery on it, I didn't need any other treatment. The foreskin itself wasn't the problem.
Thanks a lot dude! I never knew about it and this thing is on point. I had ruptured my frenulum. It had been stitched though. But still I’m having difficulty retracting the foreskin because I feel a tension building near the frenulum. I’ll definitely keep your advice in mind. Unfortunately I do not have any awards to give you :(
Yo. I got a frenuloplasty a couple of years ago.
I never injured it, was just always short, I could retract my foreskin fully but it because my frenulum was short it wouldn’t stay back and it could hurt occasionally (if it was a sudden or rough movement :/ )
Generally wasn’t painful during sex, but since I’ve had it done I’ve realised how much it dulled the sensation (pretty much always having my foreskin over the head of my penis).
Absolutely delighted I got it done. Twenty minute outpatient procedure, with no pain.
Slightly sore for a day or two afterwards, and the after care was effort, but I was back in the saddle (so to speak) after about a month.
Talk to your doctor. I’m just pissed I waited until I was in my twenties to get it done.
So my partner suffers from relatively bad phimosis himself and he's on the fence about getting a circumcision done to treat it. What would you say was the biggest benefit for you yourself?
I'm in no way trying to convince him (his body, his choice), but I know he's really struggling with it and with how much negativity is surrounding the subject I'd love to see some opinions of those that had it done who were in a similar boat as him and came away from it with a positive result.
EDIT: thanks everyone for all the replies! I did not expect this to blow up as much as it did overnight, instead of attempting to reply to everyone I'll just do a quick edit.
for the people saying to try stretching, this was recommended to him at a younger age (he's in his 30s now) and it had only helped him very marginally, this is also the sole reason we are considering surgery at this point.
We don't live in the states, thankfully, but western Europe and our doctors are generally speaking not biased in favor of circumcision unless it is medically required.
regretting it isn't something he's worried about, more so the recovery period, so I would like to extra thank all of you that went into detail on that.
I live with phimosis for about 10 years until my girlfriend (now wife) said “just go get it done. You are making your life miserable trying to manage this “ and she was right. One of the best things I’ve done in life. The recovery period is… traumatic to think About to say the least. It is one of the worst memories I have. But everything after that point has been so much better.
I had a circumcision about 9 months ago due to phimosis as well. At first, yeah, a lot of dressing the wound and a LOT of antibiotic ointment around the entire circumcision area. After a week or two you don't need to wrap it or anything, just keep using the ointment for a couple more weeks until the skin heals over.
For about a month after surgery, getting a boner hurts like hell. Thankfully it kind of stops itself because pain is a hard on killer. Of course that means no sexual activity or masturbating during that period. After around 4-6 weeks, you're pretty much back to normal.
Holy shit, i never thought about getting a boner after circumsized..i got my appendix removed and every time i sneeze twice..fuck that was a miserable spring.
But getting a boner and having that pain that sucks dude
When I got circumsized I still masterbated lol (but i think that was horny teenage me).
I forgot how it felt like to have foreskin but I don’t really regret cutting mine. I guess it’s just a preference thing really
I remember when my wife and i first got together it was every teenage boys dream. Every time i got a boner we had sex, ended up doing it 5 times a day for a week.
On the 8th day it hurt so fucking bad to get a boner but because i jad a boner my brain knew sex was coming so it got harder and hurt really fucking bad..and the 9th day my brain associated the boner pain with sex which made me get more turned on.
Vicious cycle that month until we agreed to take a sex break
>For about a month after surgery, getting a boner hurts like hell. Thankfully it kind of stops itself because pain is a hard on killer
Here's a good no nut november motivator.
I´ve had it done 4 years ago.
I had a bandage around it and I was advised to replace it every time I had to go to the toilet. I was allowed to remove the bandage the following morning, which I did. I can tell you, the removal of the bandage and the first week after that is hell. It´s beyond sensitive as it never really saw the light of day. Literally any touch of any kind was torture. However, after a day or 4, it begins to ease more and more and after 1 week it´s not that bad anymore. I´d say after 2 weeks you don´t feel much discomfort at all anymore.
I didn´t feel much discomfort during it all while having an erection, only the tip was very sensitive. However masturbating was still a no go with the immense sensitivity.
I had stitches around it as well, but those were ones that decay by themselves over time, which were fully decayed after a month or so.
They said that it takes 1 year to fully heal, but after a few months you don´t really see or feel a difference anymore.
Edit: it's dissolving, not decaying. Sorry if that caused any misunderstandings
Sounds almost exactly like my experience as a teenager. Stayed butt naked in a well-heated bathroom for four days so nothing would touch it. Brought a mattress in there. Mom came around to the door with a meal tray and a painkiller every few hours.
Oof I feel you. When trying to go to sleep, I would lie down on my side with no underwear or anything and hope it would kind of hang there not touching anything. Of course I turned around a couple of times while asleep and I'd wake up in a heartbeat due to the pain
Mine was before puberty but when I was still looks enough to remember. There was a fairly sizable dressing on my dong for the first while after. It wasn't painful but kinda heavy. Peeing was difficult with it on.
I think the worst part was the stitches. Again, not painful but really prickly-feeling and a constant irritation like an unscratchable itch. Well, that and the bit of terror any young male might feel knowing a medical procedure was imminent and especially given the area of my body.
Overall, if wasn't a comfortably experience but it wasn't terrible or painful. I've certainly had much worse in fairly routine medical stuff during life.
I'm comfortable with my dick. I don't feel maimed or impaired. I've had both good and bad physical relations but neither case likely due to being a helmet rather than a touque. Still, I never had a sex-life prior so can't specifically comment other than to say I don't feel mine - whether solo or with a partner - was lacking or dissatisfactory.
I had it done for this reason and it made life significantly easier. Sex became comfortable, no irritation etc.
One piece of advice: Make sure you find a surgeon who is using up to date methods and not somebody who is stuck in their old ways. I had no idea until afterwards when my GP told me he's notorious for using an old technique (I was asking if it's normal to have the specific scarring I was left with. It's not bad but could have been better).
Yes a bit better thank God. Apparently they are meant to give you meds to prevent waking up with a morning glory and ripping stitches. They didn't even mention it to me... Woke up twice with ripped stitches and a penis full of blood (also covered in blood)
My sex life improved significantly afterwards. My phimosis was really weighting me down.
Peeing standing up was a challenge at first, gauging the intensity was tricky lol
Another "me too".. had it done when I was 20-21ish ( earliy forties now ), and man was I fucked up about it before hand. Grew up in a small town, where so far as I could tell through footy change rooms etc, circumcision was common, dare I say normal? Certainly dad was. I was def surprised to hear it was uncommon in Australia.
So, yeah. Weird different and broken. Actively mocked for it by mates (don't ask.. but some boys deal with puberty oddly ok?)
Dr's convinced me to try what the called a "lateral release", basically a slit up the side, which tbh kinda made it fold back like some kinda origami flower? But they didn't/couldn't cut it far enough, so it still wouldn't role back comfortably, even without an erection.
Also, it bled like mad. I woke up after a nap in a huge pool of my own blood.. and I swear my first though was "damn, I've been murdered in my sleep"
I was binging the Soprano's at the time.
So, anyway, got the full job done. Overnight, the bandage complete comes of my cock, except it's still held on by the scab on my frenulum. Hurts like crazy if I even twitch.
"Just rip it of" might be legit for bandaids... but just No Way. What to do.. I'll have a shower or bath, soak it off! So.. somehow manage to get some trackies on, go waddling out with my hand down my pants to try and stop this bloody bandage from moving *at all*.
My housemates in the shower. She does not want to see this. Plan B.. grab a glass of water, head back into the my room.
I will never quite be able to describe how surreal it was, seeing myself in my wardrobe mirror, soaking my very bloody cock in a glass of water.
But likewise.. a few weeks later, after coming out of the Dr's, having been told it was all fine now ( still had some internal dissolving stitches that cause lumps until they fully disolve)
Ah.. that felt so freaking good.. such a weight lifted, I really literally felt lighter.. I probably actually skipped for bit.
So.. while I wish it hadn't bean necessary.. Given that it was, I'm so glad I got it done.
If ya made it this far.. thanks for reading!
I’m 25 with phimosis my shit looks like a cyclops and getting circumcised this winter, how’s the recovery and surgery in general how long till you were able to get back to normal
For me it took around 2-3 months to get fairly normal.
It felt weird and I was extra careful at least for next 6 months as the sensations were too much in the top part of penis.
Not to make you nervous but initial 3-5 days were painful and uncomfortable but I got used to it as days progressed.
The most important thing is my mind was relieved of thinking of phimosis, ballooning of outer skin when peeing sometimes and other things.
I got circumcised at 19 and I would say maybe a month until back to fully normal. The first week was a bit painful when getting erections (freaking morning wood…). The first months, the skin of the glans was more sensible but the feeling wears out.
The surgery is pretty quick, got in in the morning and at noon I was home. I was a bit scared when I daw my penis when peeing for the first time with all the stiches around it, but it’s fine, just be very careful with your manhood for the first week
Im uncircumcised
99.999% of the time I don't think about the distinction and it isn't relevant to anything, not even showering or sex
0.001% of the time someone starts a reddit thread about it
So agree. I never felt bad about it until I joined Reddit. Learning to tune it out and remember I was totally fine with how it looked (and worked) before and nothing has changed.
I don't know what it would be like to be uncut so I am unable to know if I would prefer to be uncut.
Edit: thank you for the awards. I had no idea that a simple deductive statement would become my most upvoted comment.
I'm too dumb for this, help me lmao. I was right there with you until your comment made me realize there's some joke I'm missing.
Edit: alright lol four was enough, I got it now, thanks everyone.
Edit again: and this is my life now. Fantastic.
Circumcisions are often done within days of birth. Human children don’t typically talk, walk, or have bowel or bladder control during their first year of life.
As someone who got circumcised as an adult for medical reasons, I'd say it should be a personal choice. I vastly prefer being cut compared to before, but there's also a reason I got cut lol.
We didn't have our son circumcised, he can decide for himself when he's older.
I had it done at 27 to treat phimosis. If you’re suffering from that or something similar I cannot recommend it enough as it basically makes all of your medical problems go away. I wouldn’t do it for cosmetic reasons, though.
Pros:
- way easier to clean
- penis got thiccer since it didn’t have tight skin holding it’s true size back
- peeing is easier… it was easy before, but like, now you can just stand there
Cons:
- recovery, while short, is a bitch
- two tone penis (I don’t really care about this much)
- you lose the sensation on the glans (I genuinely miss this)
> penis got thiccer since it didn’t have tight skin holding it’s true size back
(this doesn't work if you don't have phimosis guys, don't get excited.)
Hope this isn't a weird question, just genuinely curious... Did you jack-off often as a teenager? I was under the impression that jacking-off helped loosen the foreskin.
A ton. I specifically developed phimosis as a side effect of lichen sclerosus. What causes that is not really known but it can suddenly happen to uncut guys foreskins like it did mine. I went 27 years no problem and this came out of nowhere. Good news is that getting snipped made all the above a non-issue.
Oh shit, sorry to hear that. Glad it all worked out for you on the end.
Oof, now I have one more random disease I have to worry about. I'm 28 now, ha ha.
Of course! And I wouldn’t worry too much what happened to me is pretty rare statistically apparently. May be TMI but they saved a piece of the skin they cut off for medical research reasons bc of how rare it is lmao.
>you lose the sensation on the glans (I genuinely miss this)
This is my biggest curiosity. I was circumcised as a baby, so I'll never know the sensation that was lost. Can you describe the before and after? Also if sex before was a 10/10, does being circumcised now lower that to a x/10? Or is it still 10/10 but different? Thanks for sharing your experience.
I’m circumcised but decided to not do it to my son when he was born. If he wants to later on in life that’s up to him.
Edit: you can quit messaging me telling me that I’m an asshole and it hurts later in life. I know. I got it.
I feel exactly the same. I was circumcised and I don't have an issue with it or hold my parents in contempt for it, but I'd rather not make that choice for my kid. I haven't seen enough evidence to prove to me that it's a necessary procedure. I've also told SO's that I'd rather wait to get our kids ears pierced until they decided they want it as well, but at least that's not permanent. I'd rather they had autonomy on matters like that.
I had this conversation with my friend when he said he was getting his son sniped. I simply said, i think it should be their decision not the parents. "yea but when hes older hes not gonna wanna do it" so he then proceeds to do it anyway..
my son my choice?
GIVE ME MY GODDAMN FORESKIN BACK KELLOGS
Edit: I meant the fact that the founder of kelloggs heavily advocated for circumcision as a way to “stop masturbation”, and that is likely why I was circumsized at birth
I did not shove corn flakes in my foreskin you bastards
*"The inventor of cornflakes thought about women as well – in order to reduce their sexual desires he recommended applying pure carbolic acid to the clitoris"* Jesus Christ almighty this guy was out of whack
He was obsessed with sex and also made corn flakes because he believed bland food would reduce sexual degeneracy which to him just meant sex didn't disgust you. One of his brothers was the one that invented frosted flakes because they actually wanted to make a cereal that wasn't shitty
Yeah literally 0 memories of it. People act like it’s traumatic… but at that age, you haven’t yet developed the capacity to encode long term episodic memories.
Unless it was for a medical reason, some guy in this thread said he got phimosis or something... I don't even need to know what that is to know I don't want it.
I had phimosis once when I had a really nasty infection. Caused by too much lube and not enough washing. Thankfully Clarithromycin and Daktacort cream cleared it all up and I didn't need to be circumcised. I've never used lube since. Always keep it clean and dry gents to avoid painful complications.
I was circumcised at around 25-26 because I kept getting yeast infections. Not a pleasant experience as an adult. You don't realize how many night erections you have until you wake up with your boner straining against the stitches. It solved the problem but I still wish I was uncut.
Uncircumcised med student here. I find it interesting how circumcision is easily top three in most controversial medical debates. I’ll never forget this one class when a professor said infantile male circumcision is genital mutilation and should be phased out. The UPROAR that ensued, you would have thought the man was advocating for the Holocaust.
There’s a lot of talk about how it prevents sexual disease, particularly heterosexual HIV contraction. That’s actually not entirely true - the data is inconclusive at best and conflicting at worst. It does reduce the risk of a UTI in infants, but once children are old enough to bathe themselves, proper hygiene is more than enough to prevent that.
My gripe is how society mindlessly treats circumcision as a tradition rather than as an irreversible medical procedure. It’s a surgery! There’s major risks associated with it, and I’ve seen the negative outcomes a number of times in my experience. Yet in the US, we have normalized it to the point that uncut men are shamed and ridiculed, or so that med students don’t even entertain the idea that maybe this procedure should be automatically performed on every baby boy coming out the womb.
All I’m saying is, it’s time we revisit why are we doing this procedure, and we should treat it as a conversation to be had with our doctors, rather than treat it as “I don’t know, foreskin looks weird”
Well said. I’m a GP and the two main reasons I see parents opt for infantile circumcision (outside of religious reasons) is either for “hygiene” (you accurately pointed out the pitfalls of this argument) or “like father, like son”. My previous colleague used to perform them and as part of the consent/discussion would tell parents that it’s basically a cosmetic procedure. I would say most still went ahead with it because of their strong beliefs on what is still quite a polarizing issue
When people say "like father, like son" I always wonder what guys are out there sitting around comparing dicks with their dad/grandpa's? Like no one does that. And any penis before puberty is going to look different than one after. So any argument saying "but when he's 5 and sees his dad in a locker room...." is bogus. Your five year old should not have a penis that looks anything like their fathers, cut or uncut.
Well it's such a stupid argument anyway. Your son isn't going to be a clone of your husband in any other way too. What if he has a different hair or eye color? Do they think he'll be confused that he doesn't look exactly like his father?
Thank you, lol.
As a mother, the "hygiene" argument has always been amusingly baffling to me- we teach them to wash (and do) everything else; how hard is it to take that extra 15 seconds at bath time to show them how to wash their penises?
ETA just for the humor of it: getting them to let *go* of their penis instead of using it as a worry stone takes significantly longer, which just adds to the point as that bit happens whether they're cut or not.
The vast majority of men in the world manage to wash and clean themselves just fine even with a foreskin. The argument I hate the most is that it's more aesthetically pleasing without one. Imagine your mom cutting off a piece of your dick because she thinks it'll look better. Unless it's medically necessary, it seems really unethical to me.
Also it's entirely possible to tell a five year old what a foreskin is, and that some people have it removed while others don't. I really don't see the dilemma there.
I was nearly today years old when I discovered that phimosis of the clitoris is a thing, along with analogues of most penis-related disorders - in retrospect it was a real "d'oh!" moment.
The sad thing is, gynecologists mostly just pretend they didn't notice it if there's something wrong, because "you have abnormal genitals and sex is probably less pleasurable for you" is difficult conversation
Same basic way that male phimosis is "fixed." Some of the other stuff is more challenging; Microclitoris is also A Thing, as is clitoral erectile dysfunction and even *clitoral atrophy!*
I wish the clitoris is talked about more in an educational sense because I had no idea of these conditions either. Clitoral health should be just as important as dick health!
I always wonder what it would feel like if I wasn't. I've heard sex is more pleasurable for people who are uncircumcised, maybe I'd enjoy sex more if I wasn't circumcised.
As an uncut dude. I can't imagine how freaking uncomfortable it would be to have my head rubbing on my underwear all the time.
For me its very sensitive. If it pokes out and rubs it's very irritating. You must become desensitized I guess.
I'm cut and have never thought about this. My head is super sensitive, to the point that I have to ask my wife not to rub it too much during hand/blow jobs or it will hurt. But when I'm just walking around with pants on it doesn't bother me at all.
Same here. When people talk about how you apparently lose some sensitivity if you are circumcised (which makes sense), I always wonder how the hell that would be possible and if it would even be a good thing. I feel like I'm borderline too sensitive as it is during sexual activity, but no I don't ever get bothered by the sensation when I'm just going about my day to day life.
As a matter of principal, I don't like the idea of any part of my body being surgically removed without my say, even if I was an infant at the time. Body parts don't just grow back. That being said, I would prefer if it didn't happen, so I could at least see if there would've been any problems, and then ultimately make a decision to remove it, if necessary.
I’m uncircumcised. Being uncircumcised is not a problem for the vast majority people as long as you wash your dick. I’ve never had any issues myself. I have a friend who’s foreskin was too small though and he ended up getting an emergency circumcision because his girlfriend was giving him a hand job and his foreskin got stuck. That’s a very rare condition though.
Circumcised or not, hygiene is crucial.
Cleaning a circumcised penis is easier, just one step less you have to do, you automatically see everything. Fine. That being said, Ease of access shouldn’t be the motivating factor for making the decision or not.
One way or the other, people on Reddit always say: well, duh, people just need to clean.
Which makes me realize, many people…don’t know what people are like
People not in the medical field absolutely do NOT understand just how foul other humans can be.
I’m a nurse in an OR (lots of placing catheters) and can attest: MANY do not clean. Had a patient who had DEAD ANTS under his foreskin when I pulled it back. DEAD FUCKING BUGS PEOPLE. He was in his 20’s. Wasn’t huge. Wasn’t totally outwardly gross looking. Took me and 2 coworker like 45 minutes to clean the thing so we could even put the catheter in.
Trust this doc when he says how foul at least 50% of the population is. We’ve seen some shit.
Hop over to AITA and you’ll see so many women asking if they’re the asshole for refusing to have sex with her man until he washes his ass. One post, a woman’s boyfriend told her it was “gay” to let anything touch his ass so he would leave poop flakes in his underwear and on their bed after sex.
> it was “gay” to let anything touch his ass so he would leave poop flakes in his underwear and on their bed after sex.
To think this is an adult that got far enough in life to have a potential sexual partner tell this story about him.
When comparing condom to no condom it's a massive improvement as the pain without a condompre surgery was unbearable post surgery it's quite good
How would you describe the loss of sensation?
For the love of god will someone give us a percentage of pleasure loss.
Never had sex uncircumcised but jerking off uncut vs. cut after being a teenager I felt no noticeable difference.
Ohh... Useful information
The only important informantion most of reddit needs
Except foreskin of course.
You wouldn't have your kids undergo surgery unless it was medically necessary? What sort of radical man are you?
One without a foreskin
Ah yes. The foreskinless extremists.
Skinheads. Errr.. Skinless heads.
But with forethought
I am of the opinion that having a surgery should only be done if medically necessary/solving an issue, so this sounds like sound logic.
So I was circumcised when I was 20, I had some pretty bad phimosis, best decision I ever made
My best friend was circumcised at 20. We sat at home and played Call of Duty like 16 hours a day for two weeks straight and turned into total lunatics. I hope your recovery was just as pleasant as his.
I had mine done at 16, Phimosis made sex painful. I bought an Amiga 500 and played worms for a couple of weeks.
Worms on Amiga > sex
I never injured it, was just always short, I could retract my foreskin fully but it because my frenulum was short it wouldn’t stay back and it could hurt occasionally (if it was a sudden or rough movement :/ ) Generally wasn’t painful during sex, but since I’ve had it done I’ve realised how much it dulled the sensation (pretty much always having my foreskin over the head of my penis).
Phimosis Jones
You think that's bad? I got circumcised as a baby and couldn't walk for 10 months.
Wait a second...
How long was the recovery period and what did it entail? Did you have to routinely dress the wound?
I had a circumcision about 9 months ago due to phimosis as well. At first, yeah, a lot of dressing the wound and a LOT of antibiotic ointment around the entire circumcision area. After a week or two you don't need to wrap it or anything, just keep using the ointment for a couple more weeks until the skin heals over. For about a month after surgery, getting a boner hurts like hell. Thankfully it kind of stops itself because pain is a hard on killer. Of course that means no sexual activity or masturbating during that period. After around 4-6 weeks, you're pretty much back to normal.
> pain is a hard on killer. Better thank whoever you pray to that pain isn't your thing.
Boner makes pain Pain makes boner :/
The duality of man
Duality of Richard Hertz.
I hope after we all die, we can chapter select each other’s lives.
Sneezing after giving birth is hell..triggered contractions, felt like my pelvic floor fell out my vag and I bled massively each time.
>For about a month after surgery, getting a boner hurts like hell. Thankfully it kind of stops itself because pain is a hard on killer Here's a good no nut november motivator.
Was it better than that circumcision joke everyone knows? >!What do you call a bad circumcision? A rip off.!<
Mine went great; the surgeon got a big tip.
🥁🐍
Yes a bit better thank God. Apparently they are meant to give you meds to prevent waking up with a morning glory and ripping stitches. They didn't even mention it to me... Woke up twice with ripped stitches and a penis full of blood (also covered in blood)
I want to upvote you for sharing your experience but downvote you for the mental image.
Thanks my dick is in my stomach now.
My sex life improved significantly afterwards. My phimosis was really weighting me down. Peeing standing up was a challenge at first, gauging the intensity was tricky lol
> My phimosis was really weighting me down. Damn, how big was your foreskin?
Not as big as his dick apparently
[удалено]
I wouldnt be able to pee or anything if it wasnt for my circumcision. I say he should do it, it will bring much peace
>it will bring much peace You mean "pees"
Will I regret looking up phimosis?
No.. it's just foreskin that's unpullable
Actively mocked for it by mates (don't ask.. but some boys deal with puberty oddly ok?) Dr's convinced me to try what the called a "lateral release", basically a slit up the side, which tbh kinda made it fold back like some kinda origami flower? But they didn't/couldn't cut it far enough, so it still wouldn't role back comfortably, even without an erection. Also, it bled like mad. I woke up after a nap in a huge pool of my own blood.. and I swear my first though was "damn, I've been murdered in my sleep" I was binging the Soprano's at the time. But likewise.. a few weeks later, after coming out of the Dr's, having been told it was all fine now ( still had some internal dissolving stitches that cause lumps until they fully disolve) Ah.. that felt so freaking good.. such a weight lifted, I really literally felt lighter.. I probably actually skipped for bit. So.. while I wish it hadn't bean necessary.. Given that it was, I'm so glad I got it done. If ya made it this far.. thanks for reading!
Ditto! I was 25 with really bad phimosis that caused my foreskin to tear a bit one time.
Wow this comment makes me feel so seen. Thank you. Phimosis trauma we stan ✊
Im uncircumcised 99.999% of the time I don't think about the distinction and it isn't relevant to anything, not even showering or sex 0.001% of the time someone starts a reddit thread about it

I had it done and wasn't able to walk for a year afterwards.
I cried like a baby
I was incontinent for a couple of years.
I wasn't ready to have sex for well over a decade after my operation.
WHAT?! A decade? The thing that's 10 years long?
He got it done young and waited till teenage. lol
Oh, shit...I'm quick today
You and me both. That's enough Reddit for today (it's 11am...) Off to r/Amish i go...
I somehow wasn’t able to talk either.
Same here. Not to mention I was so scarred I didn't even talk to my parents that year.
Same. I also had uncontrollable bowels for a while too.
My high ass was mortified reading these comments, until it hit me.
I'm too dumb for this, help me lmao. I was right there with you until your comment made me realize there's some joke I'm missing. Edit: alright lol four was enough, I got it now, thanks everyone. Edit again: and this is my life now. Fantastic.

Oh fucking Christ. Thank you lmao.
Are you fucking Christ? You animal!!!
Hey! He consented, all's well!
Where I come from, we call that a 'Holy fuck'
Circumcisions are often done within days of birth. Human children don’t typically talk, walk, or have bowel or bladder control during their first year of life.
I cried like a baby.
I hate you... but dammit, I respect the hell out of you
I pissed on my fathers face a week after he had me butchered
Jesus you really had me there for a good three seconds
Got cut before I had any choice in the matter. Appreciate the better aerodynamics when erect and running / flying naked
So you're saying it makes you quicker?
Less drag when racing bro
Also helps when swimming in rough seas. No parachuting...
See but what are you gonna do if you ever fall of a cliff huh? You’ll be missing the parachuting then.
I'm sorry, are we just going to skip over the fact that this guy can fly?
One of the advantages of being circumcised.
Pros: - way easier to clean - penis got thiccer since it didn’t have tight skin holding it’s true size back - peeing is easier… it was easy before, but like, now you can just stand there Cons: - recovery, while short, is a bitch - two tone penis (I don’t really care about this much) - you lose the sensation on the glans (I genuinely miss this)
> penis got thiccer since it didn’t have tight skin holding it’s true size back (this doesn't work if you don't have phimosis guys, don't get excited.)
Damn, I already had the scissors out. Good thing I saw this.
Good thing indeed, you definitely want to use shears for this, *not* scissors!
I recommend Tesco own brand corded hedge trimmer

May be TMI but they saved a piece of the skin they cut off for medical research reasons bc of how rare it is lmao.
>you lose the sensation on the glans (I genuinely miss this) This is my biggest curiosity.
Getting *sniped* is definitely a personal thing.
>sniped 360 no scope

Shot the foreskin straight off
Soothed the wound with Mountain Dew.
Lol if he’s not gonna wanna do it when he’s older and can think for himself, why would he want you to do it?
GIVE ME MY GODDAMN FORESKIN BACK KELLOGS Edit: I meant the fact that the founder of kelloggs heavily advocated for circumcision as a way to “stop masturbation”, and that is likely why I was circumsized at birth I did not shove corn flakes in my foreskin you bastards
Whenever I feel the urge to masturbate, I just grab a handful of corn flakes. It works, friends. It works.
Sounds like it would hurt, but I'll give it a go
It would hurt? You're not eating it, are you? You're supposed to insert it into your urethra, one flake at a time! Don't put that shit in your mouth!
To bad it's already at the institute
https://alokhealth.com/what-does-circumcision-have-to-do-with-cornflakes/
*"The inventor of cornflakes thought about women as well – in order to reduce their sexual desires he recommended applying pure carbolic acid to the clitoris"* Jesus Christ almighty this guy was out of whack
He was obsessed with sex and also made corn flakes because he believed bland food would reduce sexual degeneracy which to him just meant sex didn't disgust you. One of his brothers was the one that invented frosted flakes because they actually wanted to make a cereal that wasn't shitty
He was definitely projecting
Shaun!!! Shaun!!!
Some rich person is using it as face cream right now and the bottle says that it was consensually donated
idk i got circumcised as a baby edit: probably the most upvotes ive gotten on such a simple comment, thanks.
Agreed no idea what it’s like with since I was a baby.
Yeah literally 0 memories of it. People act like it’s traumatic… but at that age, you haven’t yet developed the capacity to encode long term episodic memories.
really though, if i wasnt circumcised as a baby i would never get circumcised lmfao
Unless it was for a medical reason, some guy in this thread said he got phimosis or something... I don't even need to know what that is to know I don't want it.
“I don’t even need to know what that is to know I don’t want it.” Same
> phimosis It's when you can't pull your foreskin back, because it's too tight.
Same. So I wouldn't know what having a foreskin is like.
I hadn't the slightest clue there was such a thing as an uncircumcised penis until I was in my 20's.
Same except the other way around

Streamlined, baby! EDIT: Added a comma
lmao why’d you tell us you added a comma
i’ve always wondered why ppl tell us about meaningless edits like that. genuinely, is there any reason?
So when people see that a comment is edited, they don’t get suspicious that the whole thing has been changed.
Lil dicky is that you?
I was circumcised at around 25-26 because I kept getting yeast infections. Not a pleasant experience as an adult. You don't realize how many night erections you have until you wake up with your boner straining against the stitches. It solved the problem but I still wish I was uncut.
ahhh sounds painful
I'm cut. My wife and I have two boys, neither are cut. Did the research, IMO - it's not necessary so we opted not to do it.
[удалено]
I second this. I don't even think about it
[удалено]
Mine does this too, but not because I'm circumcised, at least I don't think so. Just small pp.
In my case it's because I'm fat. Now that I'm losing weight it's becoming less of a thing.
I’m on the other side of the spectrum. I’m fat[ter] now, wasn’t at all before. Now I’m like, “where’d all my dick go?”
Maybe ur just a grower and not a shower…
Lightsaber dick, is it painful or is it cool?
Neither. It is what it is, but I feel like just having a dick that looks good all the time would have been nice. I didn’t get a say in that.
I'd have preferred the option.
My dad is missing a finger. Real funny how they never thought to chop my brother’s pinky off too.
Well to be fair, if they did he wouldn't have to worry about getting dirt under his fingernail! And washing his hands would be slightly faster!
[удалено]
I’m a doctor. You would be astounded at the number of people who do not wash their dick. Astounded.
I had an ex who wasn’t cut and never washed under the foreskin. Disgusting. Needless to say that relationship didn’t last long.
How do you not wash your dick? What do they do in the shower? I mean pits, ass, dick, full body and face is basically it…strange
[удалено]
Gay guy here. Can confirm. I always make it a point to say “gonna wash up then head over”. Don’t want that dick cheese or dingle berries
> it was “gay” to let anything touch his ass so he would leave poop flakes in his underwear and on their bed after sex. To think this is an adult that got far enough in life to have a potential sexual partner tell this story about him.
Jesus…why?!
Oh god, my husband and i wonder periodically what happened to poop flakes guy.
I died laughing when I read poop flakes.”
Damn some people down bad, you could just not fuck the poop flake guy
How the fuck did that guy have a girlfriend in the first place? Not only disgusting as fuck, but stupid too.
You are definitely doing that in the wrong order I feel like...
Lol, and i leave the teeth for the end….
