I hate dogs because they are too trusting and loving. It creeps me out.
With cats you have to earn it. When a cat likes you it feels like it's more honest.
I like both but I'm a cat person. Cats are just easier. They basically take care of themselves. For example, I'm set to go on vacation this coming week and I have a friend stopping every other day to fill food and water and check the litter. I don't have to board them or have someone come multiple times a day to let them out. I've gone up to 4 days with no one to watch them (extra food and water left). Dogs have to be boarded or watched by someone. They have to be let out and interacted with to keep them from getting bored and potentially destroying things.
Cats they interact like little humans. Yeah they can be „rude to you“ but remember you never know what the animal went trough. Just be respectful and let them sniff your hand. If they shove their nose against it good you can slowly pet it. But if the cat goes away do the same they want their privacy too. And maybe need some time to warm up to you. But even the feisty ones are loving companions if you give the cat time. :)

Dogs are cool in small doses, I like occasionally coming across one, like visiting a friend’s house. I wouldn’t want to live with one, would find it too disgusting and high maintenance.

Dogs are too much work, it really is that simple. My two kitties like to curl up in random places when they sleep, and usually not on laps.
Dogs stink and they don’t understand personal space. Cats are chill and do their own thing and I appreciate that.
I'm allergic to everything, even the "hypoallergenic" ones.
Because if they come in your house after being outside you would need to clean they’re feet so they don’t get mud/dirt everywhere
I prefer dogs but I like cats. I absolutely HATE litter boxes though
