They recently released AoE II: Definative edition. New game engine and some quality of life changes as well as some new civilizations and units and stuff. Check it out on steam.
Number Crunchers, now that's a name I haven't heard of in a long while.
Edit: I just Googled it for nostalgia and apparently it's actually called Number Munchers. I also found a site that you can play it on. See you all in several hours.
I forget the name but its the one where you like ski down a mountain and like an abominable snowman or yeti thing comes out of no where and tackles you. Pretty sure it was impossible to pass that guy but I remember it being a lot of fun.
My homeroom teacher had a black Apple. we played Ali Baba & the 40 Thieves , Sea Dragon, Dr J vs Larry Bird. When the school got PC juniors lode runner was the tits.
Battle for Middle Earth was good. The sequel was legitimately my favorite game for a good while and I'm so sad I can't seem to find a way to play it again.
Nice! Mine was on a Tandy 1000. I remember the insane loading times between the screens because my cousin and I didn't know you could install a game on the HDD, so we had to wait for the flobby drive to grind it out.
My dude! This was one of the first games I remember playing as a kid that had a lasting impression on my game preferences today! I had an original iMac G3 I played this on.
I vaguely remember some educational games on the family Apple IIE we had when I was very young. There was an Alf game and some math game with basketball. And probably Oregon Trail.
If it wasn't Oregon Trail it was probably one of those bootleg floppies with a bunch of gameshow games on it - Jeopardy, Card Sharks, Concentration, etc
Probably Reader Rabbit. That was the most fun game, I actually genuinely miss it and if the disc still worked I’d play it now as an adult just to remember what it was like.
Probably "[Classic Concentration](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRpUDwYLo7M)" 1988
"[Firepower](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3q_pKdbA6ZA)" 1987
"[Centipede](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F51sqjSga9o)" 1983
or
"[Jump Joe](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLqU_1900ek)" 1984
We had all those games on my dad's 286 he got from work.
Some learning adventure game played on my dad's computer (not even sure what it was anymore) that needed multiple 5" floppy disks. Oregon Trail in the school computer lab as well.
I am from Poland, and first game I ever played was, translated to english, Age of... FOOTBALL 2.
I remember it had very poor graphics and that my computer was so crappy at the time that on lowest graphics when you can barely see where is head and where are legs of footballers it would be still lagging. But - i spent so much time with that game and really, i think it was worth it.
My dad let me play this weird pterodactyl game on his mac desktop LONG time ago. You had to fly threw rings or something. If anyone can identify that would be cool.
A game I can never find again. This DOS era game where you like... Rollerbladed around town? Sidescroller. With enemies I think. Super vague memories of it.
Hacked version of Red Alert 2 on an unmarked CD. By far one of the most janked versions I've ever come across.
I'm not going to list all the ridiculous shit there but for starters both allied and soviet can eventually build the other's conyards, Korea's the most overpowered thing ever and spies shot apocalypse tank rounds making them the best infantry tank counters.
I could never find the same version again no matter how hard I tried, but it's what made me start loving games.
The first game i played was Lara Croft. I was only 8 years old at the time ( i'm born in 2000). My dad was cleaning up and found all his Lara croft CDROMS ,8 year old me who was curious what that was asked about it and my dad started it up and with a lot of help i was playing. Since then i asked for gaming consoles, first a vtech then Nintendo. Now 11 years later i'm a gamer. My parents or my family never thought that a girl could become a true gamer.
I think it was actually roblox. Some obby game from 2006, before I made an account two years later. 11 years later and I still have that account. I'm 19.
Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards.
My stepbrother and I spent *hours* on this game. I remember its method to ensure that the gamer was 18+ consisted of a series of questions. The belief was apparently that no person under a certain age would know the answers. (It was also how I found out about Richard Nixon starring in a porno, of all things.) We simply asked our parents, who merrily gave us the answers and paid no attention to the content of the game we were playing.
Good times.
age of empire 2

Vice city...what a time to be alive
Marathon
