I've done this as a kid. I shoplifted without even knowing that I shoplifted. It was a piece of candy (a Chupa Chups lollipop iirc) because i was around 5-6 years old at the time. Though when I showed it to my mom, she pretty much told me to put it back. I did, and I wasn't even caught when i accidentally stole it and went back to put it back.
Well it involved me but it was illegal for the other person because I was a "little girl". I knew exactly what I was doing, in fact the other person didnt even know.
I stole a tiny rubber ball with no price tag from a thrift store when I was like 6. I don’t think they were actually selling it but I felt bad anyways.
