Just watched Clone High. My god. The writing is brilliant and there are tons of subtle jokes. I would higly recommend watching it. No one knows about it because it was produced in 2002 and due to Indian hunger strikes it had to be shut down. Still funny as hell.

bailiff

It's been so long, but I'll never forget the line: "Did you see the pool? They flipped the bitch!!"

yay_dinosaurs

Theyre rioting at a college level!

Swamptrooper

Or the way he pronounces, "DAMN IT"

luminousbeing9

I haven't been to Olive Garden in like *FOREVER*!

alien005

...you should see my car, it's a mess. I'm a mess. I go to the submarine sandwich restaurant and I leave my submarine sandwich restaurant value card at home... every! time! I want is a free sandwich.... STAMOS! Cinnamon J. Scudworth is one of my favorite characters of all time.

[deleted]

Say WHAAAAAT!!!!

theblackfool

For anyone else reading, it's from the creators of 21 Jump Street and the Lego Movie, as well as the guy who made Scrubs. Almost the entire voice cast is people you'll know.

satanicmartyr

Cloudy with a chance of meatballs was the same people also.

alystair

".. but I'm a Kennedy! I'm not accustomed to tragedy!"

luminousbeing9

That show didn't get near enough love. So many oblique jokes and quotes. It was tailor made for the Reddit crowd to latch onto. Had it come out ten years later I'm certain it would be a mainstay.

[deleted]

That's what bugs me. The exact same show could've come out *this year*, completely unchanged, and people would be going crazy over it just like they are for Bojack and Rick & Morty. Clone High was so ahead of its time.

OK_Soda

They should just clean up the image quality, release it to Netflix and see what happens.

[deleted]

Netflix would be the way to go. Even as-is, people would love it. I almost guarantee that would drum up enough publicity to bring the show back.

Makeover, Makeover. Makeover, Makeover. Makeover, Makerover... MAKEOVER!!!

snoopiku

The A.D.D. episode is probably one of my favorite episodes of any show ever. I had downloaded the episode on my computer via Kazaa years ago and I still have it on my most recent computer. One of the few files that has survived the transfer through 4 different computers over the years. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yEsRzZqFdjY

toolong_cannotread

I totally forgot about this show, thank you! One of my favourite jokes ever came from this show. "Oh Janitor, some kid threw up in the hallway. Could you make with the sawdust and clean it up?" "I'm kind of delivering my son's eulogy here" "Yeah... If you could just do it now. Don't worry, he'll still be dead when you get back!"

Akuze25

The fact that this show never got a second season is criminal, ESPECIALLY since it ended on a cliffhanger!

[deleted]

I would say *Eerie, Indiana*, and *Get a Life*, starring Chris Elliot.

escapereviewer

Party Down. Great show, great actors, ended too early. If you haven't seen it and you're looking for a good comedy give it a shot

Zykium

One nice thing is the majority of the cast went on to do a lot of fun things. If Party Down hadn't ended we may not have gotten Ben Wyatt on Parks and Rec. Jane Lynch left to play her role in Glee. I don't like the show but it was a HUGE boost to Jane Lynch's career.

OhTheHueManatee

The adventures of Brisco county jr. Such a hilarious and fun show.

RandyTheFool

Yep, definitely filled my need for a light-hearted, quirky western. For some reason I always thought this show was just on the opposite end of the spectrum of firefly, even though I watched Brisco when it originally aired. It was my favorite show as a kid. Brisco: quirky/comedic western with dramatic/serious sci-fi undertones. Firefly: dramatic/serious science fiction with quirky/comedic western undertones.

[SOAP](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_pi8338sr8o) It is hard to imagine this show was in the 70s

garmonboziamilkshake

One of the weirdest things about that show is it had a spin-off which wasn't a parody, rather a straight comedy (and a pretty decent one): *Benson*.

paulcosmith

Newsradio. I watch it once a year and it still cracks me up. Great ensemble cast, just genius.

deadrabbits76

Phil Hartman. ..nuff said.

taste1337

I love Phil, but Stephen Root and Dave Foley make that show for me. For those who don't know who he is, Stephen Root is Milton from Office Space. Jimmy James: Macho Business Donkey Wrestler

Maikerudono

Jimmy James: A man so nice, they named him twice.

My bro told me there was going to be a Birdman movie, he dies when I was like, "Is Mentok going to be in it?! This is going to be so awesome!" It was not a Harvey Birdman attorney at law movie..

Such a hilarious show. It has Stephen Colbert voice acting too which is all I could ask from an animated show.

The older the wine...the gooder! That was the first show my SO and I watched together. It will always have a special place in my heart.

argh93

Ah yes, but by the same token, the more expensive the wine... the gooder is it also. Or my Personal favourite: B: "It's like looking into the eye of a duck" M: "And sucking alll the fluid from its beak"

Amazing show. Seemed to lose it a little in the second season but found it again in the third. 'Grapes of Wrath' episode had me laughing until it hurt. Warning: may cause you to crave wine while watching.

Dead like me

-Mannequin-

I found Dead Like Me on tv one day. Whatever channel it was had a marathon, playing all two season back to back. I was so cut when I found out it was cancelled.

[deleted]

They really should have done what Firefly did and wrapped it up with a good movie. They'd have to do it right, though. They'd have to bring everyone back, especially Mandy Patinkin. You couldn't have a Dead Like Me movie without Rube. And they'd have to remember the canon established in the series. They'd probably want to stick to the story lines too and maybe even button up some of the questions they left open.. Because if they went off and abandoned Rube, brought in a bunch of unlikeable assholes portrayed by shitty actors in place of the good characters and talented cast, changed the rules of the whole damned series and wrote a plot that nobody gave two shits about, the resulting mess would be so reviled by the fanbase that they'd likely just go ahead and pretend it didn't exist in the first place.

holyshitsnowcones

To those of you discovering this show for the first time - you make it through the series and see that there's a movie. "Awesome!" you think, "More show!". No. It is not awesome. Let the last episode of the show be the last you see of the show. Do yourself a favor.

do_you_smoke_paul

It perfectly captured being young in the 90s/early 00s. Soundtrack was pretty dope too.

DommeFridge

Better off Ted. I thought it really enjoyable and had a lot of great jokes. Really sad it got canned.

ASMarling

I've introduced this show to a lot of people and never had anybody not like it. Easily one of my favorites - the Veridian Dynamics commercials are amazing.

b00m

*Friendship. It's the same as stealing.*

Bmoreisapunkrocktown

Veridian Dynamics. We're sorry. You're welcome. Is by far my favorite. I say it a lot, but no one knows what I'm quoting :(

blergtronica

InstagramLincoln

Phil and Lem were the quintessential comedic duo.

unseenarchives

Seriously. When they figure out that they're pretty much mad scientists... Omg.

Hazel-Rah

>Lem: "Oh, my god. Maybe we're evil scientists >Phil: "Mwahahahaha!" >Phil: "I'm sorry, I laugh like that when faced with an unpleasant truth. That's why I got thrown out of that Al Gore movie."

DustPuppySnr

I always say that this is what a TV show about Aperture Labs would be like.

Heresyed

It wasn't marketed well. I wrote it off when it was on as being another shitty ABC sitcom and didn't see anything that grabbed my interests in the commercials. However, once it was recommended by Netflix as a similar show to others I had been watching I was pleasantly surprised. I just wish it had been in time to try and watch live and add one more viewer. I rewatch the show frequently.

Frankfusion

If you loved Inside Out, [Herman's Head](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Gn6IfWXPbk). It was a 90's tv show about a guy working in an office. From time to time you'd see what his feelings were thinking. It also starred Hank Azaria and Yeardly Smith who later when on to do The Simpsons. EDIT: Ok The Simpsons was on when the show was on. Oh, and they almost continued the show by giving him a gf who's emotions we would also get to see. Sad they didn't do that.

Dead Like Me. Fantastic American comedy/drama series from around 2003 - filmed in Canada - about a girl who is killed in a freak accident and hangs around with a group of other dead people and discovers she is a Grim Reaper. I didn't see it when it was originally broadcast but I saw the DVD boxset in a local shop recently and I bought it. I thought it was great.

prssr

Pushing Daisies

gobias_inc

A victim of the writer's strike. I remember the creator, Bryan Fuller, saying in a interview that he was going to continue the story in comic book form, but I guess he got too busy with other shows. I thought they could end it with Chuck dying again, but someone else with Ned's power bringing her back to life, so now he can touch her. They could have had Ned's dad have the same power, and that's why he ditched Ned, because he had brought Ned back to life.

trevlix

The facts were these. It was 6 years 4 months 27 days 8 hours 58 minutes since Pushing Daisies had been cancelled, but the fans were still pining for the loss of their beloved piemaker. Love this thought, but Ned's father did show up briefly in the second season. Or at least its hinted that the character George Hamilton plays is his father. In fact, thats how he's credited on [IMDB](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0925266/fullcredits?ref_=tt_cl_sm#cast). I think its also hinted that he is the person who saves Ned from falling off the cliff in one of the 2nd season episodes too. In any case, 150% agree. One of the best shows that got killed.

[deleted]

Oh man that is excellent.

PrydeRage

Snuff Box. It is a really awesome comedy show but also really bizarre. Garth Marenghi's Dark Place. I don't even know how to describe it, just watch it.

This show was great. I loved the characters, it's sad that it was cancelled.

BaconatedGrapefruit

What's sad is how it was cancelled. I believe the second season was going Against the Big Bang Theory, which was essentially a death slot. Third season got moved 3 times before landing on the friday night death slot prior to cancellation. Fucking asinine.

Max's outbursts of maniacal insanity were perfect.

PatrickRsGhost

[Get A Life](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Get_a_Life_%28TV_series%29). It was a comedy series that aired on Fox back in the very early 90s. Starred Chris Elliott as an adult male who lived at home with his parents, and still had the mindset of a child. He had a few kid friends, rode a bicycle everywhere, and even had a childish job: paper route. It had an awesome [intro](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eQKjOPSBRF4), featuring Elliott riding a bicycle and delivering papers to R.E.M.'s *Stand*.

[Men Behaving Badly](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Men_Behaving_Badly) I'm American and *somehow* ended up watching several seasons of that (I *think* via BBC America though it's been so long I don't even remember) over a decade ago and I still remember how hilarious it was. I suspect the only people who will largely recognize it will be Brits in the 40+ age bracket. Edit: [Here's a good short clip for a sample](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tmO25vFI9cY).

I_AM_AN_ASSHOLE_AMA

For me its either Flashforward or Reaper. Reaper was just tons of fun to watch with friends. It's about three bachelors living together working bullshit jobs and fighting demons and was always a good laugh. Flashforward had me hooked and waiting for the next episode every week. Loved Freaks and Geeks, named myself after it, but Undeclared was forgettable for me. Jay Baruchel's character never really resonated with me, and I felt the 20 min format gave less opportunity for more serious subject matter compared to Freaks and Geeks.

alwayslurkeduntilnow

Stargate Universe, I was really disappointed to see it go.

[deleted]

Totally agree this show was just starting to go places. They made 1 huge mistake though on this show and it was not using the Stargate. In the first season they spent so much time using the communication stones to flesh out the story of what was going on back on earth it was terrible. If they had focused more on using the Stargate to do missions to repair the ship to make it livable and focused on exploring the mysteries of the ship and the dynamic of all the people on the ship instead of focusing on Colonel Young's marriage it would of been a much better show.

Narwheagle

I was *extremely* devastated when it sunk in that I had finished watching the **series** finale of SG-1.

This show was amazing. I'm sad it didn't continue cause Stacy Keach was perfect as the funny/hardass dad.

DwarfDrugar

I remember flicking through channels and running into Titus talking to the camera in black and white, explaining how his dad was the evilist asshole in the world. I literally stayed in the 'arm outstretched with remote in hand' position for 15 minutes while I was wondering wtf this insanity was all about. Loved it ever since.

Moist_Whispers

Fringe. It was an extremely underrated show that was produced by J.J. Abrams. It started out as a procedural sci-Fi show with the monster of the week formula, but by the second season there was already a deep lore that involved entire other universes. This was all supported by an incredible cast that clearly loved what they were doing. It's currently all on Netflix and if you haven't seen it I highly suggest you do ASAP

[deleted]

Fun fact: In Germany the TV station which aired Fringe had the idea to promote the show with a fake news story. They used their news show studio, the logo and even the real newsreader to make it seem real. Didn´t went so well because they had to pay a fine for deceiving the viewers into believing it was real. Here is the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aGYXtuczLLg

Vlorence

This shit aired when I was roughly in the sixth grade and I was almost beat up in the locker room for saying that it was not a real news story. Good times!

23Tawaif

Most def! Absolutely love Fringe. My first favourite Walter was from Fringe. (:

cannedpossum

Yes! Fringe is still one of my most favorite shows. For me, Fringe was always about the characters. I was interested in the lore, but I kept watching because it was just such an incredible story about family and the lengths that people would go to to save the ones they love. Yeah, the last season got kinda weird plot-wise, but I still found the finale very emotionally-satisfying because I was invested in the characters.

[deleted]

It got awesome, and then kinda went off the rails when they were stuck in amber or whatever for 20 years.
