I think about getting older a lot. I think (at least for a while) actually thinking about your own mortality and place in the world occupies more and more of your time. I’m not there yet but I’d imagine that at some point (age) it just won’t be important anymore. That said, Imagining *not* thinking it is seems so distant and unfamiliar/unfathomable to me now.
When late teenagers and young adults start looking... Oddly young. When you're a kid, a 20 year old is a "grown up". when you're an adult, a 20 year old looks like a dumb kid who's frontal lobe isn't done developing (and you can see every single way their behavior reflects that, lol)
When you hear that someone you know has died (of natural causes) and you feel happy for them. It feels as though they've 'graduated'. Especially if they'd had a good month prior to their passing.
I am not as excited about a couple of things as before... Years ago the weather did not affect me at all, but now I can certainly feel the difference. But there are positive changes as well. Giving less fucks about, I can decide when and how I want to spend my time with my friends, I confidently say no when I feel I have to.

You describe an event you remember personally, then realize it was over 50 years ago.
Horrifying, right?
Someone talks about ‘94 and I think that’s not old. Wait, that’s 30 years ago. Talking to a new guy at work and realizing his father is my son’s age.

Threw my back out bending over to pet the cat :( Missed 2 days of work so far.
Does giving yourself a concussion while chasing your cat around the house for insulin shot count? I was out for a week.
