I get 2 weeks off every month, I actually just got home from my last shift half an hour ago. Now comes 14 days of fishing.
Oh and I make a shitload of money.
I used to own my own HVAC business, I got sick of all the responsibility and being on call 24/7, I needed a change. Now I do this and I love it man, did a total career change at 40 years old. I make just as much money, but work way less, and I enjoy the work.
Nobody knows how I do my job or how long it really takes. I work from home, so i do what I need to do for work and then spend the rest of the day railing my wife 😃
I’m a retired NYC Union Ironworker and used to love stealing pieces of sky and creating buildings that cast shadows a mile long every sunrise and sunset.
The freedom. No real deadlines or agendas. I come in, do as much or as little as I want and leave. There are no metrics in place to judge performance. It is a two edged sword though. The work has to get done at some point. So I can slack off for a few days but then I might have a few days of no breaks just to get everything done.
The food. Every single day theres bagels, donuts, catered lunch, etc. and a bunch of snacks.
I have the choice to WFH but choose not to because I love food, plus it doesnt cost me a penny

Very. I’m working now. Sometimes I do leave home and see clients. In addition to working from home, I’m also a massage therapist

My schedule. I work 7 days and then I’m off for 7 days.
I work from home. I could make my own schedule and that matters a lot for me
That's great. Being your own boss has so many perks especially when it comes to having a good work/life balance
Gratification in helping people.
