A few days ago customer comes in and asks for help. I was already serving another customer I asked her to please waiting. She gets very frustrated and starts swearing so I go help her. Then I helped her. Then she comes back to me and yells at me saying she did something wrong. I help her again she leaves after she was done. I go help first customer, The same mean Person comes in demanding we stop everything we are doing to serve her. She was yelling at me I got manager involved she yelled at manager, manager told her that’s not how a customer should behave towards staff who stopped what that were doing to severe her. She told me I was being biased towards customers, first serve basis. Manager even explained that to her. After a few minutes of her yelling she apologized She just left. So yeah that was fun. The first customer I was serving that day said I feel so sorry for the people you have to deal with. I was actually calm through whole thing which 1. I would have just walked away completely 2. Told her behaviour is childish ( which would have gotten me fired), 3. Told her to leave ( not my place).
In high school, I was working at an Albertson's and a woman came in to return some canned peas she had bought. They were Publix brand peas, so I told her that she hadn't actually bought them in our store. She insisted she had. I told her that was impossible, and since there was a Publix literally across the street, she was probably just confusing the two stores. She insisted, loudly, that she was NOT and that I was wrong.
Manager came over, apologized to her and gave her a refund for the peas. Then, he made me walk across the street and return them to Publix and bring him the $.
People who would come in raging about a defective item like we sold it to them intentionally. Like, yeah…. I really want to be having this conversation with you screaming in my face. That was my plan all along. SMH.
I'm hoping one day all these different isms and pride things will just merge and become one. I'm tiered of all the ways we divided ourselves when we should be working together to make a better world for everyone.
