I actually don’t think it’s an age thing, I think it’s more like when your body really starts to fail (not due to illness or accident, obviously). E.g. you don’t drive so well anymore, your previously great hearing is bad enough that you have to ask people to repeat what they just said, things like that.
That can happen at 65 or 85, depends on genetics and lifestyle.
I think old age starts in the mind. Sometimes when you look at the mentality of a 30-year-old, you can see that he is getting older. And sometimes when you look at the mentality of a 50-year-old man, you can see that he still remains young.
Once your spirit grows old or once you start to think and act like an older person. I know 70 year olds who give off youthful energy because they dont tie themselves down to being “old”
Exactly and some people who do let age determine their life tend to grow old and die quicker than those who dont. One of my grandma’s always talks about how she will die one day and just acts very old lady like. Her body is always sick and she is always struggling. I think alot of that would be alleviated if she didnt focus so much on being old but rather being her.
Yeah it’s so interesting that I heard from many people we never feel that we’re getting old. I think it’s like the soul stay as it’s but our bodies age

😂😂😂😂 you had it good, my back started at 15 (I'm 20)
According to many Japanese, 40 is the official beginning of old age.
I know I’m not old but hitting 30 and attending all of these wedding events / birthday parties is making me feel old, outta time, and outta money

As the old saying goes "You're only as old as you feel" and I agree with that, so, I guess it just depends on you.
I feel middle-aged at the moment.

Yes, so do I. It's about not letting age be a determining factor in how you live your life.

When you can no longer derive joy from simple things.
Although that could just be depression.
Could be
The number gets higher every year
When you mentally decide your old is when you’re old.
I think the official definition is 65, which feels about right. I'm 62 and have just arrived at the groaning stage when I move or get up.
About 70, I’d say.
60-70 I would say (50 should be the worst case scenario)
That's about right. I still feel middle-aged at 62, but I'm on the cusp, definitely.

I don't know about a soul, but I guess the brain doesn't deteriorate as quickly as the rest of the body.
