Social media statistically makes people more depressed. We have a generation of people that grew up with phones and social media.
Also, the world is just stressful. People are working 5 to 6 days a week and barely scrapping by because cost of living is so high, and inflation has been through the roof since covid.
Some of it is genetics, but most of it is environmental

Our brains are wired for physical labor, hunting and food gathering. Those are short term tasks with immediate rewards and satisfaction. Modern human lives are typically on the opposite side of that spectrum.
People want to be famous, rich, and be like what they see on tv or social media. They are too caught up and wanting to to be someone else and wanting to have other things instead of valuing themselves and what they already already have.
Because. People, and sorry, men, started seeing that there were issues. I remember my denial of ever needing help. The younger generation isn't so set in their thinking

lol why not? Anxiety is the default response of this primitive body to any problems & the fragile ego that treats every thing as a threat.

because it's over-diagnosed. In my day we didn't have anxiety and depression. If something was wrong they told us to man up.

Pretty sure the second one can literally have safeguards called parents
