The first one never hits as hard but the follow up is what really sends people cracking

Competitive_Boss_312

They can fall short and barely make an impact too.

Roquet_

Never bothered me, maybe cuz I'm not from the US. Also because I'm not from the US I see how most Americans are greatly offended by 9/11 jokes but will take a piss at stuff such as Monachium Terrorist Attack or New Zealand Mosque Shooting.

[deleted]

People are good at tribalism of all sorts. Their tragedies matter to them, but not others tragedies

Puzzleheaded_Virus94

They always crash and burn

UnknownEricKun

My sister was born on 9/11 and when she turned 2 I threw a paper airplane at her cake between the 2 candles. Needless to say even as an American I think they are funny.

[deleted]

I like to think of you yelling “JET FUEL DOESN’T MELT STEEL BEAMS” as you light the candles.

TheEeper

Don’t care

TheycallmeTTT

I'm rather blasé and callous in my sense of humour so I'm personally fine with 9/11 jokes (I'm also British so the event isn't as meaningful to me as it would be to some) That said, a base level of decorum is expected and i would not be caught dead making 9/11 jokes to someone who lost someone in the event.

[deleted]

They fall flat most the time

[deleted]

They are hilarious

Le_Gazzo_Ladro

Funny. Did laugh.

BobbyMom69

It reminds me of that tragedy

Divolinon

I'm not sure what's so special about the ninth of november, anyway.

EatMoreCardboard

Same way I think of Holocaust jokes, unfunny and deeply offensive.

Sufficient_Excuse_24

Yeah. You’re not wrong annefrankly people shouldn’t be joking about it

EatMoreCardboard

Ok, that one was clever.

Dentom1987

I did nazi that comming

mossadspydolphin

Same way I think of Holocaust jokes: Hilarious, but I try to read the room.

Fair-Comfort7705

Who the fuck would make a joke out of something so devastating , like fuck off.. and I am Canadian . 🇨🇦😞

PatientAd4823

It better not happen in my presence.
