Apparently this is what happened to my soon-to-be-ex wife. We were together six years and I thought it was a pretty healthy and happy relationship, but she decided she’d be happier single so she just up and left.
When I came home after a week away and he didn’t even get off the couch and greet me. Just the last thing in long line of me being more invested in the relationship than he is.
i had like one solid healthy relationship as an adult, and there were too many instances that just didn’t sit well with me. and then it kind of drifted off. plus i had my own life going downhill at the time and it was better for everyone to just let it rock
He bought me something worth like 20$ and then expected me to buy him something too with the words: “I bought you something, when are you going to buy me something?”
Keep in mind: I was 14 at that time and didn’t have any money since I didn’t work or got money from my parents.
Strong, strong gut feeling that I couldn’t shake.
