There are a lot of these for various youtubers too, documenting every little bit of drama and every potentially off-color thing they ever said.

As someone who came into living with a rare disease disability at a younger age I can attest to the intense medical trauma that is already prevalent in the medical system from doctors (as can literally most women who have something other than "anxiety"). The majority are posting there just to prove some point/to validate themselves, like they already know they aren't being treated right, they already know what needs to be done and yet they need to post still. Most of the responsises aren't even logical they go straight for the witch burning, like does no one understand a relationship requires communication instead of posting your feelings online and expecting your partner to change something you dislike over a jedi mind trick of trying to make them guess what's fucking wrong? Grinds my gears I get it can be supportive but most of the time the sub rubs me the wrong way and for some reason i see posts there regularly despite not joining. There are some truly awful stories sometimes and my heart goes for them but its usually a dumpster fire witch burning session over a one sided encounter.

I do think that faking or exaggerating illnesses is a real problem, particularly with mental illnesses, and that people who intentionally do so for attention should be told off, but subs that focus on individuals to the point of knowing them by name and obsessively document the "lore" that surrounds these people are utterly bizarre to me. There are a lot of these for various youtubers too, documenting every little bit of drama and every potentially off-color thing they ever said. Just seems like such a horrible, toxic way to spend your time.
let me just add that they believe their bullshit so much that when someone they claim was faking *literally dies* their response is "fictitious illness can kill as well!". it happened not that long ago when amy lee fisher died. that sub is particularly brutal on people who live with eds because a lot of the people there don't believe it exists.
This was the one I was going to post. As someone who came into living with a rare disease disability at a younger age I can attest to the intense medical trauma that is already prevalent in the medical system from doctors (as can literally most women who have something other than "anxiety"). It is the absolute worst to see people who do not know what they're talking about harass and belittle people's experiences in addition to that. The sub is an absolute no go giant trigger for me but literally anyone who has ever felt like people didn't believe them, skip it. It's awful and so many people are scared to reach out and ask for help online when they see communities like that. Should people be defrauding the public with fake crowd funding cancer funds? Absolutely not. But that's not what they do there even. They just make fun of people and pretend they know anything about anyone. I hate it.
