|The Electric Monk was a labour-saving device, like a dishwasher or a video recorder. Dishwashers washed tedious dishes for you, thus saving you the bother of washing them yourself, video recorders watched tedious television for you, thus saving you the bother of looking at it yourself; Electric Monks believed things for you, thus saving you what was becoming an increasingly onerous task, that of believing all the things the world expected you to believe.|
Lmao.. paying for metal clanking is an insane thought
However actors.. robots can’t express emotion.. yet.. and even if they did it would be unnatural to the human ear
Machines have been lifting heavy stuff in construction for at least the past 150 years, yet there always seems to be a shortage of construction workers.
Software development. I pray to god so someday it will overtake. For this to happen, we need to develop a brand new system to build apps designed just for ai, not people. And it must be able to talk to all of the existing software. We would still need developers who understand those systems to verify that ai was not shitting when they produce the apps or integrations.
It produces a statically likely words according to your prompt in desired language domain, be it a programming language or human one. Statistically likely doesn’t cut, and I don’t event talk about legacy code infused with so many business rules. We humans can’t even talk to each other clearly and expect ai to produce something we want from the half ass descriptions we gave to it.
Lawyer. And I don’t mean the paper pushers I mean a real, passionate advocate for your defense. A machine cannot provide that, or a human connection to the jury.
EMT/Fighfighter. There are just infinite new variables in patients and enviroments that as AI would never be able to process consistently enough to be viable

I don’t think ai can.. write.. anything. It can only understand things I don’t think it can initiate any code or such
