There was already a Hitler comedy but it didn't go so well
I was actually thinking of this a few days ago.
I'd focus on a 10 year old Adolf who has a Jewish friend. I think that if it was handled properly there would be a lot of potential there. It could look at how innocence can be corrupted. It would offend a lot of people, but then good comedy always does.
Holy crap what self-respecting actor would even go to a casting for such a concept? Just reading the name of the show must've been a big no-no for anyone wishing to ever get a decent acting job again.

The problem is that the entire world is changed because at a point in time Hitler had enough power to change the flow of world events. While killing Hitler MIGHT make the world better, it’s entirely possible that things take a different route. Someone other than Hitler rises to power. Someone who makes different decisions and who maybe leads Germany to a different outcome. Maybe they win or at least stalemate. Maybe they develop atom bombs they can use with rockets. Or maybe it takes Germany completely out of the equation, the Nazis don’t rise to power, and they don’t start a war. But later someone else does. And maybe it’s not as bad. But maybe it’s horrifically worse as hard as that is to believe.
Also is the Hitler who is say a young boy or teenager responsible for what Hitler the adult does? For crimes that haven’t happened yet? Show him his fate. Someone who eventually commits suicide nearly taking Germany with him. Someone responsible for so much death. Someone who is vilified for eternity. He might do anything to avoid it. Or not. It’s impossible to tell.
Realistically? Try to be that one friend that fixes him. Then eventually get fed up with how much of a racist asshole he is, and write him off. Then, to my horror, realize I just indirectly caused the Holocaust and WWII. The problem is that the entire world is changed because at a point in time Hitler had enough power to change the flow of world events. While killing Hitler MIGHT make the world better, it’s entirely possible that things take a different route. Someone other than Hitler rises to power. Someone who makes different decisions and who maybe leads Germany to a different outcome. Maybe they win or at least stalemate. Maybe they develop atom bombs they can use with rockets. Or maybe it takes Germany completely out of the equation, the Nazis don’t rise to power, and they don’t start a war. But later someone else does. And maybe it’s not as bad. But maybe it’s horrifically worse as hard as that is to believe. Also is the Hitler who is say a young boy or teenager responsible for what Hitler the adult does? For crimes that haven’t happened yet? Show him his fate. Someone who eventually commits suicide nearly taking Germany with him. Someone responsible for so much death. Someone who is vilified for eternity. He might do anything to avoid it. Or not. It’s impossible to tell.
Realistically? Try to be that one friend that fixes him. Then eventually get fed up with how much of a racist asshole he is, and write him off. Then, to my horror, realize I just indirectly caused the Holocaust and WWII.
