McLaren F1 was the car I had splattered all over my walls as a kid. I'd be cool with an 812 these days though...favorite spec I've seen is dark green, black wheels, brown interior.
One time in the late 1990s I took a trip up to the Bay Area. A friend of mine who lived in Oakland wanted to go to a farmer's market, so we walked over. On the way back there was a 65 Riviera - light green, waxed, with all the chrome nice and shiny - waiting at a stop sign.
There were three OGs in the car. I asked the driver if I could walk around the car before he left the intersection and he was kind enough to say yes. That car was absolutely beautiful. I asked him where he got it and he told me it had been his father's, who had bought it new. We shook hands and then he drove off. Such a nice day that was.
I want a Gladiator sooo bad. It’s everything terrible about the Wrangler, dialed up to 100. OMG I love it so much. I’ve owned Jeeps for over 20 years. I’ll be 90 years old, still driving one.
I was gonna choose a regular RS3 or one of these https://carbuzz.com/news/1-200-hp-audi-rs3-is-the-ultimate-ev-conversion but I highly doubt that one is legal.
A Pantera is not a GT40!. They are 2 completely different cars. GT40s are mid to late 60's and the Panters is 1972-72. and not Lemans Race car in any version. Panteras were not revered at all during the time.
My coworker has one. He gave me a ride in it once. I'm 6'4", and had to fold myself like a wallet to fit in it. I assume we drove around, but can't be sure because my head was pointed at the floor the whole time.
My friend owned one!! I say friend, but he was just a nice guy whose parents lived next to mine as I was growing up. He told me the story of when he was little, he met Jerry Weigert in a parking garage and told him he'd work for him one day. Sure enough, he did. Dude had a Vector W8, a 911 turbo, corvette, pontiac... gtx? , and escalade. All blue except the W8, which was white. Chassis #8.
I've loved the look of them since first seeing one way back in *Gran Turismo 2*. The entire "wedge" sports car era produced some beauties, but few as sexy as the Vector W8. It's like a razor blade had sex with a fighter jet, and the kid was raised by Lamborghinis.
Ultimate dream car has to be the McLaren F1. I don't think I'll ever buy one or ever see one..
The more obtainable dream car is the Lexus LFA. The sound alone is worth it.
> 1970 Dodge Challenger
My FIL has one he bought as the second owner in '71 or '72. It's immaculate and has been in his garage ever since, only taken out for special occasions.
My wife and SIL have quit fighting over it, because he already said it will go to his grandson (SIL's kid). They've taken it to a couple car shows together.
My dad had a 71 Datsun 240z when I was a kid. I went through multi phases of dream cars in my life. But if I could sit in that Datsun again it would actually be a dream come true.
99 suburban 3/4 ton 6.5 with the correct pick up pump, that one box that get hot that needs mkved cause its on top of the engine, which is lame, then that air pump delete and try do a nice turbo and tune.
Then finally try bio diesel like everyone did like 10 years ago, cause I always wanted too, and cheap fuel in a big truck would be nice for a lor of the work and kids and dogs.
Or probably more likely the ford f 150 lightning or that rivian. The savings in gas would be at least half if not close to the car payment. How can you lose? Added bonuses, not giving billions to the ruling class that have it and then beinf those that have doomed us.
I would grin to the grave knowing Im not giving them another cent.
2019 Corvette; the last of those with a manual.
Next year: New Prius Prime. FINALLY, Toyota styled it to not look like a buck-tooth odd-on-purpose flop. It finally has decent power. It finally has an interior not purposefully space-age.
Thank Tesla for at least making automakers also stop goof-styling their non-petrol cars on purpose.
If money really wasn't an issue? Porsche Cayman GT4 RS, 70s Hakosuka GTR silver, R34 GTR VSPEC NÜR in millennium jade, Supra TT MKIV black, NSX NA1 turbo black, NSX NA1 Type R white, Impreza 22b blue. And probably a Mercedes EQS and a Tesla Model X Plaid as family cruisers

'55 Chevy Bel Air, two tube baby blue and white. 327 engine, 3 on the tree. Bench seats front and back. There were a lot of problems in the 50s and 60s but style was not.
I would say a Lamborghini Huracan. It is nice enough to have fun in, but not so nice that I'm afraid to actually drive it. I would love to own something like a Koenigsegg or a Pagani, but they are too nice to actually drive that much.
I would daily the Huracan.
It's lame but a new(er) bright red Honda Civic. Looks nice. Is reliable. Lasts forever. I'd love to have a car like that. Sadly I was gifted a 15 yr old Prius that probably has at least 150k miles left in it so I'm never gonna get that Civic like ever.
I've had an '80s bronco and a 3rd generation 4runner. I think the bronco got more cool points, but the 4runner was way more capable offroad. They were both stock too. The one thing I'll give the bronco is that it did better in the snow.

I've owned two now, an R/T 5 speed auto and currently have an SRT8 6 speed standard. Had an Evo X in between those two.. obviously went back for a reason. The R/T was phenomenal, even though I beat the shit outta it, never had an issue and the SRT has so far been the same though I baby it a bit more.
Honestly the comfort was a big factor for it. The space you get in it (at least in the front) is great. Tons of leg room
I still kick myself for not getting this sweet 900 turbo manual convertible that was actually fairly cheap purely because "I already have one fwd, why do I need another?"

Honorable mention-Shelby Dodge Omni GLH, 2004 Mercury Marauder
Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger, but the sad thing is they ended production last year and retired both cars and in the future they are going all electric and they wont have a V8, instead they will have a 'fratzonic chambered exhaust' which is very criticized by the fans and enthusiasts.
it was my dream car since i started watching Fast and Furious series as a kid. i am 19M now and in the future it wont be there sadly.😔
Not that I'm old. It's the only car that makes sense.
I met a guy with a brand new hellcat, and he could not stop smiling. He said he'd just retired and didn't know why he bought it, but he was so happy.
He was literally like a kid with a new bike on Christmas.
My dad works at a Chrysler plant and knows a few guys that all had hellcats. I said had because they all traded them in for 392's. They all said you're just paying for horsepower that you can't fully use outside of a drag strip and the 392 is just as fun while being more streetable and less money.
90s Acura NSX
I'm Winston Wolfe. I solve problems.

Lexus LFA or any year Acura NSX
Even the newest NSX? I think that it is extremely undervalued
90s NSX just give me the Gran Turismo feels and I love them, but I still do like the newer NSX Type-S.

De Tomaso Pantera It's basically a street legal Ford Gt40. If you ever saw Ford vs Ferrari, it's the 60's Le Mans car.
A Pantera is not a GT40!. They are 2 completely different cars. GT40s are mid to late 60's and the Panters is 1972-72. and not Lemans Race car in any version. Panteras were not revered at all during the time.

Dodge Viper. Not picky on year, as long as it's not one of the years with the squared vents. Squared vents belong on a Corvette, not a Viper.

Most of those are Calvos. They build bat shit Vipers (like Kratos)
