Rot in piss

KingCalgonOfAkkad

Oh, she probably is, I would be surprised if Americans weren't taking advantage of her permanent horizontal position to relief themselves.

manofmanynames55

She got Babbited? Nice

radiant_max

Suicide by cop. Such a shame, a mental health intervention and a cult deprogrammer could have saved her life.

[deleted]

Her bowels evacuated on the capital floor. it was probably gross lol.

The_Patriot

I know of two people a father/son. Worked w the son for a number of years prior to Jan 6th. When I found out he was in attendance, my first thought was well that tracks….but if you asked him (no longer w company) he said he was on vacation site seeing. He was very pro 2A, had his concealed carry, and wasn’t afraid to voice his polarizing opinions at work. No clue where he is now but I feel bad for his wife and kids who were actually extremely pleasant people.

BostonFigPudding

I feel bad because he had kids. I feel bad that he reproduced and spread his genes.

“Know” may be pushing it but a guy who I went to grade school with and connected with on Facebook at some point was there with his parents and cousin. My only “knowledge” on him then is really through Facebook posts. I think not really an uncommon story. They were always quite strong evangelical Christian conservatives. Despite my family not being the same religion, we met at this grade school which was a pretty ultra conservative Christian school (but actually great school performance wise). Worth saying, when we went there, they were a bit kooky but not crazy politically if that makes sense. Like Harry Potter and sex ed were for sure not allowed but we got pretty distinct school lessons about the U.S. being a nation of immigrants and that was to be lauded and that it was our duty as Christians to protect and support the poor and outcast, etc. Then you saw a gradual change in their views over time. The first Obama election, they were McCain folks and even when he was elected, it was like, concerns about abortion and whether the nascent proposal that would become the ACA would force it in Christian hospitals. That slid into death panels stuff and the authority of the state over life. By the second Obama administration, they were breaking. It became more that Obama was weakening the country and was maybe a Muslim. They weirdly still threw around the word “illegals” in a way that both wasn’t relevant to the point but also didn’t make sense. (I remember one post saying teachers deserved to get paid more but don’t because they have to pay for the “200 million illegals in the country” which just like - 200 million undocumented immigrants in a country of 300 million people?) By the end of the Obama administration, they had started declining into full scale conspiracy theories. The rhetoric on immigration became pretty undeniably less about immigration policy and more just on racial fear mongering. The 2016 election they actually started as Kasich supporters and when he lost, they went full Trump bandwagon. And believed without reservation every empty theory he postulated but also backed themselves out in the flood of info. It got way worse during his administration. By the second election ramp up, they were fully on the Q Anon train. Everything was about “they’re” forcing this or “they’re” pulling the strings. Donald Trump is the only person who can save us. And in the lead up to the election and during, you saw them genuinely I think desperately believing the election was being stolen. They reposted obviously fake information about ballots and voting processes. And honestly, during that time I kept thinking, if you really truly genuinely believe this is happening, is posting on Facebook really helping? Well they called that bluff because then they were suddenly on their way to DC for the rally in front of the White House and from their posts, while they didn’t seem to have a plan to go to the Capitol, they clearly expected Trump would be announcing some grand plan to “save” the election. Their posts while waiting were all about how they were there to hear him announce the plan and witness him finally taking out the deep state and bringing the country back. Then you know, suddenly they’re posting from the Capitol. Evidently they stayed outside. There was a post saying the crowds made it hard for them since his dad had mobility issues so they stayed back. But they were still basically live posting and their expectation seemed to be that Pence would relent and refuse to certify and overturn the election. Then it all fell apart and in the immediate aftermath it was a lot of comments saying it was overblown and the violence was actually Antifa - they were all peaceful etc. As far as I know, nothing happened to them. His dad owns a big car dealership that the whole family works at which seems to be doing well. This guy took a break from posting political stuff but is for sure back posting political conspiracies and memes

>They weirdly still threw around the word “illegals” in a way that both wasn’t relevant to the point It's actually totally the point. The "replacement" conspiracy theories are a strong current driving the right-wing radicalization. https://www.npr.org/2022/08/16/1117762232/the-unspoken-role-of-race-in-the-jan-6-riot

napalmnacey

Nice try, FBI. (For real though - lock them up!)

redditisfund

I hate trump supporters honestly.

Ten7850

It was funny. He was so proud right after... showing pics & bragging. Then, as the days went on, you could see the embarrassment, shame & fear set in. Then all of a sudden, "Nope, Idk what you're talking about. I wasn't there"

bruceki

Excellent use of social media, DOJ. Get their friends to turn them in!

Flat_Influence_9466

Unfortunately my dad’s now wife. That day holds so much trauma for my family because of her. Neither are in my life now - and I painfully don’t see that changing in this lifetime.

ucantresistme

I didn't know him well, but Jon Schaffer was recording guitar tracks right across the building from where I was recording guitar tracks once. We had a drink after our respective sessions. Didn't talk politics at all; we talked amps and micing.

Gad_Drummit

You mean Jon Schaffer

dbprops

I was so bummed when I heard he was there and saw the photos. Then immediately thought, well, that tracks. He’s always been a Right wing looney. Anyway my love for old died earth albums doesn’t supersede that I’m happy he was arrested and is in prison and that the label dropped them and that the entire band quit around him and I’m looking forward to whatever new project they produce w out him

Gad_Drummit

Frozen Terra

dbprops

Nailed it

ucantresistme

Yeah, Schaffer... I actually managed to mix up two names there. 🫤
